I went here with my mom for an early dinner—-the food came out very quickly and all the ingredients tasted fresh! However some of the flavors didn’t quite meld for me. I got the Halibut oreganata with gnocchi. The sauce base was delicious but the breadcrumbs on the fish didn’t have much flavor. My mom’s scallops were amazing but the sauce had so much garlic it sort of took over the entire dish. The view is stunning! We loved sitting outside right by the water. Also our waitress was very kind and attentive.

Google
Great service with great food and in great company. The review on the Serrano: if it had a little more steak on it it would have been perfect. Review on the Roberto: if there was some bread for dipping it would have been even better but I’d still order it twenty more times as is! Review on the Maria: I was not expecting a marinara pasta salad when I read “pasta salad” but it was tasty. The sandwich itself was really good. It was a tad dry maybe a little more sauce but it was still delicious. We have a wonderfully sweet server and had a beautiful view of the water. We hope we have the opportunity to return during warmer months to really appreciate the view. Thank you for offering such delightful options, Farm Country Kitchen.

What a great way to start our weekend at Riverhead! We all loved our dishes and drinks! Service was wonderful and we even had a private dining area upstairs! Not a lot of vegan options, but my dinner was wonderful!

No better place to go after strawberry picking! Great service, fun background music and DELICIOUS food. We got the peconic salad, Roberto's pasta and steak sandwich.

We recently visited this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Chicken Stella, which was flavorful and cooked perfectly. My fiancée had the salmon, and while it was good, it didn’t stand out as much as we hoped. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, but we found the overall attitude of the staff and management to be less welcoming. When we asked a question or greeted them on the way in and out, their responses felt indifferent, which took away from the dining experience a bit. Overall, the food was good, but the service could use improvement in terms of hospitality.

Google
Outstanding in every category. Friendly, attentive service. Lovely views of a river. Outdoor and indoor seating. I was so appreciative of the creative salads with regular foods. Diverse menu. Varied wine menu. No air conditioning. However there were many fans. Porch was screened in with a breeze. I was not hot at all. I can't wait to go back.

Google
Great experience! Don is a polite & attentive server. The atmosphere is cool, like you’re in a nature preserve. We had the pasta and chicken artichoke—the latter was too rich for me but still good. Caesar salad was great. I will definitely come again!

Google
Love this cute place on the Peconic River. Tables outside on the lawn or “inside” on the porch, that’s fully enclosed. Wonderful atmosphere. Delicious food. The truffle ricotta appetizer is blasting with flavor. The dressing in the salad is splendid, and the chicken Stella is tasty.

Yelp
Amazing every single time .. no idea how this place doesn't have 5 stars. The food is consistently well seasoned. The ambiance is relaxing in a fine dining setting. Inside or outside dining, it's always a good time.

Yelp
The food, view, service, and vibe are great. I love Farm Country Kitchen. You will too.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Long Island. Not only is their food and drinks amazing, but the views are to die for! The restaurant is nestled right on the Peconic River, with outside and inside dining options. Their lunch menu is updated daily, and dinner menu seasonly. We went for dinner and started off with cocktails. Then ordered the Goat Cheese Bruschetta and Seared Tuna as appetizers. I chose Salmon for dinner, which was pan seared over sauteed spinach with creamy risotto, and let me say, best Salmon plate I've ever had! Farm Country Kitchen advertises themselves as the essence of rural North Fork living with the freshest ingredients, and they are absolutely correct! You can taste the freshness in all of their dishes. If you're in the North Fork area, I highly recommend Farm Country Kitchen for lunch or dinner! Quick tip - when calling to make reservations, make sure to specify if you want inside or outside dining.

Yelp
From the outside you would think twice about walking in but we are so glad we stayed. Staff was friendly. John always checked up on us. Music was the right volume where it could be enjoyed and still hold a conversation. Our drinks (new fashioned and a Cozumel margarita) were big and delicious. Food was amazing!!! We ordered the Maria Panini and the Carmine. Both were great but we both agree that the Maria Panini was the best. The side salad was also good with their house vinaigrette. They make a house hot sauce and that was also delicious. We will def be returning when we are in the neighborhood. This place must be super nice in the spring/summer. Enjoy the pics.

