Family Affair B&B Palermo

This is a beautiful property. We loved everyone who worked there: they made the stay special. Breakfast changed a bit from day-to-day, with lovely fruit and pastries. We were able to explore everywhere we wanted to visit within Palermo by a relatively easy walk. My wife is very particular about bathrooms and she was more than happy.

My husband and I stayed at Family Affair for our honeymoon and were there for almost a week. It was absolutely amazing!!! Everyday when we left we returned to a clean room. The staff is beyond friendly and willing to help you with anything. When we first arrived we had been traveling for two days and they did everything in their power to get us in early. We were also there over my husband’s birthday and they were so kind to get him a cake and candle during breakfast service. If we are ever back in Palermo we will absolutely stay here again!

Lovely place overall, great stay! Very personal service and a stunning property. Was given a lovely snack set as we were leaving eat and missed breakfast - very thoughtful! Rooms are beautiful, super clean, very well-maintained and spacious. Only thing I would prefer is a darker room at night, which due to the layout and design of the room was difficult to achieve how I like it. Room safe is a little bit complicated to use as no directions on the unit lol, but staff were quick to assist. Staff are superb (especially Front Desk staff), helpful and so polite from beginning to end. Hotel provides lots of advice and recommendations on where to visit, eat, etc. Breakfast is nice, good choice and managed well in terms of space limitations. Got a lovely leaving gift also which was very thoughtful 💕 Location is excellent - a shortish walk from the main areas, great base to explore and come back to a quieter area. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay! The accommodation was clean, cozy, and well-located. The staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome throughout our time there. Overall, the service and environment definitely deserve a solid four stars. However, I’m taking off one star—not for the accommodation itself, but for the restaurant recommendation we received. The first restaurant Rimessa Dragotto suggested to us turned out to be the worst meal we had during our entire trip to Italy. It was disappointing and really didn’t reflect the amazing food culture Italy is known for. I would strongly suggest removing that restaurant from the recommendation list, as it doesn’t do justice to the otherwise great experience we had staying here.

My husband and I spent three nights at this amazing B&B and would recommend it highly to anyone looking for a high standard of hospitality, comfort, and cleanliness. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the staff make you feel welcomed from the very first moment you arrive. The breakfast offers the very freshest fruit, assorted pastries, cheeses, etc., in a cozy dining area. We would especially like to thank Emanuela for her help and recommendations, as well as Rosaria for taking excellent care of us, always with a smile.

We stayed at Family Affair for four days in September 2024. Our room was spotless, spacious, comfortable and stunning. Breakfasts in the dining room were really high quality, with a wide choice of pastries, cheeses, meats and vegetables. The staff were very helpful and efficient. The hotel is perfectly located - the neighbourhood felt safe at all hours, one of the main streets of Palermo is a block away and the Centro Storico is maybe a 20 minute walk down that main street, and the bus to Mondello beach is a 10 minute stroll away. Palermo is such a vibrant city with so much to offer, and Family Affair is the perfect accommodation from which to enjoy it. Very highly recommended!

The rooms are gorgeous, the breakfast is delicious, and the service is SUPERB. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and the service was so attentive and friendly. Specifically Emanuela at the front desk was so helpful for any and all questions and requests we had. She provided great dinner recommendations and helped us understand the bus and train system. She made our stay so comfortable! And the location was an easy walk away from any and all restaurants, markets, and sites we wanted to see. I can't imagine staying anywhere else during our stay in Palermo. I would absolutely stay here again!
