We were very disappointed with the hotel. The bedroom was clean but there was an outside light that stayed on all night and shone straight onto the bed, visible even with curtains closed. The light was for the entrance to the spa from the carpark (staff entrance? The spa is closed at night so why was the light on. There were no paper tissues provide, no pencil and notepad by the phone and no fridge.|The food was disappointing for a 4 star hotel. Fish and chips in the bar had very thick and greasy batter on the fish and the chips were overcooked.|We had dinner in the restaurant on our last night to celebrate. The 4 course dinner was really 3 courses for a set price. We were told that tea or coffee was a course but the dessert menu said "accompanied by tea or coffee" The lamb was cooked to death, the veg were old season root veg and mash potato all dumped in the same bowl. Why not new potatoes and seasonal veg? I order pear and beetroot salad as a starter and it arrived with no beetroot.|The staff were setting tables for breakfast while were having dinner. |Overall we were very disappointed and did not feel it was 4 star standard

I went for a 2 night break to spend time with my niece. Great value and great location. We loved it. Will definitely come back. The jacuzzi is fab. They have a vegan menu which was great for my niece. Friendly, helpful staff. Would recommend a visit

Had a wonderful 2 night stay with dinner included. Food fantastic, clean comfortable room, lovely staff with the most beautiful ground to stroll. Location perfect for the Aran islands from Doolin, walk to Lahinch and the market town of Ennistymon. Don’t usually review but it deserves this positive feedback. Will return to see Clare again

It takes little effort to be friendly. Its an attitude if you are in the service industry. The reception staff on arrival were down right unfriendly. So disappointing after a long journey and when you had prepaid. No smiles. Just scowls. The bar staff, especially “Mark” appear to have forgotten politeness. No please or thank you. Just “what do you want”. The dining room staff were better but an exception rather than part of a well trained crew. I’d not stay there again. I like to feel my business is welcomed. These people are just too arrogant. Go elsewhere.

Room was small but nicely decorated and with a view of the falls. Food excellent in restaurant unfortunately very disappointing in the bar, similar items on both but can only conclude cooked by different chef/kitchen staff. Both restaurant and bar have lovely view of the river. the grounds of the hotel are fabulous with lovely walks in the woods and 4 very cute little donkeys in the front fields. Most of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Two negatives: the lobby area is very dark with low ceilings, it is not a welcoming spot it is dark and depressing. Also some of the breakfast staff - two young girls in particular were so unfriendly, sullen and unhelpful to me and anyone who dared to ask them questions, neither should work in customer facing roles. But overall would recommend

Our spa break away was just magical at this hotel!! Special mention to Carla in the spa who went above and beyond to help accommodate my back injury and answer all my many questions, she deserves huge credit! Every member of staff we met were attentive and helpful. The food was beautiful and the surroundings were exceptional! We'll be back!!!

This hotel is located in the heart of Co Clare and within driving distance of many places of beauty and historical interest. As a family we are regular visitors. The management and staff provide excellent service. From check in, to check out, the staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. We make our reservations with Omar or Bernie who are always very friendly and helpful. Eddie at front of house is always there for any questions.|Food in the restaurant is excellent and overseen by Matilda, constantly checking that everything is OK during service. |With so much emphasis now on our environment this hotel has completed a big sustainability project and it is good to know that when staying in this hotel we have a zero carbon footprint.|We particularly liked the glass water bottle in the room to collect your own water as required. Reminiscent of a time when we didn't drink our water from plastic bottles.|The hotel is very comfortable throughout, and we particularly enjoyed the evening time in the bar which overlooks the beautiful river and water fall.|Food in the bar is excellent, again staff are friendly and efficient.|The interaction between staff and customers is exceptional. Particular thanks to John, Annette and Mike for the welcoming atmosphere.|There is regular entertainment in the bar.|On our recent visit, music in the bar was provided by Laurence Harvey. He plays all the favourite songs and has the talent to have everyone up and dancing for the night. This really adds to the enjoyment in the bar for both dancers and non dancers. The great Co Clare tradition for good music is alive and well in the Falls Hotel.|Overall, this is a great hotel to visit for all age groups.|It's comfortable, friendly, efficient and in an exceptional location.

Couples midweek break. |Old world hotel, with very open and spacious public spaces. The bedroom was spacious and well laid out. Looks freshly decorated and new furniture. The ensuite was large and shower was very good. Some noise penetration, but not much and not an issue. Especially considering the year the hotel was built.|We had dinner in the hotel. I was a bit disappointed with my choice . My wife on the other hand loved hers. When asked by the manager how was our meal. I said one very happy and personally I was a bit ish about mine. The next morning he sought us out at breakfast. This was not expected by us and indicated an excellent attitude towards customer care.||The breakfast was excellent. Great choice both cooked and self service. Service was prompt and polite. They revisited every table to check if everything was ok.||Ennistymon is a small town and on the night we stayed there were two pubs open. However the hotel has nightly music on. Without it we would have been at a loss as what to do. The two lads played traditional music, brilliant. By the end of the night people were up dancing. ||Would we return: Yes|Would we recommend: Yes