Yelp
It's super hard to find, but once you know where it is it's worth the quest to get there! There's no parking at the actual restaurant, so if you're traveling east bound, turn on the street right before the auto place...on the left there's a parking lot. So, once you find it, and climb down the stairs if you want to eat outside...the view is STUNNING. There are picnic type tables but with actual chairs and it's akin to eating in a park with good seats. Service was...relaxed, which was fine for a Halloween in the high 70's! We were in no rush, but figured I'd mention in case you are. Food was very good. Sales, sandwiches, fun apps...I love that they had an entire specials sheet with Halloween themed choices--so fun! We all shared the fried artichoke hearts--they were fine. A bread crumb crust. I've had them before with a flour and egg batter and preferred that, but these were tasty. Also, the baked clams--YUM! Sandwiches; there were two steak sandwiches and one portion. Everyone raved. I got the "Transylvania Salad". This should always be on the menu. The shrimp were huge and cooked nicely. Salad had lots os arugula balanced by the crunch of red cabbage shreds. Homemade croutons, small balls of fresh water mozzarella...but the best part was the Basil dressing. I'll admit, I was nervous. SO many times you order an herb-based dressing and it's awful dried herbs. Not the case here--super fresh basil and grated cheese gave it an almost pesto flavor. SO delicious. My only disappointment was I asked for another dressing and our server brought something different which I didn't taste before dumping it on my salad. I think it may have been the Lemon Basil? I much prefer the Basil dressing...again, should ALWAYS be on their menu. I would go here again in a heartbeat. I'm curious to experience it indoors when it's colder. Oh, also, we didn't even realize there was a bar until we were leaving...might have ordered a glass of wine or craft beer had we known. The help was all very friendly, just think they should have mentioned it.

Yelp
This is a late review, but saw that I did review this in a different platform, so I'm doing it here too! Our visit was summer of 2023 Love the tranquil atmosphere and beautiful view of the river. We went late afternoon until sunset. It was just beautiful! We were just visiting from California and found this because of the good food reviews. We were surprised at the beautiful view. We enjoyed drinks with view of the river while waiting for our table. They were fully booked for the night but the hostess was able to squeeze us in. And the food didn't disappoint! A wonderful experience altogether!

Liz F.

Yelp
There are 3 separate lots so check each one for parking. Restaurant is in the back along the river. Hostess greeted us promptly and gave 2 options for seating. We choose outdoor along the river. Started with guacamole and chips. Sent it back as chips were stale. Seafood mix with linguini was a large portion, served hot, sauce had no flavor. Added salt to every bite. Date ordered duck with sweet potato and string beans. Duck was flavorful with lots of fat, string beans were raw, needed to be cooked more, sweet potato was soft but again had no flavor. Many Choices of beer in cans and bottles. Lovely seating along the lake although some table ate benches. For $42/entree, every seat should have back support. Lots of staff to change water, take dishes, and run plates.

Yelp
The Farm Country Kitchen truly is a hidden gem in the Town of Riverhead. This delightful restaurant offers not only exceptional food but also a wonderful ambiance. Whether you choose to sit inside or outside, you're in for a treat. My wife and I opted for an outdoor table with stunning views along the Peconic River. As we finished our delightful dinner, we were pleasantly greeted by the Head Chef Todd. We made sure to express our genuine satisfaction and assured him that we would gladly return. His culinary creations were truly outstanding, especially the Spinach Ravioli and the Chicken. Keep in mind that the restaurant may not be immediately visible from the road, so go slow. Although parking tends to fill up quickly, there's ample space available across the street. Overall, the Farm Country Kitchen is a fantastic dining establishment that comes highly recommended.

