I was planning my baby's 3rd birthday and I decided to have it at Fair View Nairobi only to realize that I had made one of the best decisions ever! |The receptionist was so helpful and with great energy. She ensured we were comfortable in the cold weather to the extent of organising the fireplace for my baby just to keep us warm. You're a star Gertrude! |The staff at the poolside restaurant were also super amazing! They served us so well, ensured we were comfortable and even went to the extent to surprise my baby with happy birthday song making her day super memorable. Aaaw thank you team. Your warmth was felt throughout our stay. |The food was top notch too. |God bless you team Fair View! I'm definitely coming back again soon

I love this hotel and my family have stayed many times over the years. The staff are so helpful (especially Helen in reception)the beds comfortable and it’s like escaping to a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. This really feels like home in NBO rather than a soulless corporate hotel with branded dripmats. Monkeys parade around the beautiful gardens and all staff are so welcoming||The breakfasts are incredible and the food and cocktails are fabulous (happy hour is 5-7pm!) ||The one flaw is that there are no sun loungers next to the pool. They are up some stairs in a separate area and unfortunately my elderly mother couldn’t manage the steps. ||It used to be a mix of pool side sun loungers with tables and chairs which worked well…(one can feel a bit self conscious going in to the pool in-front of everyone having lunch!)|Please can we have a few sun beds around the pool even if it’s a tiny amount?|Otherwise this hotel gets 10/10||Whilst in Kenya here’s some further recommendations… ||We have used a fantastic driver and travel organiser called Jimmy Kamau for around 20 years. A very reliable family man and reasonably priced. He booked everything for us including the fairview for our annual 10 day trip around Kenya. He even went to the market to buy flowers we wanted as we didn’t want to be sat in heavy traffic on our last day. Highly recommended his number is +254 722 706 521||I can also recommend a fantastic masseuse who comes to your room at the Fairview with her own bed etc (mum and I had ours outside in the garden which was heaven) It’s 6800 for a 1 hour massage (7500 for 90 mins which is approx £50) and is one of the best I’ve ever had in a beautiful setting. the Food at the Fairview is soo good ,there is truly no need to leave the hotel. They have a large dining buffet that is amazing but the 24/7 outdoor restaurant they have in the front of the hotel has the best food! Lemon sea bass, The ribeye, a tender Lamb shank or chops, and probably the best pizza in all of Nairobi! For an added touch order the dawa with honey if your not feeling well or just want to have an amazing hot drink.

Surrounded by trees we almost felt like we were in a tropical paradise. The service is top notch and the amenities are great. The main highlight is the quality of the air you breathe due to the vegetation.

Just spent a week at the Fairview Hotel, for a team meeting. I loved every minute of it. The Conference support (Margaret and Vincent in special), the chefs and the restaurant staff (Scholar and Mary <3 ) and folks at the reception, especially Florence and Ibrahim were some few of this incredible team. I was really impressed by how well kept the hotel is, the natural materials (wood and stone) the colours, the furniture, everything was so gorgeous... But the top of the cream were the gardens. Truly magical. I stayed at the single room and it is by far the best bed I have - even having stayed in more expensive or luxurious hotels. I slept a solid 9 out of 10 (my average is a 7) all the nights there. I will miss Fairview Hotel and can't wait to come back. The team supporting the conference, of which I was the facilitator, was so solid: ready, solicitous, creative and most of all, very caring. I could see everyone's smiles around and could only imagine the type of management/leadership the hotel has - everybody worked in a committee and joyful way, with ease and presence. Well, looking forward to my next stay. Thank you team, you shine! Especially thanks to Margaret and Vincent.

Negative:- I found the staff who were serving outside biased,no one acknowledged me and my brother,we had to go and take our own menu, stood up and went to them again to place our order, the only time they showed concern is when it was time to pay !!!!!! I mean ?? Positive:- Reception staff were amazing and helpful all around at least there I felt welcomed.Amazing location, view and outdoor area looked superb,I wish to visit again but at the moment am having second thoughts.

I booked at the fairview looking for that old colonial feel on a business trip. I am also an IHG member so that made it a double attraction. Unfortunately the place is not great. Especially for a business traveller when you want to have a fairly decent breakfast as your primary meal of the day.||The food is just terrible, the food and beverage manager should have some deep soul searching. The food is inedible. Besides breakfast, I ordered various dishes at the coffee shop and the rest pool restaurant and had to send them back.||The room was comfortable but on two mornings had to wait 15 mins for hot water.||WiFi speed is average.||The only saving grace for the place are the staff that couldn’t be nicer! From Bernard the porter to the waiting staff and the chefs. ||IHG u should inspect this place it doesn’t meet your basic standards. I would currently rate it as lower than a holiday inn.
