Fanning 66 Outpost Llc

We've tried to stop here several times on various trips and it was always closed. But it was open this time, and worth the visit. I loved the cozy interior and variety of products. They especially have a good selection of glass bottle sodas, some of which I'd never had before, which is getting increasingly harder for me. They have 2 adorable kitties that roam the store, too. I love store pets. I feel they really elevate the experience. The cashier was great to deal with. Overall, there's a lot more to this place than the giant rocking chair. I wouldn't necessarily label this as a full blown attraction, but I definitely suggest coming in.

Not being a huge popcorn fan, I have to admit the ghost pepper/carmel flavor was terrific and I would definitely have it again. There were several other fun flavors combinations too and hopefully can try them in the future. This is a great country outpost store with essentials, touristy, and route 66 memorabilia for sale and good prices. Along the old route its fun to stop here and also see the world's biggest second biggest rocking chair. Apparently there is another bigger one but that's for another road trip adventure. The owners, a family, are very nice, friendly and welcoming so be sure to visit for a soda and popcorn.

Cute store with a huge variety of bottled sodas. Employees are friendly. Bought some candy without checking the date, took a bite into it and it felt hard. Looked at the date, and it's pretty expired. Check before you buy!

I was not expecting the chair to be as big as it was. It was definitely huge! I love these type of road side attractions and this one made my day. Took lots of photos with the family then headed inside to check out the store. Very clean and organized. Bought a giant rocking chair magnet to remember the stop. Worth a stop. Even my tweens thought it was pretty cool.

Visited the Outpost on our drive along Route 66 in early May, 2023. A beautiful cabin setting for the outpost store. There are lots of things for folks to part ways with their money for. Somethings are really nice. Others are probably things you might never use. But that's half the fun. The ladies working there were friendly and helpful. And of course there is the giant rocking chair outside. How can you not want to stop and check out that. A great spot for shopping and pictures. And that's what a roadside attraction is all about. Stop in and check it out.

Good find along Rt 66 drive. This old general store has all kinds great finds. They are known for there big rocker outside, and many varieties of popcorn, including some great spicy ones. I am enjoying the jalapeños cheddar! They have many different kinds of unique sodas, like the Jones and many others, such as Marilin Monroe. They have souvenirs shotglasses, and Metal sign memorabilia. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This is a great small store that has a good selection of souvenirs that showcase Route 66. They have a good selection of drinks and make some fantastic tasting popcorn. They offer samples of the popcorn to try. They have the second largest rocking chair in the world out front. It was cool to see and compare the size it is compared to a Harley Davidson Motorcycle in front of it.

Stopped here to stretch my legs on the way to St Louis. Cute little spot with nice staff. They have Route 66 items, candy and a large variety of sodas.
