Had a great time here. Julie (Julia?) our bartender was so sweet and helpful! She's a down to earth native who gave us a great perspective on Fargo and helped us make the most of our time in ND with her recommendations! Give this lady a raise. The beer is pretty good too 🍻

Google
I had 2 tasty beers here and the pork burnt ends hiding under that green stuff were very good. Da wood chipper was especially tasty, be sure to put your friend in one of those.

The brewery is nice with large territory, good variety of beer, friendly employees, and barmen. They give growlers and cans to go. The place is nice and the prices are fair.

Google
Fargo Brewing Company! It was a stop we had to make during our short visit in NoDak. The tasting room and outside areas were large! They had a nice selection of beer and the vibe was pretty solid! They have big name bands that play on occasion here, so that is a fun option! The beer wasn’t the best in my opinion, but definitely far from bad. Definitely recommend a visit if you’re in town, even if just for a pour or two! Nice selection of merchandise too!

Google
This place is incredible, the staff A+++ ! The facility is super clean and you can taste it in the Beer! The only thing this location is missing is food, so just bring it your self. Many styles of beer everyone I tried was very very good. They had some local pretzels there that were outstanding.

We had our wedding this past weekend, start to finish, at The Hall at Fargo Brewing Company. We got ready in The Lounge/Nice Barbershop Co before hand. The communication, adaptability and ideas from Emily Finley could not have been more amazing. I had zero, and I mean ZERO stress the day off because of Emily, Beth from Nova Eatery who did our food, and the manager from The Barbershop. I didn’t have a single vendor coming up to me to ask me anything so I could fully enjoy my day. Emily had so many ideas for the day, including a seating chart that was driving me insane for our 150 person wedding. Not only was it great but extremely affordable, and such a great perk to be able to have every step of the day there. I added some pictures to show the venue from our day, photo cred Christina Chamma.

Google
Great place! Was in town for work and came here for the 311 concert. Great location, and wonderful outdoor venue for a concert. Also, the beers were great as well!! Highly recommended if looking for a solid place to have a few beers outdoors!

Google
We had our reception at the FBC this past Saturday! It was amazing from start to finish! Emily was amazing to work with…always available whenever I had a question…very accommodating…friendly…full of positive energy…amazing all around :) I’d also like to give a shout out to our “security guard” he was so nice and the poor guy has to sit there for 6 hours 🥴 Thank you FBC and staff for an amazing night ❤️

Yelp
FOOD OUTSTANDING, SERVICE OUTSTANDING, AMBIANCE whether enjoying the outdoor experience or catching live music, etc. indoors- can't be beat!! Weird comment maybe but, great, very clean bathrooms! haha Not to mention, I always love to support a local business!

Jerome M.

Yelp
Good beer, lots of room, good environment, lots of parking and friendly bar tender. Not as busy as I expected on a Saturday night, but maybe it was just the day. Also has a place (not associated) to order food.

Kathleen B.

Yelp
I surprisingly hadn't had a beer at the brewery and only drank cans elsewhere so it was about time we hit it up. It's a spacious establishment with great murals/painting on the walls and acts as a small business conglomeration with a concert hall, barber and food stop. The beer selection was great and had something for everyone. The vibe was chill and not too loud. Grabbed a quick beer cheese snack at the foodery and enjoyed a little relax time before a busy weekend.

Eli T.

Yelp
Fun local brewery to grab a drink if you're in the area. I stopped in here with a buddy while we were in the Fargo area. Good selection of craft brews and friendly staff.

Tina G.

Yelp
Went on a weekday before 4, great timing. Staff was very informative and easy going. Couldn't believe they had a barbershop in here, that was a great feature. Had many food options as well, but I did not eat. Beer was good and a varied selection.