Yelp
Beautiful views while dining, but keep your eyes wide opened to find this place as it easily blends into the landscape as a typical cottage from the street. Farm country kitchen is located on a very, very busy Main street as cars in both directions come whizzing by. There are no stop lights, stop signs, or pedestrian crosswalks. I may have to dress up as a school crossing guard to slow/stop the traffic just to get to the other side:) NOTE: There is parking across the street marked for the restaurant, but the lot is small. Limited parking in the front and you have to park head in, just be careful backing into the main street when you leave. If weather permits, the outdoor seating is beautiful. The view of the lake is refreshing and picturesque, just like a scenic painting from the Great Bob Ross. We sat inside as the weather was windy. We ordered the following: * Baked clams - butter and seasoned bread crumbs. * Sorrento Panini - breaded chicken cutlets with spinach and sun-dried pesto cold side salad * Roberto pasta - boneless chicken, penne pasta, romano cheese, garlic, cherry tomato, asparagus, onion, garlic, and cooked in a creamy basil pesto sauce. * Blackberry ricotta cheesecake - smooth, light, fluffy and semi dense perfection. Great with a cup of coffee. The clams were garlicky delicious as we're the seasoned bread crumbs. The Sorrento was moist but sort of one dimensional as the chicken was bland and could have used more seasonings. The Roberto pasta was delicious since the pesto infused cream gave a bright and herbaceous flavor. This was my favorite dish. The service was top notch and prices reasonable. This place is 2.5 miles from the Tanger outlet, so this is a great place to recharge your batteries so you can go back to your shopping.

Yelp
I heard about this restaurant by word of mouth, and it is honestly amazing. I love a good restaurant that uses good quality ingredients. Great food, great drinks ,with an amazing view of the Peconic river. I had the avocado flatbread with goat cheese, which was pure perfection. The star of the show for me was the bolognese pasta for sure; I will come back for just for this dish alone. The desserts were amazing as well. Service was top notch too. Parking is a little rough there, but once you get passed that it's fine. Can't wait to return.

Yelp
A hidden gem in Riverhead that is right on the river. Came for lunch and this restaurant exceeded my expectations. At first, I was a little confused on where to park and where to go to be seated. Once we were seated, we had a great experience! There are many seating options, but we chose the picnic table in front of the river. The employees were very friendly and helpful. I went with the black bean burger which came with a side salad. The whole meal was so fresh and very filling. I would love to come back and try more menu items next time!

Danielle V.

Yelp
This is a number one stop for me anytime I'm in the area and it should be for you too! Right along the river with pretty views. Indoor and outdoor (when it's nice) seating and Adirondack chairs to sit in while you wait. I start my meal EVERY TIME with the lavender goat cheese bruschetta. A crispy crostini with lavender goat cheese, berries and a balsamic glaze .... I love this so much and will never miss it ! This time, I got the Asian bowl for my meal. The tuna was perfectly seared and sliced. The bowl was the perfect size with lots of veggies and quinoa. So many good cocktails as well!

Carlton R.

Yelp
The view!! This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous! It's a hidden gem and near a river. Perfect for a great outdoor lunch! Good and staff is terrific and very patient. Def will be back'

Sharon S.

Yelp
Wow this place is so mixed for me - food had good flavor but was WAY overcooked and the service was TERRIBLE. In fact I'm sitting here now waiting on someone to take our dessert order. It is seemingly taking forever... The wait: we were seated, they took our order, we had the specials. Apps came. They were very good - then seemingly we stopped to exist. Every table around us was seated and served before us. And we waited almost an hour for our dinner to arrive. And it only arrived after we asked. And we could only ask because we got up and found someone. After waiting an hour, we were disappointed that every meal was over cooked. One person ordered medium rare lamb chops; the waitress taking the order asked do you want pink or red. Red. Ok that is medium rare. Then they came well done. Seriously! Then we asked for a different plate, medium rare. I swear the same dish came out. Still well done. Tasted good. But way over done. Dessert was very tasty.

Yelp
Farm Country Kitchen is a hidden gem! I found this eatery while kayaking the Peconic last summer and am thrilled I finally tried it. Sitting along the river, nestled in greenery, it's like dining in a forest fairy wonderworld. I enjoyed my Montauk sandwich, which included fried shrimp, avocado, tomatoes, and remoulade on a potato bun with a side of potato salad. My grandmother had the crab cake sandwich and kept talking about how delicious and fresh it was. We took lots of pictures, especially when our juicy, fruity mocktails came out. The waitstaff was chatty and pleasant, and everything about this riverside restaurant is perfect. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Michelle L.

