The WORST urgent care visit I have ever experienced!!! There was only 1 nurse working, and the physician was only doing virtual meetings. If we had known that before they took our copay, we probably would have gone elsewhere, but that was fine. We were flexible and did the virtual option no problem because we were desperate for answers. Our visit was due to chest tightness/discomfort (we were assured it wasn’t emergent, no need to go to emergency room) but we required an EKG to be done. After paying the copay and giving blood, they told us the EKG machine was not working and had not been for days. (If you have a patient complaining of chest pain, why would you accept them if your EKG is not working?) We were sent to their other location 30 minutes away to use their machine. As we were pulling up to the second location, the same nurse called to say the second location’s machine was down as well. She said she was sending the order for an EKG to our email to take to another facility. An hour later, and the order still wasn’t sent. So here we are at a completely different urgent care provider paying a second copay because Family Urgent Care was not transparent with us at check in and took our money. The nurse and practitioner we spoke with virtually were both incredibly unhelpful and seemed to have gotten their credentials from WebMD University. Absolutely ridiculous, and we would have saved ourselves a lot of stress, time, and money if we had not even considered this establishment.