Yelp
The first of the new breweries to me on the Fargo side was Fargo Brewing. A namesake of the town and a HUGE location. The space on the inside is large with plenty of area to take a seat, or take your time at the high top bar. It is located just a bit North of the main strip in Fargo. When I visited there were a lot of locals at the brewery with pints in hand already. I of course had to get a flight. El Jefe: A Mexican Lager brewed with flaked Maize, Mexican Lager Yeast, and 6-row Malt. Lime Zest and sea salt were also added to give it a bit more zing. Refreshing in the heat, but still crisp and clean with a bit of the corn malt flavor.  Fresh To Death: An IPA brewed with Phantasm powder and Nelson Sauvin hops. Nelson Sauvin by itself brings out white grape, citrus, and tropical fruits like passion fruit and papaya. The Phantasm powder brings some complementary Sauvignon Blanc tropical fruit and accentuates the Nelson Sauvin. A medium bitterness and very well balanced. A great example of a thiolized IPA! Keep It Cordial: A fruit sour with a lot of fresh cherry flavors. Medium-high tartness, but not overwhelming. A lot of fruity and citrusy aromas that make you want to keep drinking it. Light and refreshing tart sour. Glacial Plains Alsatian Pilsner: A classic Pilsner brewed with Pilsner malts and Flaked Corn, hopped with Barbe Rouge and Magnum hops. At 5% it is a sessionable Pilsner that you wouldn't feel bad knocking back a few after mowing the lawn. As a Pilsner should be, its crisp and light. The hops provide both a light floral and grassy aroma.  _________________________

Yelp
Announced closing business at the end of this month. The are going out of business! 11/27/2024 Done!

Yelp
Inaugural visit Thursday. Wasn't sure it was going to happen....Fargo has a large parking lot but @ 5:30 Thursday it was already full!! Circled around & got a spot. Two beertenders assisted in my flight building as I always ask "for what's on tap, what's your go-to?" The gal said both of the sours. Golden Hour and Odd Fella. The fellow said the newly tapped Proper Pint; that's where I started...an easy, light beer. I rounded off the flight w a Nutty Nana... who ended up being the favorite! I liked the open tap room and how there are just a few sheets of plywood hanging w big black words written on them. Simple decoating. There was a gig outside on the patio, that I didn't get any pics of, sorry. The vibe was fun and comfortable. At a bar earlier in the day I told the bartender: I may not make it to all four breweries today so if I can only go to two, which? Fargo was one of her recommendations purely for "ambiance". She was not wrong, it was fun and the people were cool! Thanks Fargo Brewing!

Jon B.

Yelp
Just had the beer, good flavor and selection. Bartender was very knowledgeable. Was able to take some with us.

Miranda S.

Yelp
The service was great. I sat at the bar so they could tell when I was getting close to the end of my beer if I wanted/needed another. They were very friendly as well. The atmosphere was super cool and I loved that I could see into the area where they make the beers

Tweetie T.

Yelp
It's a cool place to hang with some beers. Pets are allowed! This is the only restroom that has feminine products as well as lotion for hydration!!! Kudos for being thoughtful

Daniel L.

Yelp
If you want to have a great beer selection, come check this brewery out. Even working around Covid restrictions, it's a great place to get out and try a new beer. Quick, friendly service and the beer taste great.

Maria F.

Yelp
Cute brewing space with a good assortment of classic beer styles. O'Fest (an Octoberfest) was pretty good, but we really loved the Highway Strobbery (described as a sour, but on the sweeter side with a nice touch of fizz). The bartender was super friendly, too

Teresa M.

Yelp
We came in on a nice September day and sat outside. There is a good selection on tap, including seasonals. There were several reviews about limited food selection, which is to be expected as a brewing establishment serving food vs a restaurant serving brews. Bonus, there's a good truck in the parking lot, tacos. We were promptly greeted by man's best friend, and found the company enjoyable. The patrons were am eclectic bunch - from bikers to hipsters. We had a couple of drinks and moved on to the next review. Red River Rye 4 / 7th Anniversary 4.5 / Location 4 / Staff / Staff 4.5 - solid 4

Kate H.