Yelp
I'm giving it four stars for the setting and the food but some things about the service need improvement. The outdoor setup on a river in a beautifully landscaped yard was outstanding. There were even options to sit on a chair overlooking the water with a drink from the bar. The menu had a myriad of delicious options. Our lamb chops and the chicken Stella were delicious. Now I would definitely return here but the check was weird. It's a good thing we checked our bill at the end because our $39 lamb chop dishes appeared on our check for $45 each. We told the waiter and it was corrected but we were told that there are discrepancies with the prices when it's rung up. If we didn't check we would have paid an additional $12. Our server did his best to sell a bottle of wine instead of just the glasses that were ordered and when we asked for a number of a cab service at the end the young servers told us to use our phones. They could have simply said they didn't know any. It was a good experience overall but if you're eating there check the bill at the end.

Tina W.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday afternoon. The grounds are beautiful! It's a casual place with super delicious farm to table ingredients! Prices are a little high for riverhead, but you're paying for the beautiful view! The service a little lacking, for a not-so-busy hour. But all in all it's still a great experience. Will def be back!

Alexandra D.

Yelp
It's rare these days that you have a great atmosphere, great service and good food. To me was reasonably priced. Totally recommend this place. I was there I 06.28.24 with my godson. We had mocktails. Their tuna that is a taco is to die for. I had my godson have a couple of pieces. We started off with artichokes and crab cakes. The crab cakes were that good that I bought 2 extra to take home. We shared the triple chocolate cake for my birthday. Whether you are a vegetarian, pescatarian or meat eater. They make food all taste buds and personal tastes. Check out their menu. The food is fresh. Showing photos of the after. LOL. The presentation of the food is magnificent!!! Service-impeccable. I called two weeks earlier because we were going to be in that area. A young lady on the phone was very nice and answered all my questions. When we got there someone who appeared to be either the owner or manager sat us down where I did not have to walk too much. I was with a cane and recovering from an injury to my leg. Everyone was attentive. Did not have to wait for refill of water. But was not rushed through the meal. We enjoyed sitting and eating. I was the one who paid cash and have a couple of cellphones on the table. Have a lot of businesses and my god son is in the film industry. We kind of like our privacy. But the name on the cards would have given us away. Hope that my injury recovers would like to sit near the lake and have a cheese platter and try different items in the menu. I already advised my friends and business people to go there. A lot of us have our boats close by in Greenport. I told them that Farm Country Kitchen is a new spot that I discovered. My following is better than the internet. You come home satisfied. Everything they make is freshly done. For me to drive 32 minutes out of my way and recommend a place. They have to be that good. They are that good. I don't go by my name on a review. Word of mouth to my friends. But am always honest to the my internet fans. Enjoy!!!!

Amneris M.

Yelp
We were in the area and decided to try Farm Country Kitchen because it was highly recommended by so many. We went around lunch time on a Sunday and it was busy. Parking is limited, but that day they let us park either by a business that was closed (it was also full) or near the train tracks (where we parked). It was a nice day out so the walk didn't bother us. We asked for a table for two and only had to wait 5 minutes. The only downside was the spot we were seated, it was tight and we felt like we were in the way. The mussel basil was too good! Would definitely have it again. The Roberto pasta was delicious. The Montauk sandwich was ok, the sauce on the inside was a little too much and the potato salad had no flavor and it was too creamy. Overall we had a great time. Thank you!

Samantha C.

Yelp
Wow! Just wow... I've heard so much about Farm Country Kitchen so when finishing an afternoon out on the north fork with a friend we decided to go here on a whim. Our whim turned into an amazing dinner. We were sat right away in an outdoor/screened in space. The place gives off farm vibes but with a hip and fun twist. Like you know they are throwing hoedowns in the dining spot closer to the Peconic River til all hours of the night (at least I hope they are). By the way, the river is totally viewable and is such a cool feature to the restaurant. Appetizer - Baked Clams...TENS ACROSS THE BOARD!!! One of THE BEST Baked Clams I have ever had. They are kept whole with the perfect amount of breadcrumb ratio. Blown away... For the main event, I had the Crescent duck salad. Whenever I can get duck, I try to partake because I will never attempt to cook it at home. When I saw The Crescent duck salad on the menu I knew I need to jump on this opportunity. The fruit that was in the salad was perfect with the tangy dressing, and my duck was cooked perfectly. My friend had the rigatoni Bolognese and she enjoyed it just as much as I enjoyed my salad. I wanted to save some room for dessert, but it just wasn't happening. Great experience with great food and I am definitely coming back for those baked clams!

