Family Affair B&B Palermo

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent experience – highly recommended An outstanding hotel with a strong focus on personal service and aesthetics. Even before my arrival, I was warmly welcomed by a very kind receptionist who waited for me beyond her working hours due to my late arrival — a rare and truly appreciated gesture. Breakfast was excellent: small but carefully prepared sweet delicacies, with something different offered every day. The staff were consistently friendly, smiling, and professional. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was impeccable, and the overall design and atmosphere were tasteful and very pleasant. I stayed few nights in a suite, which was beautifully appointed, featuring a balcony and a small anteroom — perfect for a comfortable and relaxed stay. The standard rooms are slightly smaller but still perfectly adequate for a restful and pleasant night. A very helpful detail: after check-out, you can safely leave your luggage at the hotel. If you have a late flight, this allows you to enjoy an extra day in Palermo completely worry-free. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Palermo, and definitely my choice for every future stay.

Good rooms and nice decor. Good buffet breakfast. Walking distance to old town about 15mins. Note it is on the 2nd floor of the building and signage is poor with the doorbell not always attended. Good street parking.

of my 4 stays in sicily this property seemed the most put together. Even in Palermo (which I found to be a dump) this was a nice property. Very well designed etc. I only dock it one point because the beds were very hard (and the heater was a little hard to work) The staff was super friendly. I ended up leaving a night early just because I couldn't stand Palermo, but that wasn't their fault. Just note it looks a little dodgy from the outside, but once you get into the actual property it's much nicer. I also feel their room description was pretty accurate. (most other people I found lied about their listings.

We spent 2 nights here and it was wonderful. The staff are all so nice, the breakfast was amazing and the location is fantastic. There is a parking garage across the street that has an affiliation with the bnb. One block away is Via della Liberta which turns in the a major pedestrian road leading to all the sites. Great neighborhood and very clean and confortable accommodations.

No hot water! We stayed at Family Affair B&B with no hot water for three out of four days! We informed the reception every day - morning and afternoon. We had to go back to the hotel before the reception closed and we repeatedly encouraged them to call a plumber instead of trying to fix the problem themselves. Other guests complained too.

This is a beautiful property. We loved everyone who worked there: they made the stay special. Breakfast changed a bit from day-to-day, with lovely fruit and pastries. We were able to explore everywhere we wanted to visit within Palermo by a relatively easy walk. My wife is very particular about bathrooms and she was more than happy.

We had a great experience. The staff were extremely accomodating. They catered for food allergies perfectly. They helped us get a large load of laundry done at a reasonable price. The room was great .

Lovely place overall, great stay! Very personal service and a stunning property. Was given a lovely snack set as we were leaving eat and missed breakfast - very thoughtful! Rooms are beautiful, super clean, very well-maintained and spacious. Only thing I would prefer is a darker room at night, which due to the layout and design of the room was difficult to achieve how I like it. Room safe is a little bit complicated to use as no directions on the unit lol, but staff were quick to assist. Staff are superb (especially Front Desk staff), helpful and so polite from beginning to end. Hotel provides lots of advice and recommendations on where to visit, eat, etc. Breakfast is nice, good choice and managed well in terms of space limitations. Got a lovely leaving gift also which was very thoughtful 💕 Location is excellent - a shortish walk from the main areas, great base to explore and come back to a quieter area. Highly recommended!