Yelp
Though this taproom doesn't have the walking convenience of the ones right in downtown, it's worth the trip. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and I've liked every beer I've tried on tap here. The space is casual and cool, but somewhat limited seating of just a handful of picnic benches when it's too cold to be outside. They host fun and random events here too, like corgi meetups and Zumba classes. Sometimes a food truck or two park outside, too. Just a good spot overall!

Eric B.

Yelp
Loved the Woodchipper Beer during my recent visit to Fargo. It's a classic American IPA #HowFarCanWeFargo?

John M.

Yelp
These guys started the recent local brewery movement and they are doing well. You will see they are the real deal when you get in the brewery and see the large tanks and canning line. At the tap room, you have the option of a pint or a growler of their variety of taps or by the can. For a regular FBC drinker in regional establishments, you will find those favorites at the tap room. While I am there, I like to try the other varieties that you will not find in a can or at a restaurant/bar. If you like a little darker beer but not super heavy like some darks, you may want to try the Sodbuster. Or for a lighter beer, go for the Wind Swept. The tap room itself has a very casual vibe. An overhead door that creates a make-shift patio on warmer days. A good number of picnic tables that allow for some communal seating. There are also a couple couches and some high top tables. Lastly, they have a great selection of merchandise and at decent prices too.

Paul D.

Yelp
Stopped in for a beer while in town. Both my significant other and myself had 1 and they were good. She had a seltzer and I had the dark pastry stout, both good. Added another brewery to my ever growing list.

Ryan R.

Yelp
Fargo the movie themed craft beers, what's not to love?! But for reals, the always on beers here are delish. What's even more awesome are the seasonal and experimentals they brew up here. For example, this time I was here I had a fantastic blood orange adaptation of Wood Chipper. So the next time you're in Fargo looking for a brewski, stop by the Fargo brewing company, oh ya betcha yeahhhh!

Travis L.

Yelp
We stopped by and were turned away for a private concert. We were trying to do a micro brew torn and we were surprised that even though we shouted up with a group we were not allowed to enter. I was surprised that a business would just say sorry you can't come in because we are having a private concert. The girl that answered the door straight up said go to another location but we couldn't come in.

Ryan L.

Yelp
What can you say about the Fargo Brewing Company? It's the totally original brew team here in Fargo! Starting out small and actually brewing the batches out of town before they had enough space, these guys have built up a selection and fan base that's tough to match. Though they aren't my favorite local brewers in the F/M area, they do have a very nice selection of beers. You can find Fargo Brewing Company's beers in just about any store or restaurant/bar in the area, but you'll want to actually go to the tasting room located on the corner of University and 7th Street South to get the best experience. Getting it from the tap at the brew house is great. Plus, they always have more beers to pick from than what they have available in stores (they only can 5 of their beers) and it's fun to get their smaller seasonal batches from the tap when you visit them. The staff is great too. They do a wonderful job at describing the tastes of their beers and allowing you a taste of one if you're not sure about it.

Kate K.

Yelp
Man small Fargo brewing companies really love setting up shop in garages. I like the vibe tho, its cool, unique. Kinda chilly but still cool. Some of these beers were getting better on the taste scale and weren't so brutally hoppy and bitter. Some of the lighter beers here had really nice flavor and hints to them. Even the occasional dark I found to be okay which is rare for me. Super relaxed place, cheap tasting flight which I recommend if you have no clue what you want, menus to order from but are for separate businesses they have deliver directly. You have to go around the building tho bc the way we came, one side of the street looked totally dark and closed.

Gia R.

Yelp
The original local brewery, Fargo Brewing Company has been rocking the local scene with delicious brews since 2009. The taproom is usually bustling with activity and they host a lot of neat events. A few of my personal favorites include yoga on tap, drunken spelling bees and Trivia Mafia. Lately, they've been hosting more live music, which works well in the spacious taproom and in the area outside. (Another plus: you never having to worry about parking here!) Pro tip: as a regular at all the FM breweries and a lover of all things hoppy, the original Woodchipper will always be at the top of my to-go list. Cheers!