Mizan R.

Yelp
This place is a cozy gem by the water with lovely views and plenty of outdoor seating. The food was good i went for lunch and got the serrano panini and also the sliced steak sandwich. it's honesty the same thing just with a different type of cheese. it comes with a side of pasta salad and it was good! the only caveat is that it's overpriced for a sandwich. the service was good our waiter is sometimes hard to find because they have to cover a lot of ground please note on packed days parking could be tough and we had to find street parking on the side of the parking lot. a very tranquil place for sure A-

Tracy F.

Yelp
Over the very many years I've been lucky enough to consistently enjoy really good farm to table cuisine. No corking fee if you BYOB. Fabulous staff & menu. If you're snooty & looking to impress please go elsewhere. This is a fantastic locale eatery

Jan J.

Yelp
10/10. Food, service, ambiance! All of it. We had the spicy rigatoni and the prosciutto with melon and they were both to die for! We will be back!

Frank T.

Yelp
We arrived, party of 3 without reservations. The hostess said 20 minutes, which we appreciated after a bad experience at another popular place in the area basically told us to screw off. The place is unique. A restaurant in an 1800's era house that makes excellent use of the grounds and available space. We would have driven right by if not for GPS. The drinks were good. Crab cake was huge and very tasty. Scallops over risotto was excellent. All 3 mains were clean plated. Deserts were amazing. The service was friendly and prompt. Thank you Ryan, we were also invited to hang out by the bar with a view of the river after dinner. A very nice experience. We will definitely be back,

NewYorker C.

Yelp
Was really looking forward to trying this place and sadly it was disappointing from start to finish. Arrived 10 minutes before our reservation. The hostess seated us 20 minutes later - did not get her name, but she had long dark blonde hair and was wearing jeans and a black turtleneck on Black Friday, the night we dined. She was SO RUDE. I mentioned our reservation was for a birthday she didn't say anything. Thinking she didn't hear me, as we were sitting down I tactfully and with discretion mentioned this, and she says 'OH I HEARD YOU!' I let that go. But it was foreshadowing for the rest of the night. John, our server, seemed nice enough. He greeted us and took our drink orders, but then disappeared FOR A REALLY LONG TIME. Our drinks came 10 minutes later and it wasn't busy. Upon ordering apps and our meals, he didn't have any answers to simple questions. We all just let it go too. The apps were OK - the antipasto, raw oyster special, and BBQ shrimp. He never came back to check on us - but a homeless man came into the restaurant did! Asked us for money and went unnoticed for quite a while. He was drooling and it was very unsanitary and made us feel unsafe. John finally reappeared and ushered the man out. One of my dinner companions mentioned that when he went to the restroom that much of the staff was gathered together looking at their phones...might explain why th homeless guy just traipsed in. All our dinners were subpar - duck, steak and pasta. Both the duck and steak were overcooked and the pasta was flavorless. The food runner was rude and delivered one dinner almost 5 minutes after all the others and was laughing about it. John never checked back in until we were done. Never asked if we wanted more drinks. He also either forgot about my friend's birthday, or the rude hostess never told him. Terrible night. Won't EVER be back. The place is not worth the hype - food is glorified cafeteria food, service is awful and they can't keep their guests safe.

Rob C.

Yelp
Food - sorry, we could not be accommodated as they apparently full for the night. I so wanted to bribe them to try this place. No dice. And yes, I do understand but it's just disappointing that we could not be seated. Ambiance - definitely a romantic outdoor place by the Peconic water(bay?). Irks me but hey, what can we do?

Lily C.