Yelp
I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at The Falls Hotel and Spa in Ennistimon. The setting is absolutely lovely, with beautifully manicured grounds that are clearly well-maintained. I particularly appreciated the hotel's commitment to sustainability and eco-friendliness, which made me feel good about my choice to stay there. The water fill stations were a great touch, allowing me to avoid buying bottled water. One thing to note is that there are certain times when food service is unavailable, so if you miss breakfast, you might need to head into town before lunch service starts at the bar. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to check in a bit early, around 2:30 pm, and my room was perfect--clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The on-site dining was solid, with the pavlova dessert being a standout favorite. My only suggestion would be to include a blow dryer and conditioner in the rooms for guests. Ample parking was available, which was a convenient plus. Overall, a wonderful stay that I'd highly recommend.

Yelp
We really liked the lobby design of this hotel, and it was in a very convenient proximity to the Cliffs of Moher. We checked in late and didn't have issues upon arriving. They asked us if we wanted breakfast, but we declined. The hotel is older and remodeled. The rooms felt older but were comfortable enough, tho it was difficult to get to the room to a comfortable temperature with their older thermostat. Beds and linens were fine but not spectacular. We were woken up early the next morning by a staff member outside our window cleaning up glass bottles, which made a lot of noise. Check out should have been quick, but we had to argue about a charge with the front desk saying we'd requested breakfast upon check-in when we had actually declined it and never even saw the dining area. Otherwise, this is a solid place to stay for closer proximity to the Cliffs.

Yelp
Nice hotel and spa. Very friendly staff. But heat doesn't work. Spa was cold and so is the room. Update: you apparently have to ask hotel to turn on your heat. They've now done so adding another star. So believe that spa should not lack heat however.

Yelp
I loved this hotel, but the most memorable was the spa. I am not much of a spa girl, but this was so relaxing and tranquil, I want to come back over and over again. It's too bad I live half way around the world. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Really cosy hotel, beds were very comfortable and the food was excellent! The spa is lovely, big nice pool and outdoor jacuzzi is great with a lovely view. Roisin (blonde lady) was probably one of the most delightful members of staff!

Yelp
My husband, in-laws and I had lunch there today. Very disappointing. Nice hotel but poor quality food and mediocre service. They serve about a teaspoon full of mushy peas. We told the waitress and she didn't care. One of the plates served cold food. We questioned if a burger we ordered was really beef. The chips weren't cooked through. I had to get up a couple times for condiments and water. The TV's were so loud that we ate in the lounge. Anyway, it was totally underwhelming and we won't be back again for a meal. Not worth the 60 plus euro spent.

Yelp
Well what can I say about this hotel except, wow I love it here. Every part of this hotel makes me want to come back again and again. the food quality is great, really friendly staff, spacious rooms, a amazing leisure centre with an outdoor jacuzzi, which is to die for even in the rain and finally a spectacular waterfall just outside the main entrance. This hotel gets 10 out of 10 from me. I will be staying here again.

Yelp
Absolutely lovely. The grounds are amazing, the hotel is gorgeous. Make sure you book the spa early as they can't accommodate very many appts. Dinner was delicious and breakfast the next morning wasn't half bad.

Yelp
Stayed here for a second time four years later and it was just as good of a stay as the first time! The restaurant in the hotel as been updated since which is beautiful. Both the restaurant/Bar and breakfast area give wonderful views while enjoying your meal. The rooms were very spacious both times we stayed here - although on our second stay the room was a little dated compared to our first stay. This hotel has lovely grounds you can walk along outside and great facilities such as the Spa and pool which we used. There is a great outdoor jacuzzi which also has lovely views from. We had both dinner and breakfast the second time we stayed here. Dinner was great and very filling, and the breakfast was a buffet style with plenty of options! The staff were also very helpful and friendly - with a warm welcome upon arrival. Some areas of this hotel do need an upgrade, however. Even just a change in carpet in the lobby and hallways would make the world of a difference. I would highly recommend staying here for a weekend away to explore this part of Clare

Yelp
We loved our stay here. The rooms are nice and clean. Feels very welcoming and relaxing. Great views from the room. Restaurant by the reception desk had amazing food, zero complaints about dinner. About 15 minutes from the cliffs. Wish we could stay another night!

Yelp
BEAUTIFUL hotel in a beautiful part of Ireland. The prices are reasonable and the staff is extremely friendly. The only negative is that it's impossible to get late night food service- but I think as an American I might be in the minority in caring about that. The "apartment" suites are nicer than most regular apartments I've been in and include 2 floors, full kitchen, huge balcony, grill, multiple bathrooms and 2 beds in each room. I highly recommend staying here!

Yelp
This place was amazing. The rooms were so clean and so quiet. I stayed here as part of a tour group that went around Ireland and Northern Ireland. I would stay here if I ever get to this part of Ireland again and will be sure to recommend this hotel to anyone I know that is traveling to this part of Ireland.
