Probably the most famous flower fields in Furano given how all the tour buses were stopping here. Very crowded with tourists. The flower fields were nice and well maintained but I cant help to feel that other less crowded ones nearby were more lush and more enjoyable. Still, worth a visit. Especially enjoyed the gentle fragrance of lavender wafting in the air

A big place, there is lots of flowers and are beautiful. You gotta see the water from 60m underground. Touch it, it is so cold. If Ur burning hot in the summer, poor a bit on your face and is refreshing. DO NOT DRINK. There is also a car park so no need to worry about driving here. The flowers are beautiful, the sea of flowers.

I’ve been coming to Farm Tomita in every season—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—and it never disappoints! The scenery is always beautiful, with lovely trees and flowers that change throughout the year. It’s a perfect place to bring friends, enjoy the atmosphere, and try some tasty food. Each season also has its own fresh, seasonal vegetables, which are always a treat. Definitely worth a visit anytime of the year!

We drove from Asahikawa and arrived around 9 AM, which was perfect for avoiding the large tour groups. The farm is absolutely beautiful; while some of the lavender was past its peak, the fields were still overflowing with a stunning variety of other flowers. What truly stands out is the value: both parking and admission are completely free, which is incredibly rare for an attraction of this quality. Despite the free access, the farm is impeccably organized and maintains a charming, non-commercial feel. The gentle scent of lavender in the cool air was wonderfully relaxing. The food was a highlight! The lavender soda was delicious, and I loved the unique way the bottle opens. The boiled corn and lavender ice cream were also fantastic. We were very impressed with the souvenir shop—the items are well-designed and high-quality, and the prices felt quite reasonable. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend this farm to anyone visiting Furano.

Visited on 23 June 2025. It was a lovely farm with nicely planted flowering plants. Of course, Lavender was the highlight. Do visit the farm's museum on the second floor to learn about the farm's touching history. Take visit also to the neighbouring melon house. There are cute photo spots here too.

The ice cream there was exceptionally good. It had a unique taste of lavender. There was a souvenir shop with lots of souvenir for you to choose from to buy for your friends and family members. There was also a lot of places for you to take pictures of the colorful flowers. There is no need to buy tickets and you don't have to wait although there is a lot of people.

My family and I as first time foreign tourists in Hokkaido were here today to admire the many fields of lavender at this Farm, which were in full bloom and which were highly Instagramable. And apart from the beautiful fields of blooming lavender flowers, the Farm also had several souvenir stations selling lavender-centric products (from soaps to facial cosmetic masks) as well as kiosks selling "lavender coloured or scented" ice cream that not only looked attractive but also tasted yummy. And even though we visited the Farm on a Sunday and during its busy season, our experience here overall despite the crowd was still quite nice.

Crowded place. July heat wave. A little beyond lavender peak. So less purple. Many shops selling ice cream n melon. Free parking. Bring umbrella, hat. About an hour.

Yelp
Beautiful flower fields! Mainly lavender but there are also fields of colorful flowers. Parking can get very busy so get there in the morning, admission is free and then there are gift shops everywhere. Definitely get the lavender soft serve, melon soft serve and there are tons of lavender themed gifts you can get! Spent maybe 2 hours exploring the entire farm!

Yelp
Admission is free for these beautiful fields!!! We had a memorable morning roaming the fields and browsing the lavender product shops. There are benches for resting, tree-lined areas for shaded walking, and observatory decks for gorgeous views! I recommend parking in the Melon house parking lot rather than waiting to park in the main Farm Tomita parking lot. It's a short 3-4 minute walk between the two areas. Plus, this makes it easy to stop for lunch or dessert in Melon House area on the way out!

Yelp
This place is huge! Lots of lavender fields to walk through (each with a different variety of lavender), plus other flowers as well. There are also souvenir and snack shops scattered around--definitely worth a look for lavender related products + lavender ice cream. Free admission is definitely an enormous plus. It does mean there are more people who come here, but also the place is so huge that it doesn't feel particularly crowded. Especially if you walk out into some of the farther fields (uphill toward the rose garden, past the poppies, etc.), any crowd thins out a ton. Truly a lovely, well-tended farm! Snack-wise, I had the lavender soft serve and really enjoyed it--solid lavender flavor, and nice smooth ice cream texture! I'm probably just too big of a lavender fan, but I wouldn't have complained if the flavor had been a little stronger :^) Overall Tomita was a very fun farm to visit though--beautiful place!

Yelp
Free Admission! Beautiful fields of flowers! Lavender peaks in July and August and they have a variety of different flower fields for you to walk around. There are snacks and food that you can purchase but definitely try the lavender ice cream. The farm is huge and it's great for kids to run around in the lesser traveled fields. You can get some amazing photos here.

Yelp
Farm Tomita: Did you know "lavender tourism" is a thing? I got excited because I thought it was a gay thing, but no, they actually mean real lavender like fragrant fields of it. Lavender is the new pink, at least that's what the great philosopher Nicki Minaj said. Even in mid-October, past the fullest of their bloom, this is a gorgeous spot to peruse because in typically meticulous Japanese fashion, they provide a tapestry of different flowers that make their gardens feel like colorful tapestries flowing in a river (photo: http://bit.ly/2Jl1HFD). Even if you tire of the variety of floral fields on display, you can indulge in a cup of lavender soft serve (photo: http://bit.ly/31MrI7a). Jamie W. and I got here as the highlight of Japanese bus tour where nonsensical English translations came out of the speaker in a robotic monotone. It's probably a lot cheaper to take the train from Sapporo. RELATED - Traveling to Japan? Here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed: http://bit.ly/2qrUBZo

Yelp
Huge lavender theme park. Beautiful flowers everywhere. Best time to come in July or August during the peak lavender season. Best part: free admission. Nice to walk around and take pics. When feeling tired, you can take a break from having a snack like lavender ice cream or melon. Also don't forget to pick up a few souvenir items from their gift shops.