Yelp
I had heard so much about Farm Country Kitchen, and have been wanting to go for a number of years. We happen to be able to get a lunch reservation and I could see how FCK gets great reviews, especially on a beautiful day. The day we went was kind of cloudy, but you still got a feel for the property and it was lovely. The food was good but nothing spectacular. The service was fine... Again, nothing spectacular. I had the pasta dish and it was just OK. I've had better pasta dishes from my local Italian restaurant. Would I recommend this place? Probably but would I come back? Probably not, unless it was a nice day. With that said, if you can try to get here on a nice weather day, you won't be disappointed with the food or the ambience. And hopefully you'll come on a day when the service is slightly better. I would give FCK 3 1/2 stars, but since this is not an option, I will round up to four.

John M.

Yelp
Nice little place on a river. Service was terrific. No complaints there. Food was really good.. it was a little pricey. A shared appetizer, no drinks and 2 entrees was just $125 with tip.

Nalicia S.

Yelp
I was excited to try this spot because of the great rating and the beautiful pictures. But, it was very underwhelming for me. We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation but had to wait 1 hour to be seated. It was fine since it was busy and we wanted outdoor seating. The restaurant was very beautiful and scenic but that's about all it offers. The menu was average and not what I expect for a place that presented itself as elegant and classy. We had the BBQ Shrimp ($18) for app and had the Baby Lamb Chop ($45) and Chicken Stelle ($28) for entrees. We ordered Hurricane ($16) and Old Fashioned ($16) for drinks and Creme Brulee Cheesecake ($12) for dessert. The BBQ Shrimp came with 5 shrimls and was decent and had a nice smoky taste. It paired well with the guac. It was a 7/10 for me. I was underwhelmed with the Chicken Stella. It was a bit undercooked and the sauce was average. I expected it to be a bit juicier. Out of everything, the best part was the mashed potatoes. It was a 6/10 for me. The Baby Lamb Chops were much too tough and not as tender as I've had at other places. It wasn't very seasoned and relied on the sauce for flavor. The best part of this dish was also the mashed potatoes! For $45, I would expect my lamb to be more tender and juicy and flavorful. Definitely not worth the price! It was a 6/10. The drinks were strong but not in a good way - there were times my Old Fashioned tasted like rubbing alcohol. Overall, it was a 6/10. The Hurricane was disgusting and disappointing. It was too many flavors in one drink, which ruined the taste. It was a 3/10. The best part was the dessert. The Creme Brulee Cheesecake was pretty rich and not overly sweet. I enjoyed it and the berries with fresh cream were a nice touch. This was an 8/10. Overall, this spot is great for the view and photos but not the food. The menu is a bit limited and the food is not very flavorful. I don't think many of the dishes were worth the price given how bland they tasted. I won't be going back here as I don't think it's worth the price or the trip.

Catherine P.

Yelp
Called in reservation 2 weeks ago. Arrived and hostess was rude and was seating group ahead of us with no reservation. Didn't honor our reservation and barely even looked at me. We had 1 choice of table only. Indoors near the entrance or wait 20 minutes or more Hair in appetizer. They did return and send back another Shells in baked clams. We had to return them Dinner was mediocre. Service was mediocre. Would not recommend.

JoAnn A.

Yelp
What a treat!! Food was delicious..the scenery breathtaking & relaxing our table over looked the beautiful Peconic river.. friendly staff. We started off with whipped ricotta drizzled with a lemon honey syrup. AMAZING BITE!! Each of us had the Amalfi salad with chick peas, cukes, tomatoes, parmeggiano reggiano ,Kalamata olives over chopped romaine accompanied with delicious chicken breast. We each had a delicious mocktail-one Brazilian with mango & the other lacked the lavender syrup(they were out) but subbed in raspberry & basil-different & refreshing! The ONLY negative is parking..THERE IS HARDLY ANY ON A VERY BUSY ROAD!! Worth the visit just be careful.

Carla V.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. Its nestled in a garden with about 5 steps to walk down but once you arrive the ambiance is like a natural oasis over looking the peconic river. The food was delicious. Among us four we had crab cake, burgers on brioche bun and tuna melt sandwich and salad. John, our waiter, was attentive and welcoming. We waited a little while but I could they made the tuna fresh- absolutely delicious! One mistake I made is not telling them about a nut sensitivity-but the tastiness was worth it taking the Benadryl (lol).

