I ordered a takeout, a portion of falafel on pitta 🥙 bread, and yes, it is the best in town.
The hummus tasted freshly made, and the falafel was prepared to order. Pitta bread was super soft as well. I spoke to the staff, and she mentioned they are baked daily at a bakery, so that explains why they’re so soft. Very yummy 🤤

Ordered a falafel salad with homous for lunch (circa 1pm). Took 3-4 minutes, and tasted fresh and good, also came with a lemon & mint drink. Place was busy and everyone seemed happy - nice seating by the store.

The flavour combination of peppers, hummus, and other fermented veggies in their wrap make falafel - which I often find a bit dry - come to life. Huge fan of their food. Also, the lemonade was a nice surprise.

It’s true that this place doesn’t ever seem to open on time, often much much later than advertised, and even then, when it seems it’s finally opened for the day, you probably have to wait some more 😂
And the portion size has got smaller while the price has got higher. *BUT* it is really good falafel- the best I’ve had in London (I love falafel!) and everyone I’ve brought here has loved it too. I’ve frequently waited and waited and waited because it’s that good. (Saying this, it would be great if they could open when they say they will, I often can’t meet friends here simply because you just can’t be certain if/when they’ll actually open.)

I used to love this place when it was further down the road closer to Portobello market and I was gutted when I found out it was closed. It was only recently that I discovered they were still open but at a different location. Hands down this is the best falafel in London! They are soft, well cooked and not dry (which so many others are) and the homemade hummus is just delicious. This place does simple falafel very well. And the fresh juice you get is so tasty. I love it here

*UPDATE*
Having moved to the area recently, I was disappointed to find Falafel King out of business. Very disappointing! Not sure if it's temporary or permanent nonetheless do not travel all the way - you will be disappointed.

Falafels are prepared fresh and fried right in front of you, their smell reminiscent of an authentic middle eastern kitchen.
I opted for the pitta bread meal - it is filled with salad, hummus, tahini, coriander/chilli sauce and a sweet pepper sauce before the falafels go in. Very filling, satiating and authentic. Not bad for £7!

Simple delicious falafels, cooked to perfection by the owner who cares about his food.
Sure, you may have to wait but definitely worth the wait.
My tip, arrive early and save to eat later.

Note* "israeli" falafel, and not the authentic palestinian/lebanese 👎
These guys have lost the plot, charging £9 for the SMALLEST falafel sandwich (literally 2 pieces) I've ever had. And they act like the hummus is gold dust. Mate it is £2 for a tub in the shop. Don't support these kind of people they are straight up ripping you off and taking you for fools. Oh but because they give you some tap water with a squeeze of lemon it's worth it? What a joke lol.