Ryan A.

Yelp
Fargo has a few great craft beer options and they all offer something different. The things I really enjoy about Fargo Brewing Company is that they offer a good selection of basic craft beers and they have great flights. I've always been a fan of one of their staple beers, Stone's Throw. I am also a fan of their Sodbuster beer. Like most craft breweries, it really depends on your taste. The "tap-room" is my least favorite part, and seemed like an afterthought in the whole process. Of all the breweries I've been to this is the most simple of tap rooms. It gets the job done though and the beer definitely more than makes up for any short comings of design.

Jordan L.

Yelp
I typically make it into Fargo Brewing Company's tap room once a week to meet with a running club sponsored by the brewery and a local running store. Their taproom isn't as comfy and welcoming as some, but embraces the industrial feel that comes with being a growing distribution brewery. Yet, FBC certainly makes up for any rough edges by offering a handful of year-round brews in addition to five or six seasonal or experimental rotationals, all of which are top notch. Feel free to bring food, or check ahead to see if a local food truck will be out front, as they don't offer food in-house. They do, however, consistently offer a great space to meet with groups- our run club numbers have reached 40+. If you're lucky, you'll be visiting during Fargo's nicer months and they'll have the garage door open! Skal!

Abbie F.

Yelp
It has been a while since I've been to Fargo Brewing Company. I usually hit them up every other time I'm in town and take s growler or two back to the cities. What I love s out this place is the following 1) the location! Super easy to walk to and convenient. 2) the space. The long tables with s couple of high tops works well for just one friend and I or a huge group of us 3) the people who work there. Super knowledgable and friendly. I appreciate their willingness to tell me specifics about the different beers and try a few before deciding on which one I'm going to take home for my other friends to share and enjoy too. 4) Growlers galore! The majority of their beers come in growlers which is great for me because I'm usually there to take them home.

Troy D.

Yelp
Always a wonderful place to go for a beer! It's casual, it's fun, and a great place to have a drink!

Amanda B.

Yelp
This is a great place to go and just hang out with friends in a casual environment. The beer is great, I especially love the Sodbuster their porter, even on a hot sunny day its what I crave. If you like something lighter their Stone's Throw and Iron Horse are always a great bet. Another great note, you can order food and have it delivered there or bring in your own food. Jimmy johns is close and quick! Only complaint is the lack of AC, it gets really warm in the summer and they supply industrial size fans to help cool the place off but with this comes a lot of noise making it hard to talk over.

Jack L.

Yelp
I loved this place. After a long drive from Stillwater MN to Fargo, I was ready to enjoy the sunny weather and cold beer. I walked in to the open air brewery and ordered an IPA. Suddenly, the guy working the food truck arrived and offered me and the staff some samples of his latest creation: some jalepeno cheddar cheese poppers with a poblano sour cream dipping sauce. Absolutely fantastic! Went perfectly well with the IPA. There was a picnic table outside so I sat there and soaked up the sun. Great group of guys and some pretty stellar beers as well. My favorite stop in all of my MN SD ND stops.

Dev P.

Yelp
The fargo brewing company has never disappointed in quality or taste of their product. With good prices I would highly recommend that everyone checks them out!

Sherri S.

Yelp
Take the tour. Great brewery and very knowledgeable. Great beer at good prices!! We will be back. If you are in fargo stop by and enjoy this gem

Jeanine L.

Yelp
Love this local brewery! There are so many homemade brews to choose from every week. It's amazing the new types they come out with, and the fun names they come up with!! #Fargo

Angie M.

