Good restaurant. Nice introduction to the nikkei kitchen. The food was mostly great. I appreciated the non-sushi dishes the most, to be honest. But everything was tasty. Don’t expect the omakase experience to be whre the japanese chef prepares the dishes in front of your nose and gives it to you directly; its not exactly like that. The dishes are prepared before you - yes, but are given to you by the server. This works great because the servers are very nice. The only minus I had was the interior of the restaurant, it somehow didn’t quite amaze me. Price/quality wise 5/5 rating. Would absolutely recommend if you’re visiting Lima.

This restaurant—and Limeño cuisine in general—absolutely blew me away when I first visited Peru two years ago. Found it thanks to Peruvian friends then & made a beeline back to this almost incapacitatingly delicious nikkei spot when I returned. Never ate better sushi than this anywhere & I’ve eaten a whole lot of sushi across 108 countries including Japan! Every bite is a creamy, juicy, citrusy festival in one’s mouth. Great service & good value. Do yourself a favour & eat here!

Couldn’t recommend enough. We sat at the kitchen table and were served by the chef, but the atmosphere in the whole restaurant was equally warm. Slow to start (we had a booking at 7pm but it still hadn’t opened when we arrived, so had to wait for 5-10mins to be seated). But once we got started the service was great and was not too rushed or slow. We had the omakase set degust menu (reasonable at PEN 190). Beautiful (delicious) food and great cocktails!

The place is amazing for nigiris! I highly recommend the chef’s tasting menu! Let them surprise you!

Honestly.. The sushi sucks. Probably the worst I've ever had. So bad I question if the tuna was not artificial. How is this rated so high, with such high prices? Tasteless tuna with no fat. Tasteless salmon. They also skimp on the wasabi as if it isn't just packet stuff, giving me a pea sized piece for a dozen pieces of nigiri. Rice was not even well done, slightly undercooked. Honestly.. What a disappointment. Don't bother. My partner had dumplings, 'average' was the best she could give. 👎

The food was great. The ingredients were very fresh and were of impressive quality. We were lucky with this regard: none of the nigiris was made with salmon, but rather with local fish like tuna and robalo. But, unfortunately, the compliments end there. The service felt a bit strange to us, sometimes amateur and and did not demonstrate the level of confidence we expected from the restaurant. Our experience had nothing of the ‘omakase feeling’.: we chose to sit at the Itamae bar, but we couldn’t see the chef preparing the dishes. In fact, the chef never really talked to us (and it’s called omakase 🙃). Each of the 11 courses was so small and had so little food that we felt just tired of waiting (and some waits are good, but not in that way ‘cause our expectations kept going down with the small dishes for the price we paid). Certainly I’d prefer the traditional menu because we noticed that there was no difference at all.

This is a solid choice for fusion Japanese cuisine. I had the omakase, which, at 190 PEN (about $50 USD), is an absolute bargain — though the quality of the fish was anything but cheap. The meal included two plates of traditional sashimi and a variety of nigiri enhanced with modern sauces and fusion techniques. Every piece was flavorful and well-executed. However, I won’t be returning — not because of the food, but because of the atmosphere, which was chaotic and poorly managed. For starters, omakase dinner reservations are only accepted at exactly 7:15 p.m., when the restaurant is just opening. When I arrived at that time, the staff and chefs were still prepping — wiping down tables and cleaning the kitchen. The strong smell of bleach and cleaning products lingered for the first 20 minutes, which was off-putting. Then I waited another 15 minutes before receiving the first dish. Secondly, the bar seating lacked any sense of intimacy or structure. Nearly all diners were in large groups, including a family of five who showed up without a reservation and were seated right next to me at the counter. In a true omakase setting — where the chef serves you directly and explains each dish — counter seating should be reserved for parties of one or two to preserve the personal, immersive experience. To make matters worse, the family next to me displayed no dining etiquette, destroying their chopsticks and watching TikTok videos on speakerphone. As the evening progressed, more large groups arrived, and the staff scrambled to rearrange tables to accommodate them. The whole setting felt more like a noisy canteen than a curated omakase experience. While this might reflect a broader cultural norm in parts of South America, where large groups and relaxed dining customs are common, it ultimately detracted from what could have been a truly memorable meal. Also worth noting: two of the dishes included pork and chicken, which caught me off guard. If you have dietary restrictions, be sure to say something in advance.

Really good, all dishes on spot. Take as many starters as u can instead of big main dishes - way more special and interesting. (The fried nuggets too oily, skip those 😉) Vibe is good, service is good. Really enjoyed
