We recently stayed with our two kids (8 yrs and 4yrs) and had an amazing time. It was so well equipped for children. The kids loved the pool, the water slide and also the soft play area was great to have when us adults needed some downtime. And the arcade games were a big hit too! The food and drinks were excellent. Really varied and delicious and the bar with its well equipped snacks meant you could stay by the pool and fuel up. We always loved the water aerobics each day - the staff were always working hard and made it really fun. We were so impressed with the staff and how hard working everyone was. We also used the spa which was lovely and relaxing. And there’s a great shop on site including clothes, pool inflatables, toys, souvenirs. The resort is perfectly placed on the beach so you can easily stroll down and just soak up the atmosphere. I’d highly recommend going to Falkensteiner.

We have not long returned from an 8 night stay here and all we can say is Wow. The hotel was absolutely fantastic, our room was lovely and spacious. Cleaned daily and always fresh towels. We especially loved the addition of robes, it added a really nice touch. ||The pool area was great, we spent a lot of time in the heated pool however we loved the main pool as well. The slide was also a massive bonus. The entertainment team around the pool really made our holiday worth it. The 2 guys who do the pool exercise in the morning were great, always up for a laugh and we genuinely enjoyed their presence and they made our holiday 10x better. ||The all day snack bar was fantastic, the fresh fruit and salad all day was something we really enjoyed, the hot dogs were the best hot dogs ever!! All the cocktails were great (even if they were a little on the strong side) ||As for the restaurant, breakfast was great I loved the omelettes fresh every morning, Lunch and Dinner was nice with a great variety of options and there really is something for everyone.

Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend We stayed at this resort for a week during the summer holidays, and if I could give negative stars, I would. Unfortunately, even one star feels too generous. The resort markets itself as "all-inclusive," but that couldn't be further from the truth. At nearly every turn, we were hit with extra charges. The arcade? Costs extra. Want a proper drink? That'll cost you too. The so-called "free" drinks were barely drinkable—only the beer was somewhat decent. Food options were extremely limited and disappointing. There’s only one restaurant, and the quality of the food was poor. Vegetarian choices were nearly nonexistent, and even basic service was lacking. Plates in the restaurant were often very dirty, and staff seemed indifferent to this. When our food was finished, we had to ask repeatedly for refills, which shouldn’t be the case in an all-inclusive resort. We also had to fetch our own wine (which was terrible) and coffee. The waitstaff seemed disengaged and uninterested. If you're a vegetarian or expecting quality meals as part of your stay, you’ll be forced to eat outside the resort—which defeats the purpose of an all-inclusive package. In fact, we found ourselves leaving the resort daily just to find decent food and activities worth our time and money. The pool was okay, though not particularly memorable. The only positive aspect of the stay was the entertainment staff, who genuinely made an effort to keep guests engaged. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. For such a large resort, it was frustrating that there was only one person at reception at all times. While he was doing his best to attend to guests, it wasn’t nearly enough. This was one of the worst resort experiences I’ve had, especially with children. It’s overpriced, underwhelming, and the “all-inclusive” label is misleading at best.

We booked this hotel a long time ago based on recommendations, mainly because it was described as very child-friendly. We were really excited about our stay. However, before arrival on August 31st, we started reading some recent reviews mentioning a gastrointestinal virus outbreak at the hotel, especially affecting children. This was very concerning, but we tried to stay positive and take our own precautions. Unfortunately, on the evening of September 2nd, our son suddenly started vomiting. We had to spend the entire night at the hospital emergency room, where he was treated with an IV drip. It was a very stressful and worrying experience during what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. When we came back to the hotel, we wanted to inform the hotel doctor, but we were told the service was only available at an extra cost. We also shared our concerns with the reception, asking if there really was an outbreak, but we did not receive a clear answer. We were only told that “it was happening all around Zadar,” which felt dismissive. Sadly, we were directly affected by what seems to be a serious hygiene issue at the hotel. Whether it is related to food, water, or general cleanliness, we cannot say for sure, but it is very disappointing. Our son enjoyed the hotel facilities, but instead of the family holiday we had hoped for. Now we have to spend our last days isolated in our room. We sincerely hope the management takes this issue seriously and addresses the hygiene standards to prevent other families from going through the same unfortunate experience.

We spent a full week at this hotel with our two young children (almost 3 and 5 years old), and we had an absolutely wonderful time. First of all, the food was fantastic — from breakfast to lunch and dinner, the buffets were rich, healthy, and delicious, with a clear Mediterranean influence. Everything was fresh and tasty, and none of us had any digestive issues, contrary to some of the reviews we had read before our stay. The hotel is truly family-oriented, and kids of all ages are warmly welcomed. But what really made our stay exceptional was the kids' play area and the amazing team of entertainers. Although our children barely understand English, they felt completely at ease with the staff from day one. The activities offered are fun, varied, and very well-organized: yoga, T-shirt painting, dance nights, cookie baking, creative workshops, and more. The staff is extremely trustworthy, and we had full confidence leaving our kids in their care — which also allowed us parents to enjoy a bit of downtime. I would highly recommend this hotel to any family looking for a truly family-friendly vacation spot in Croatia. We came back with great memories, happy kids, and the strong desire to return!

Fantastic staff, who will do anything to help. We ended up staying at the resort due to overbooking at the campsite next door. Unfortunately the room wasn’t big enough and due to high season, there were no alternatives. The old wing has been renovated, but cheaply; air conditioning is poor, electrical sockets not working or hanging off the wall, and a smell of damp. Be careful which room you get as ours was near the arcade and so you could hear noise at all hours! Would benefit from blackout curtains. Really enjoyed the spa area, gym and exercise classes. Would not choose to stay here again.

We have just returned from one of the best holidays we have had as a family at Falkensteiner Club Funimation Borik. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean but the staff are, by far, what made this such an amazing holiday. The kids club was absolutely outstanding - every staff member was amazing with my son but a special mention has to go to Jeton. He went above and beyond to bring my, usually shy, son out of his shell. He started the week wanting us in the club with him but by the end, he wanted nothing to do with us! Jeton made that happen and he is an absolute asset to the hotel. Advance was also incredible with the kids. Don’t think I have met a person with more energy and enthusiasm than him. He led the mini discos every night and had everyone (parents included) on the dance floor! ||Niko (I hope that name is correct), David and the two ladies who work at the bar (didn’t catch their names unfortunately) were so friendly and always ready to serve us a new cocktail to try. ||There really aren’t enough positive words to express how much we enjoyed our holiday. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone, particularly those with kids. I really hope we will be able to return someday. ||Thank you so much for such a memorable holiday.