Matt B.

Yelp
Delicious food, and natural, home prepped vibe and aesthetic. Highly recommend, especially in warmer weather when outdoor area can be taken advantage of.

Brian M.

Yelp
I had one of the best salads ever there...with sliced steak of course. I haven't been there in years. They had byob last time I was there. I give credit to the servers who run up and down the stairs. Parking is a hassle but I'm going back soon!

Sam G.

Yelp
We went there for a special birthday celebration today and had a negative experience. I have always liked the place but because of today's experience I am questioning if I want to go back . While the food and waiter were good , my interaction with another staff member was very concerning . Instead of coming over to make sure we had everything we needed to properly enjoy the birthday , she asked us to hurry up and get out . The reason being is that they , " had reservations waiting and needed our table " Keep in mind , we also had a reservation and at this time in the meal had not even ordered desert . This inconsiderate and unnecessary act by a staff member put a damper on the entire birthday celebration and we will not be returning to this establishment. They seemed too busy to show their paying customers basic respect .

Arlene L.

Yelp
Excellent food, great setting. Good service. What else do you need? Oh yeah, have a cocktail. Those are good too

Kilsis J.

Yelp
We came close to 7 on a Sunday and did not wait long to be seated. There is parking right in front and also if you drive a bit on first left there is parking. We definitely missed the place at first because it was dark and there isn't a sign that's lit up but if you see a lot of cars parked and like a silver trailer, then you are in the right place. The staff was really nice and our waitress was sweet. We got crab cake, baked mussels, BBQ shrimp, hanger steak and strip steak. We al shared and we all loved the food. It was really good. Definitely worth checking out, during the day you can see the water.

Yelp
First off, this location is so beautiful. I have not sat indoors yet but the outside seating by the eater is SO beautiful. The service is also phenomenal and all the servers I've had the numerous times I have been there have been very kind. They are a bit pricey and I do wish their menu had a greater selection, but their food is high quality and very good. My family particularly loved the quality of their beef.

Yelp
By far the best restaurant in Riverhead and the North Fork Long Island! recommend the strawberry fruit, bruschetta appetizer, baked clams, and coffee marinated ribs. The Crescent Farms half duck with apricot demiglaze was out of this world!!! Great Wine selections. Dr K

Yelp
I had not been here in a few years. They did a great job expanding the outside. They also have an additional new parking lot across the street. I ordered the Portofino sandwich. It was very good. The pasta salad that came with it was also delicious. I'm always a sucker for their Arnold Palmers. They are not too sweet and a perfect treat for a hot summer day. I hate to say this but the service wasn't great. We had to ask several people for our check as our waitress disappeared toward the end of our meal. I'm sure it was because of the holiday weekend so I'm not too concerned. Prices for the sandwiches were definitely fair. However, I was deterred from ordering a cocktail since they were priced at $17 each. I just couldn't justify that price. Other menu items were also very high priced. If you sit outside, beware of bees. They were pretty aggressive this time of year. Minus the bees, the ambiance here is great. The restaurant sits right by the water so you can see kayakers row by. It is also dog friendly outside. I saw several well-behaved dogs there this past weekend.

Yelp
After inadvertently passing this hidden gem, we contemplated turning around. Having never been here and being unfamiliar with the area: Upon turning around, we were next challenged with finding parking since the restaurant is nestled right by the Peconic Bay along Route 58 (West Main Street). Now, that we know exactly where it is, we'll be mindful to be looking for parking as we approach! We will definitely be back! As we entered, we were pleasantly greeted by the hostess. We were seated on the enclosed deck overseeing the Peconic Bay. Have to say it was still busy at 2:00 for lunch. We ordered from the lunch menu but the dinner menu was available to order from if we wanted to. Both menus offer many choices for everyone to find something of their liking. We each chose a different sandwich so we could both split each other's to get a taste of the equally delicious choices. I got the Sorrento Panini (sliced filet mignon normally served with Gorgonzola cheese but I swapped it for mozzarella) and my hubby got the Montauk sandwich. They were both balanced and each bite was equally delicious. Sort of a surf and turf version for us on this visit. :) Nice staff & service, great food, and welcoming ambiance combined with a beautiful backdrop that just adds to the vibe. On our way out, we asked for how long this wonderful little establishment has been around. We were told 20 years! Not sure how we've missed it, but now we know & we will be back!! Highly recommend you stop in, you'll be glad you did.

