Family in New York Sightseeing Tours

Monday 01/03/22 we had a tour scheduled with Family in New York Tours. Billy was our tour guide and he was awesome. This is totally a legit company and the best tour company in NYC.If you’re anything like me you read reviews on EVERYTHING literally; and I’m telling you look no further. Billy is so informative and down to earth. We went everywhere on the list of places and he even took me places not listed. If you’re a die hard John Wick fan like me you know going to the Continental was unexplainable (hella bomb). Scott was fantastic! Such a stress-free way to tour New York in a day. We had a range of ages from 20-72 and it worked for all of us. We appreciated the history and the background and he swung by several stops we hadn't included in the plan and adapted it on the fly. It was a fabulous personalized way to see the city. Highly recommended.

We had another incredible experience with Family in New York this past week. Scott was fantastic to work with and Tammi was an INCREDIBLE host and guide. We did a full day walking tour of NYC and Tammi was absolutely perfect. Knowledgeable, funny, professional. Just a great experience. Can’t recommend this company enough!

We took a 6 hour car tour of NYC with Scott last Saturday and had a wonderful day out seeing everything we wanted to see and more!! Scott is so knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. He was flexible to meet our needs for breaks or how long we wanted to stop and take photos. Excellent way to see NYC and great value too!

Scott, our tour guide, met my wife, our three teenage kids, and me at the apartment we had rented in the East Village. First, he took us to a great little restaurant for breakfast that featured excellent authentic NY food. Then, it was off for a lesson on riding the subway. We rode up to Central Park and began our walking tour of Manhattan culminating in a viewing of the Statue of Liberty. In between, we saw virtually every major site and attraction that you could possibly hope to see in Manhattan and more. He ended the night by directing us to a fantastic sushi restaurant. The next morning, he picked us up bright and early for our tour of Washington DC. Again, we were able to see everything we could ever hope to see in DC as well as things we didn't even know existed. On both tours, Scott was incredibly informative, good-humored, efficient, and patient. He let us tailor the tours and was happy to allow us to stop and take numerous pictures of whatever we wanted. We have friends in Manhattan and they were blown away by how much we were able to do and see in one day. I honestly can't say enough about Scott. Ever since we arrived back home, we've been telling our friends and family and they have to take the Family in New York tour(s). We've been on tours all over both inside and outside the US and the Family in New York tours have been far and away the best. I can't recommend them enough!

(Number one my family and I are from California, So I want to get the stereo typical junk out of the way. The people of New York are wonderful they do not have the bad attitude that is put off in movies and T.V. shows. Once you got going and understood who was from New York and who was not you could see for your self that these people are great.) First off this is my first time with "Family in New York Tours" . However the best thing you can do is hook up with Family in New York Tours for your spin of one of the craziest fun places you could visit New York, New York. We had an amazing guide named Ami-El (I hope I spelled this correct) who was born and raised in the state of New York he is knowledgeable and unique in so many ways. He was a wonderful teacher besides also being a wonderful guide. It was an absolute pleasure to adventure through New York with him. Scott (who I think is the owner of the tours, Please correct me if I am wrong) stayed in touch with us the whole time before our visit and made sure we met up with his guide with no problems. I will admit, it was a bit odd in some ways only because I had never really used a personal tour guide before. Let me just say this "I will never do it any other way now". New York is an awesome place but if you have never been there and you do not know the in's and out's of it then you will be wasting a lot of time. We had one day to see New York in Nine hours and guess what? I do not think there was anything in New York we did not see. We met Ami-El at nine in the morning at the train station cause we were coming in from Pennsylvania through New Jersey. From that point it was Sub Ways, stairs, Turn Styles, one way streets, Loads of people, restaurants, our feet hit the pavement we were going to become New Yorkers this day and trust me after this day was over I felt like I had been living in New York all my life. These guys should get a meddle from the mayor of New York after touring with them you absolutely fall in love with New York. I have a load of pictures from our visit but it takes way to long to down load them all. (8/5/14 I wanted to add as well if you have kids traveling with you I would advise that they are capable of walking I would say eight years and older if you really want to enjoy. If not maybe a backpack carrier for the children who are 2 - 4 maybe not really advisable but I know some people are more go getters than I am. Or I just thought of this a single umbrella stroller which is somewhat much lighter than a regular stroller. The only reason I say this is because you will be going up and down stairs and through gates and through turnstiles crowded sub ways and busy crazy non stop walking although there were some moments when our guide because of how awesome he was would give us a break and take us to parts he knew would not be to hectic.)

Our family of 5 took the 6 hour car tour of NYC with Scott from 'Family in New York Tours" last Saturday and had a wonderful day out. He picked us up at our hotel at a time that worked for us and was very flexible, ensuring we saw everything important to us. Scott is very knowledgeable and allowed us to choose how much time we spent to take photos, etc. Scott had some great recommendations for lunch options - which we really enjoyed. This was excellent 5 * value and a great way to learn everything we needed to know and more!! If you want to see NYC without having to walk miles and miles - this is the tour for you!

We had a great tour! Our family went to New York in 10/2013. We had a private mini-van tour with Scott. I think it was a 6 hour tour. There were 5 adults and 1 toddler (they provided a car seat). We spent 4 nights in a hotel on Times Square and saw a lot of the traditional sites before taking this tour, but Scott showed us places we wouldn't have found on our own. He was very accommodating, friendly, and has a good knowledge of the area. We saw so much in a relatively short period of time. We didn't have a preplanned itinerary. We told him what we had already seen and he took it from there. I liked that because I'd never been to New York before and didn't know what to see, but he did. It was great and very personalized. At the end he dropped us off at the airport. It was one of the highlights of our trip. 5 Stars!

I took the family to NYC for the weekend and we had a lot of things we wanted to see in a short amount time. I talked with Scott on the phone for about 20 minutes explaining what we wanted to see and asking questions about how they operate. Scott was very friendly and helpful so I decided to go with his company. Dina was assigned to us and she was a great host to NYC. Dina made our trip very efficient and was saw everything we wanted to see in a 9 hour tour. If you want to see the city and avoid the "what do we do next" or the "where do we go from here" then book with Scott you won't regret it

Answered my questions via email and helped set up a tour for my family when we were visiting. Very accommodating to my family member who has trouble walking. All of my family said the driver/guide was kind and knowledgeable. They had a great time. I appreciated it very much.

Amazing tour of NYC! My husband and I took our 4 children to NYC during April of 2010. We were hesitant with the kids to explore too much but our fabulous guide showed us how to get around and got us from one place to the next with such ease and expertise that we were simply amazed with what we were able to accomplish in one day... and more importantly how much we learned about this wonderful city's history... We were very disappointed in our tour.our guide was nice but not at all interested in children which was the whole point .she told us that she hated her job?she took a smoke break.she was unaware of the government shut down.we learned a great deal about her life but little a lout new york
