From other reviews, we heard this place was the best bbq ever.... so being from Texas where we pride ourselves and feast on great bbq like Blacks and Rudys bbq amongst many others...we took that as a fun challenge :) So we started with the Scallops on a slab of bacon nestled in cream corn sauce and Chimichurri as an appertif. Very very good. Big win with us.
Next, we went straight for the "meat" of this bbq contest.
The meat (brisket and ribs) are fallapart tender. Very important in any bbq rating. The bbq sauce has a unique taste...is that cinnamon? The cornbread was grilled, nice touch. The coleslaw is good. Now back to the main event, the beef. Of course, everyone has their own cooking method. Faite A' L'os is going with a glaze on the brisket, perhaps the same as on the pork ribs - which are excellent, BTW. We miss the southern or Texas "bark" (i.e., the outer flavored crust which seals in the juices) ... BUT ... we agree this is damn good, bbq!!! Go Canada!! Overall we really liked it.
