Fariyas Hotel Mumbai

This hotel enjoys a great location, which is definitely its biggest advantage — I’d recommend it mainly for that reason. The basic rooms are on the smaller side, and the TV setup feels quite minimal for a 5-star property, so entertainment options are limited. Service is good overall, though a bit slow at times, likely because the housekeeping team seems slightly understaffed — room cleaning can take a while. Breakfast is fairly simple but adequate, and I appreciated that the menu changed each day during my two-night stay. You can also order additional items directly from the staff, who are friendly and accommodating. Overall, it’s a decent hotel for the price, but set your expectations accordingly — the standout feature is definitely the location.

I had a great stay at Fariyas Hotel. I have stayed here about 5 times and this was by far the best. The rooms have been refurbished and it was very comfortable. The staff were all top notch and the service was as good as any of the most expensive hotels I have stayed at around the world. Definitely on par with the Taj and Oberoi. Ii checked out and walked away with a smile. I will book this again and again as it is Great Value for Money! The photo was taken from my room at 7:00am today!

Stayed here for 3 days and really enjoyed it. The staff were polite and very attentive. The restaurant was simply amazing! We have had Indian food in Australia but the buffet here was next level. The flavours were incredibly clear and aromatic and the choices had us going back for more. On our first night in the restaurant we were looked after by a very nice staff member called Shanak who explained all the dishes and recommended appetisers. He also looked after us around the pool during the afternoon and was an interesting conversationalist! We cannot fault any of the staff, all we just so nice. The hotel rooms were very comfortable and the location is perfect for sightseeing. The famous Taj hotel and ferry to elephanta Island is within walking distance, and the Arabian sea is 2 minutes away. Highly recommend this hotel.

I spent 5 nights here and the hotel organised a taxi for me as my flight was due to land at 00.15 in the morning, it was subsequently delayed by 2 hours and i was able to contact them via watsapp to keep them posted.|All staff were helpful when needed. My room looked out over the harbour with a full floor to ceiling window, I did book the premium sea view so I reccomend this if its possible for you. I found the heat in mumbai quite hard going and its not really a place where you can just sit quietly and observe things so I spent more time in my room than I would usually, and went out in the mornings and eves but relaxed in my room during the hottest period. So I was glad i had a nice room to do that in.|The pool looked nice but was always in full sun.|If I returned to Mumbai I would stay here again.

Rooms hygenic and clean. Nice view from rooms. Nice waterpark. Very friendly staffs. Food was awesome. But water quality in bathroom is very very poor. Turbid, full of iron. Such a big resort should have a water treatment plant.

The hotel is in a great location and in general clean and neat. The issue was the service (in both the general hotel and in the restaurant called Tamarind). We had to ask for an Iron and Iron board 4 times before we had to go downstairs and request again (which still took ages to come). When the iron came it looked very old and not in a great shape (with the steam function not working and no water outlet stopper). The bathroom door could not be locked either (we had booked a Deluxe Sea-View room). Another time, it was 11 pm at night and we were sleeping - the bell of our room rang once. I ignored it when it rang yet another time. The third time I went to the door in frustration only to see an attendant asking if I had rung for water (I hadn't). I would understand ringing once but three times was very irritating especially when I had an upcoming early morning. We also had a separate issue at the Tamarind restaurant (Drinks issue where there was no exotic drinks - fine but even a simple mai tai was messed up three times. We had 5 people circling the bar and ignoring what we were asking about the drink. In the end I just cancelled the order. The whole experience was disappointing in terms of service and I expected more from Fariyas. The rooms were clean for the most part and the locality and general area is tough to beat but the service experiences soured it.

The staff are very accommodating from restaurant, to front desk and housekeeping. I especially liked when I returned to hotel wet from the monsoon, the doorman was kind and very helpful. The staff try very hard here. Pool also clean and fun to use with view of the port. I loved sitting near the window. Nd watching sun come up with black birds in sky.
