The room we got did not look like the photos. We were staying in two separate rooms. Some of my friends had a great new renovated room like shown in the photos but me and my other friends had an old dated room that looked like it had been designed in the 80s. Only had one bathroom for the 4 of us. On the other hand the location was great, right at the front of the beach, only a few steps and you are on the beach. The rooms were very close to some great restaurants.

Fairshore’s position is the best - both for beach access and Hastings Street, but it is dated now - 50 years at least, so we felt it was overpriced. The pool is excellent.|We had booked a ground floor unit with direct beach access and we’re allocated Unit #10. The decor was just terrible, dated and complete with chipped Formica bench tops. The bathroom smelled bad, and to top it off there were deposits from the previous occupants in the toilet. We definitely were not going to stay in it, even if we had to walk away.|Fortunately the admin staff (who were just great) were able to move us to unit #13 which was at least three stars better and had an extra bathroom.

Currently staying here right now (8/6-11/6) and honestly this is such a beautiful apartment to stay in. We are staying on level 3 and it has one of the best views overlooking the pool and the beach. Fairshore is along Hastings street which makes it’s very handy to go out wandering/exploring knowing it’s a short walk back to the apartments. The apartment itself it’s really lovely big enough to fit 4 adults. The rooms are fine but the second room is definitely small for 2 adults but there is a built in ensuite too. The sketchy lift was working whilst we are here but it’s easier to take the stairs if convenient. 10/10 apartments. Everyone here is lovely and even housekeeping is involved. Pool is lovely and heated and there is a nice spa to go with it. Easy access points to the beach and the street.

I’m going to preface this review by saying that the apartments are individually owned and decorated. No one apartment is the same. Some a newer and more updated than others||We spent a few nights at Fairshore over the Australia Day long weekend and we had the best time. That view! And the location! It doesn’t get any better. We normally stay at the Sofitel when staying in Hastings street but this was perfection. The kids loved being able to run onto the beach in their pjs when the sun came up and run back to our apartment. We stayed in apartment 24 on the second level. The apartment was nice and although not fancy it was exactly what we needed with 2 young kids. Our 2 bedroom apartment was a good size with comfortable beds and furnishings. With a full kitchen you have the ability to prepare all your meals in your room however we opted to eat out as we weren’t there that long. The little laundry area for longer stays was a good idea if you needed it. ||The only downsides were having to clean up all dishes, rubbish, etc before you left and as other people mentioned the price is a little high at $900 a night however I’ve seen the prices much higher which is why I jumped at the chance to stay here and try it out. We’ll definitely be back

We had a beautiful week at Fairshore apartment 22 in December 2023. Perfect location right on Hastings St, amazing view from the balcony for sunset drinks and dinner. The pool had some teenagers and families with toddlers (including our own) but no one very noisy and all respectful of other guests. Apartment 22 interiors have a fresh modern, coastal vibe. Master bed is extremely comfortable. We will be back!

Very disappointed in the resort, there was no lift access to your rooms. We had to carry our luggage, 52 steps to the room. I do not know how this is compliant, especially for servicing wheelchair access The place was built in the 80s and it really needs a good refurbishment. Compared to other resorts for example On The Beach next door, this is very low standard in comparison - it doesn't even have a public toilet in the pool area. You would have to go back to your apartment to use the bathroom facilities. They give you two bathroom towels when asked the cleaner if we could take two more but we were refused, as we were only staying six days if you stayed seven days they could have replaced the towels, and clean your apartment, but this needs to be changed. If you're staying there for six days every three days your sheets and towels should be replaced, for what we paid $900 a day this is not good enough. The furniture is old there's no luxury in the apartment. The bed is very small and uncomfortable. It needs a through clean. On The Beach Resort is a hundred times better, it's newer and has a lot better facilities. Oh and the bathrooms are old, small and cheap quality. Shower head doesn't have a shower hose. They must put in a lift to have access in every room and do a major overhaul for the whole of the apartments. If they want their business to survive compared to their oppositions everywhere.

Great view from our apartment, we had number 37 - Ocean view 2 Bedroom Superior Apartment for 4 adults, location great. Noting that the main bedroom did not have the ensuite but the 2nd bedroom did. TV is in all rooms. Make sure you book Bang Bang - excellent food

Beware of this hotel, I wish I read the other reviews before I booked. We requested to change rooms at check in as we had paid for a premium (apparently updated) $1000+ per night room and it was complete opposite and they said no we couldn’t move rooms. We stayed in apartment 18 and I couldn’t wait to go home. I called them and asked to vacuum twice as the entire apartment was dirty. They came and vacuumed the floor only, even next to the dryer which I showed them wasn’t done. The couch and cushions were filthy, shocked that this is allowed in a hotel, very unhygienic. I looked under the couch and I was mortified I don’t know if they had ever vacuumed under it. I’m also very surprised that Qantas partner with such a hotel. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The pool also needs an upgrade with cracked tiles, broken off metal drain edging exposing sharp edges. I wish I never booked this hotel, don’t waste your money. I took some pictures of the filthy apartment. They need to deep clean it all including changing the couches. I don’t think the stove top extractor fan has ever been cleaned, disgusting smell and appearance. I would hate to see inside the dish washer filter. Terrible
