I stopped in for a quick brunch and was more than pleasantly surprised with everything I had to eat and drink. The Bloody Mary, Fish Sandwich w/salad and Ratatouille was well worth the $13 special entre and drink plus $5 per side. Totally go here for good food and Saturday morning booze.

There are so many great restaurants to try in NYC. Two strikes and you're out in my mind. Fanny struck out due to these two reasons 1. Brunch took over and hour and was totally unimpressive 2. Over dinner ordered a glass of wine that was not to my liking (may have been corked) the server stood there and stared at me blankly in response. It was not an expensive wine by the glass and the server could have easily rectified the situation. Instead he choose to be rude and aloof. Unfortunately Fanny proved to be a pretentious over quality, hipster joint.

Lovely host, delicious fried fish sandwich. The tartar sauce wasn't super strong. Great pricing so I will be back to try other menu items.

Fanny doesn't get the press a lot of the other Williamsburg newcomers do, but it's been churning out fine, friendly French fare for a few years now, including an excellent (and affordable) brunch.

Best in town. Food is perfect every time. Real meals. This is what the French are famous for.
