"Garden Bungalow at Fare Pea Iti Family Home Accommodation While pensions in French Polynesia are often touted as overpriced accommodations with no amenities, Fare Pea Iti proves this is not always true. In fact, this family home pension is downright luxurious, with an in-ground pool, well-manicured grounds and a mix of beach and garden bungalows featuring sumptuous amenities and whimsical touches. The beach bungalow is particularly opulent. While in the bathroom you'll find Monoi oil body products and an over-sized walk-in tiled shower, the enclosed porch features beautiful views, self-catering kitchen with barbecue and mini-bar. In the room, the bed is adorned with tropical flowers and canopied with delicate baldaquin. Moreover, the garden bungalows offer comfortable beds, televisions, Monoi oil tiki soaps, a walk-in shower, mini bar and table and chairs in the garden for scenic relaxing. Don't miss the fantastic homecooked meals in their open-air restaurant and bar. In the morning there's an artisanal breakfast of hot beverages, fresh juices, fresh tropical fruit, homemade vanilla yogurt, fluffy bread and housemade jams with large chunks of fruit. Moreover, at night guests can enjoy a 3-course candlelit dinner featuring fresh local ingredients."
My husband and I stayed three nights at Fare Pea Iti and did not want to leave! From the moment we arrived on the resort and breakfast was ready for us, we felt welcomed. Our beachfront bungalow was clean and had a beautiful view of the lagoon, and it was decorated inside with gorgeous flowers every where. We were in French Polynesia for a week, and the lunches and dinners we had here on our 3 day stay were the best we had the whole trip. My husband and I love seafood, so we requested as much seafood as we could have, and the chef delivered! We used the bikes to go exploring every day and typically passed more people walking and biking on the roads than cars. We did the island tour and Patricia was a wonderful guide in addition to the places we stopped along the way. The motu snorkeling and lunch was amazing, if we'd had time we would have done it a second time, the snorkeling was so good and it was just a relaxing experience. We took out the Hobie Cat and had fun with it, but definitely had no idea what we were doing- luckily the captain gave us some hints and helped us out! The only downside of the location was no beach access due to the coral, but that meant fish and coral right off the dock. If you want a relaxing, non-touristy feeling place to go, book now and you won't regret it!

We loved this place so much, mostly because of Poi. She was so kind to us, hilarious, accommodating, and helpful. Every one of the staff members was amazing and we felt very taken care of. The food was also seriously amazing, we loved every meal. Would highly recommend this place!!

Fabulous location, great food, lovely, friendly staff. We had the Superior Beach Bungalow which is secluded and has a hot tub. It was gorgeous. The staff arranged 2 day tours for us. One was to a private motu with the Coral Garden for great snorkelling where we spent a few hours. This included a lovely traditional lunch. A fabulous day with Captain Oliver. The other was a half-day tour of the island visiting pearl farm, vanilla farm and rum distillery and beautiful views along the way. We highly recommend Fare Pea Iti.

We stayed at Fare Pea Iti for three days after a sailing charter with our friends. It was a lush, welcome respite after being on a boat for 10 days. The Captain (we never got his name, just "The Captain" :D) picked us up in Raiatea at the Uturoa Marina and treated us to a sweet and scenic ride to Taha'a. About 15 mins. The day was beautiful and we could tell he knew his way around the waters and reefs. When we pulled up to the little dock, Poe was waiting there to greet us with lei. ||We were then escorted to a covered patio. Poe brought us fresh squeezed juice and went over the history and amenities offered at the lodge. She was also very thorough with our dietary needs/ restrictions.||Our bungalow was SWEET! It was as big as a generous, one bedroom apartment. It had a bar/kitchenette with a mini fridge and electric kettle for instant hot coffee. A walk in shower with a drying line and a closet hall. The bed was soft, spacious and comfy. Although it wasn't air conditioned, the fan and the mosquito nets at night worked out fine. We had mosquito punks with us from the boat and used those at night when we went to sleep.||We had our own private beach area with a table and lounge chairs. We had our first lunch out on the table with a view of the dock and motus. It was heavenly! The large hermit crabs that came out and dusk and dawn were really big and fun to watch. I would get up at sunrise when no one else seemed to be up and walked out to the dock. There is a good amount of reef fish right out there. I even saw an octopus, which was pretty special.||Our three days were spent relaxing, cooling off in the lovely pool, riding around on the complimentary bikes and checking out the island. Poe arranged for a rental car to come to the lodge. We filled out the paperwork there and returned it to the lodge with a full tank of gas when we were done. It is a very quiet, rural island with hardly any tourists. Seriously. The only tourists we saw were the other three couples staying at the lodge.||The food was fantastic and the staff was first rate and very kind and sweet. They definitely made the visit more memorable.

This is a special place. With only 4 bungalows and 8 guests you are family the moment you arrive. William picked us up at the airport on Raiatea, from the dock just outside the airport door. Quite the taxi! On the way to the resort we saw a whale, sharks, and dolphins. The dinners were superb. Featuring fresh fish and lobster one night. They have their own staff to do an island tour and a snorkeling adventure if you want to. We really enjoyed both tours. We had a beach bungalow with its own beach. Truly a slice of island, quiet French Polynesia, that should not be missed. Our best stay in the islands. Enjoy!

For us this was a piece of Polynesian perfection! We were picked up from Raiatea airport by one of the hotels smart motor boats and transported over a 45 minute boat ride to this idyllic little boutique hotel on the shores of the neighbouring island of Taha'a which is one of the loveliest islands in the country in our view. We had a beachside cottage which was very well appointed with our own peaceful little beach area from which you can walk out into the shallow part of the lagoon. There is also a very nice pool in which to swim. The staff were superb and again always smiling and helpful. The restaurant served up delicious food every evening. One of the excursions that is offered is a short boat trip to a sandy motu where you can snorkel in a coral garden and see all types of fish after eating a fresh, delicious lunch of poisson cru (the Polynesian national dish!) with the freshest of coconut. After a three-night stay, we were very sad to have to leave!

We were lucky to spend 3 nights at the Fare Pea Iti in late February 2022 as a last stop after resort stays in Moorea and Bora Bora. Covid has hit FP pretty hard and the guesthouse has been closed for all but 12 weeks in the last 2 years. Pascal and Maryline are the owners and they make sure everything is well taken care of for your stay. The experience begins when they send a private boat to pick you up at Raeatea airport (45 min ride — extra fee but well worth it). We arrived hungry and Maryline was on the boat to make sure they had what we wanted for lunch when we arrived at the guest house. Now for the stay - the facility is a bit rustic as each villa is open to nature, but very comfortable. The food is excellent, always very fresh and tasty. We took a couple of excursions which were very reasonable and enjoyable. The coral snorkel tour is for advanced swimmers as the current was quite strong. Some of the items are not available due to the Covid crisis. There was no archery or Polynesian show so check in advance if this is important to you. All in all I felt like they took us in as if we were family members. Taha’a is a very undeveloped island so if you want a more casual and authentic experience this may be for you. We loved it and would definitely recommend as an alternative to the fancy resorts.

We had a wonderful time at Fare Pea Iti. The warm hospitality, excellent food, and natural beauty made for a memorable stay. The bed was comfortable and the family managing it are lovely. We were even blessed to get a lovely drawing from Poehei, a charming young girl.