Yelp
I finally made it over to The Fargo Brewing Company Tap Room! If you are a beer fan, it is a Fargo must do! I had a pint of Snozbeer, which is a dark brew infused with raspberries. Real raspberries, so the flavor is there, but not overbearing. It was delicious! I definitely suggest this to anyone. The tap room is open Tuesday-Saturday and is very quaint. A few picnic tables off of the brewery, which is cool. You can see the entire brewery, the packaging lines, the fermentation equipment and more. The Fargo Brewing Company is new to it's location, but word is there are a lot of plans down the road! I would stop in for a sample or two to find your favorite brew and grab a pint or take home a growler soon!

Thomas R.

Yelp
It's a very casual brewery they have there beers but nothing really outside the box. However the beers they do brew are great! I tried the Woodchipper IPA, it was a good mellow IPA not to bitter but not too sweet. The peanut butter porter was awesome so good that I went and bought a six pack right after seems like they always have local deals at liquor store for 6 and 12 packs so I will be trying the rest!

Alisha L.

Yelp
A little different than I was expecting from other breweries I've been to. Enjoy the beer & kinda wish they had a restaurant. Like the games & chill environment though. I'll probably make it back to see some things like trivia or other things they promote.

Andrea W.

Yelp
LOVE their Sodbuster Porter. I get it when I stop in at the brewery AND when I'm out at restaurants in town.

Maggie D.

Yelp
Cool building and relaxed atmosphere with good beer. I like all the drawings on the tables. I just wish I lived closer to it because the trivia on Wednesdays is really fun.

Cara L.

Yelp
The service was great and the beer was equally great! I had the woodchopper and loved so much i got a 6er!

Samantha J.

Yelp
So glad this place is here! What a fun way to spend a weekend afternoon. Free tour is cool to check out. Information was a little more technical than other brew tours I've been to, but you can tell they really love brewing beer :) Tour ends with a free pint of your choice. They ask for a $1 donation & give it to the local food bank. The 'tap room' is better described as a portion of their warehouse with picnic tables, but still a fun atmosphere. I really like that they have a rack of board games you can play with, something different & unique to do. No food served, but they have menus with delivery service available. They do small batch tastings, I think on Tuesdays or Thursdays, but I hear they usually are out by the end of that day. The only negative is the location...its not really by anything interesting/fun/cool to check out, but you pretty much have to drive everywhere around here anyway, so no biggie.

Debbie B.

Yelp
All of the beers were very good to excellent and Jeff was an endless source of knowledge. Fantastic experience. If there were 10 stars they would get every single one of them

Heather B.

Yelp
This brewery has such a great set up. It's very large, leaving tons of room for people to come and enjoy their yummy brews. Another convenient perk to this place are the food trucks that park it in their lot, so you can munch while you drink. Yum!

Gabe R.

Yelp
Great beer! They are always trying some new brew in the tap room, or get an old stand by! You can never go wrong with a stones throw!

Anna J.

Yelp
Loved the flavor of all the beer! The wood chipper is a favorite of most of the men in the family. It's great to see all the new flavors the guys are coming up with. Jared was very helpful and super sweet.

Brett D.

Yelp
Great laid back atmosphere and very knowledgeable staff. Always willing to help assist you in picking a brew. Plenty of games to play and food to order on site.

Chris M.

Yelp
Woodchipper was awesome. Fun to hang around tap room and play the games provided. Had a lot of fun drinking beer and playing Cards Against Humanity. Beers should be priced lower to encourage sampling and grow crowd.

Erik B.

Yelp
With a solid slate of regular offerings, my favorite being the Sodbuster, and a rotating slate of seasonals and specialty beers (always happy to see the Saison on the board), Fargo's largest local brewery represents the city well. The tap room itself, set amid the production brewery, does tend to be rather noisy, but they give a great tour.

Jerel W.

Yelp
The Fargo Brewing Co is crafting superior beer on several levels. Ironhorse is my beer of choice, but all beers there are crafted with great flavor. Even a Bud Light drinker can find a beer he likes. A quality brewery for Fargo. Taproom is bare bones, with remodeling hopefully in the future. Love this place and the whole crew are great to visit with.
