Falkensteiner Hotel Prague

The location is indeed wonderful. The service over breakfast is nice too. The breakfast itself is good, but nothing outstanding. What was a bit frustrating is lack of service over reception. There are stairs at the entrance to the hotel and there is no one to help you with suitcases. Parking garage is located 150 meters away. You have to walk from it, but parking is great - there is valet service and they can hand-wash your car. It costs 40+ euro per day. We had deluxe room for three days. The room overall is nice, no noise from the street and plenty of space. The bathroom though was a bit off - shower had a strange position we couldn’t change, and there were no heated floor. There were also artificial plants in the room and some big photos on the wall - that looks and feels cheap.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was truly impressive — from the comfortable room to the atmosphere and overall cleanliness. The breakfast was especially outstanding: delicious, varied, fresh. The hotel feels very well-maintained, modern, and thoughtfully organized. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and would happily return. If I may suggest a few small improvements for even greater comfort: – It would be helpful to have a few additional hooks in the entrance area for coats or jackets. – A small bench or shoe-changing stool, as well as a designated luggage stand, would make the room even more convenient. – We also missed having a place to properly dry towels. There was a note encouraging guests to reuse them to save water — which we fully support — but without a drying option it becomes difficult. Adding some space or bars for drying towels would be a great improvement. These are very minor details, and they did not affect our positive experience. Overall, this hotel is fantastic, truly comfortable, and offers excellent value. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travellers.

We were very happy with our modern, clean spacious room. As soon as you walk into the hotel it feels clean and fresh. They were the good points! So we stayed for 3 nights. The first night the Monkey Bar was closed due to a private function?! I felt this was very poor as we had specifically booked this hotel as it had a hotel bar to go back and have a late night drink. We were told we could have a drink in our room! We did not want to do that. They offer 2 for 1 cocktails for residents for one hour but of course you cannot take advantage of that offer if the bar is closed to hotel guests! We also felt the breakfast was very poor. We had seen all the reviews about how good the breakfast was but we do not agree. The first morning we had the an avocado toast and poached eggs. The eggs were almost raw and slimy but we did get the cappuccinos we asked for that day! The second day the pastries had run out and were not refilled. We asked for cappuccinos and after 45 minutes had still not received them. The third day it was so busy but full of tables just covered in dirty plates that no one had cleared away. There was a huge lack of staff present. Again waited 25 minutes for our coffees. Someone on the table next to us complained about the length of time the coffee was taking and was told to go and use the machine if they didn’t like it! It was not the experience we had expected. Would not return.

Hotel room is spacious, clean and the design is modern and we all love it! During the check in, there is some light bites provided near the reception area and it was super tasty! The location is walking distance (around 5-10mins) to many tourist spots.

Clean and comfortable Hotel. Rooms are nice, with a large bathroom and coffee machine. They fill the capsules and give you a bottle of water when they clean. Very nice location. Walking distance from everything in old town and also good connections with the tram and metro near by. Breakfast was excellent. A selection of freshly made A la carte and coffee. With a spred of bread, youghurt, eggs, nuts and fruits. Make your own juice from fresh fruit and order an omelette with mushrooms.

This is a great five star boutique hotel, wonderful room, with helpful staff. Good location, opposite a small park, the road is not busy either. Breakfast, meals and drinks are all in The Monkey Bar, which also has lovely outdoor seating that is covered and heated in the winter. Great selection of food and cocktails. The Spa was also great, we made use of the steam room, sauna and gym.

Easy to solve aftersales issues but are not solved after continued feedbacks: 1) Praha has a very bad reputation about its taxi drivers. Falkensteiner could easily help their guests by calling a cab with fixed pricing without ripping their guests off with a monstrous commission. 2) two streets away is a parking garage with hundreds of free spots - if Falkenstein would pre-arrange a slot for their guests they would prevent a lot of pain ! 3) returning customers are offered a ridiculous 5% bonus - to booking they pay 30% commission - are you kidding me ? 4) the monkey bar serves monstrous ice cubes with barely no alcohol, but fail at simple orders like Long Island ice tea or MaiThai. If the rooms were not new and perfect as the splendid breakfast is one of its kind and friendly breakfast staff, i would kick the hotel out of my adress list.

This is a beautiful hotel, great location. You can walk to sightseeing easily. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was just amazing. You can make your own fresh squeezed juice and so many choices, even a la carte and they prepare it fresh for you. I would definitely stay there again.

Other than the amazing central location, I don't have too many great things to say about this hotel. My room is awkward, with a sloped ceiling right above my bed that requires me to be extremely careful when getting in/out of bed or I'll smack my head (which I totally did a few times). There's no temperature control, so you're at the mercy of whatever the entire building is set at. No air-conditioning means you just have to open a window when it gets hot and hope that the cool air circulates. Towels are extremely thin and everything about the place just seems super basic. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the included breakfast buffet is nice, but it doesn't make up for having a nice place to relax after a long day of work or sightseeing.