Yelp
We went on weekend and were able to enjoy the view and food this place has to offer with no big crowd of people! The food was delicious, would 100% recommend the Roberto Pasta. My boyfriend said that the lamb chops were great too, just wished the portion size was bigger. The peanut butter moose cake was a must get, and the espresso martini was Overall a cute place to grab a bite with a different scenery! I thought it reminded of being down south with the big lake and such! Fair warning though, try to come a bit earlier than intended to get a parking spot because it's very limited!! And if you have someone who is handicapped the walkway to get to the outside dining is kind of risky! I didn't see an alternative route to get down, but they might have one if you ask!

Yelp
Surprised ratings aren't higher from those who claim to have dined here and posted a review. My personal experience was recently, Thursday September 12th having dined with my Son & Brother. Farm Country Kitchen is outstanding in so many ways. Located adjacent to the water with dining options outside or in, the setting is vibrant without intruding on the peaceful serenity of the restaurants natural surroundings. Service is outstanding, being maturely attentive to the privacy of each diner to enjoy the beauty of the property while maintaining the support to very comfortably describe the menu choices from the ingredients to the profile in how it's sourced, prepared cooked and even what you can expect its flavor profile might project. This amazing establishment deserves to be loved. Great food, great staff, great service along with fresh & delicious food. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Very happy we came back. We didn't have any dealings with the unpleasant person from last time. Everything was perfect. Wonderful waitress. Perfect seat. Excellent food.

Yelp
Came here on a whim last year. We were driving past and saw this place. Surprising, because it's VERY easy to miss if you're not paying attention. Especially, at night. For some reason, I'm missing pictures of our entrees. To be fair, I will rate what I have pictured. I do plan to come back soon to try other things on the menu. Here's what we ordered: - the Classic Margarita: patron silver, FAIR kumquat, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, garnished with fresh lime and salt - mojito: rum, fresh lime, simple syrup, mint and soda - avocado flatbread: toasted with creamy spread of avocado, cilantro pesto, goat cheese crumbles, finished with tomatillo pesto with arugula salad - lemon raspberry cake I remember everything being so delicious. We ate it all up with not having to wrap anything up. (That's rare for me) I want to come back and sit in the back/outdoor area. The service was great, the people were nice and pretty knowledgeable. Can't wait to come back :)

Yelp
Looking for a nice place on the water and outside. This place checked all the boxes. Parking is brutal so be patient and stalk. Luckily someone was leaving soon after we started looking so got a spot close. Checked in with the host and once our name was on the list we grabbed some cocktails and took a seat in the aderondeck chairs facing the water. While we were enjoying the view we were also checking out the tables and hoping we would get one of the two tops by the water. We did!! Probably the best table in the place for2. As for the food it was really good. So many things to choose from that sounded delicious. We started with New Orleans Scallops. Delicious and perfectly cooked. The guacamole and salsa on top was so good. Next I ordered the Hanger Steak. I was mainly looking to get the risotto but everything on this plate was awesome. Deb had the Crab Cake. This was amazing. I am not a big crab cake person but this was so good. Finally we finished with Peanut Butter Mousse. Incredible. Decadent. 5 stars is well deserved here great food, great service and great atmosphere.

Yelp
You will miss this restaurant if you aren't looking for it, but I definitely recommend looking for it. We were sat outside for a beautiful view. The heat lamps make fall dining outside possible. The fried artichokes were delicious. The Brussels sprouts with pancetta were spot on. All of our dishes were served steaming hot and were PERFECT for outside dining. The wine selection was ok - not great, but the food is completely worth it. Stop here! Worth it! PS - stopped in for a second dinner and it was just as delicious! Great service, great food, beautiful views!

Always excellent food and friendly service! Not to mention the wonderful setting. We visit as often as we can.
