They also offer cash for books you want to sell, or twice as much as in-store credit."

Did not like it at all. I took in $80.00(therefore $40.00 at half price) worth of books. The lady at the counter said that she would calculate my credit as I would browse around the store. After 15-20 minutes of struggling to find even 1 book worth purchasing(most of the genre I am interested in were at least 4 years or older), I took the book to the checkout. When I got there, the lady told me what my books were worth in trade. I was so shocked by her answer that I had her repeat the answer. My $80.00 of books were worth $3.50. After recovering from the shock, l took the book I had picked out for exchange and dropped it onto the counter. I then said, "There is no way that I am going to proceed with this trade at that ridiculous exchange price". I then collected up the books that I had brought in and exited the store in frustration. I have never been back to any of thier locations in the 17-19 years ago in which this situation had taken place. As for the books, I went to another book store and was happy with the 2 to 1 exchange rate that I had received.

I like the book selection and advice I can get from here. They are well organized so I can find the books I am looking for. They are fairly selective in which books they carry, so I don't have to sort through 50 copies of Dianetics before I get to a worthwhile book. They can consistently tell me if they have a book or not as well as which location has it. I do not begrudge them making a profit, they are after all a business.

Lots of good books but they traded my used books for pennies on the dollars. Got $20 for 8 bags of books: guy explained when I asked that it takes a lot of money to run the store and they were barely getting by.......found one that was mine on the shelf for $16 and another for $18.Felt totally ripped off.

So many choices! Be prepared to spend lots of time in here perusing. I got a classic novel and a business book both for a great price. Owner is organized and knowledgeable. Will return!

Used book store with many, many titles on many shelves. Only browsed since I own enough books already. They will buy your books I guess, or give you store credit..

Went into the 17th Avenue location to purchase some books, while there i noticed a discrepancy on the price of one of their books, they were selling a visibly damaged used book for $5 more than what a new copy at chapters costs - I'd understand if it was a rare or hard to find book, but literally every chapters in the city carries the book. I went upto the young lady at the cash desk and pulled the information up on my phone to show her, and tell her that I think the book was mispriced, I was instantly given attitude, and she just shrugged like "yeah, so?", I felt this to be very rude, and I told her that she didn't have to cop an attitude with me, at which point she became even ruder with me and started to argue with me that she wasn't giving me attitude. All in all, I feel that this place lacks good customer service skills, or maybe just biased towards first nations individuals.
