Farmers Bistro

This Bistro's location is easy to locate. Google Maps is spot on to assist you finding this place. Staff and service was friendly and prompt. We were early for our reservation by 30 mins and it was not a problem. The menu is full of tasty mushrooms dishes which will make your decisions hard. The buffet has many choices. The soup was excellent. The portabella mushroom burger was great. We tried the Mushroom Ice cream. It has a very unique taste and should be experienced! The atmosphere of the bistro was excellent. The bistro was clean and had wonderful views of the country side. $$ was average. The bistro is close to the Secret Lagoon. Enjoy!

Only a 5 minute walk from our base is this wonderful bistro that serves the best mushroom soup in the world, made from mushrooms grown at their own farm. We’ve never tasted mushroom soup this good anywhere 😋 And the place itself is warm and cosy. Highly recommended 💯

We did the mushroom soup buffet and so much is included. Soup, garlic bread, sourdough, 4 types of butter, 2 types of mushroom, tapenade. Staff very friendly and the cuddliest dog hanging around. Also tea, coffee, and hot chocolate included. Very well priced for a buffet - 3.3k. Also tried the mushroom ice cream. Worth trying and comes with a layer of honey on top

The best mushroom soup I’ve ever had. Was perfect after a morning at the Secret Lagoon! We all went for the buffet, which included one type of mushroom soup, two kinds of bread, four different butters, tea and coffee, and a lovely range of sides. Everything was so fresh and delicious. You could also go back for as many servings as you like. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more memorable. I wish we’d had time to go back, but we’ll definitely visit again next time we’re in Iceland. Highly recommend!

I died and went to the mushroom heaven when I tried their soup and ice cream!! Easily one of the best mushroom soups I had, with a slight kick of heat in the end!! You can taste the freshness of the ingredients in every bite. You have a choice between their buffet and other ala carte items. Can’t go wrong with either of the choices! The setting was nice, the food was incredible and their dog Staka was cute!!

DELIGHTFULLY DELICIOUS!! If you love fresh ingredients and mushrooms….you will love this little bistro with fresh and lactose free mushroom soup, fresh sourdough bread and smor spreads (butter). Choose from the buffet or menu. Coffee & tea and interesting deserts! Carrot Cake with cream cheese frosting or ice cream (mushroom or carrot) ENJOY

We came here after Secret Lagoon for a lunch and this place was DELICIOUS!!! We got the stuffed pepper and lamb wrap, and the fresh salad on the side was simple but so flavourful. Sadly we did not try the mushroom soup buffet but it looked amazing with all the fresh bread, butter, and side dishes. If you come here…. leave room for the carrot cake!! Best I’ve ever tried

Delicious soup, warm bread with mushroom or garlic butter and a marvelous keto burger (a favorite amongst teens we were traveling with!) Don’t miss the “deconstructed” carrot cake!
