We have visited Italy many times, but this is the first time we have had a poor experience with the food. Breakfast is ok, although the choice of fruit is limited and fluctuates (e.g. can be a number of consecutive days without bananas). Lunch is the best meal the hotel offers. Unfortunately, dinner has been very disappointing. On some evenings, the fish and meat were of such poor quality that the food was almost inedible.
It is also a shame that the swimming pools are not heated, which seems like a missed opportunity.
Main complaint occurred at check-out, when we were overcharged by €300. When we questioned the bill, we found that the charges were for a different room number and included alcoholic drinks – which was surprising, as we do not drink alcohol.
Buyers beware, if you stay here be prepared to set aside a few hours to check and dispute the accuracy of your bill!
