Some of the best home cooked comfort fries food i have ever had. I'm not normally a green bean casserole person, but today I old not stop eating my portion. The fried chicken was juicy, crispy, and very delicious. Key lime pie was sweet and tasty. The staff are very warm and welcoming. Stop by for an amazing meal and a welcoming community!

The food was pretty good, I should have asked for cheese but that was on me. The staff was very nice and friendly, you get more than what you pay for in my opinion. Cheaper and better than waffle house, I loved how spacious it is and how quiet it is. I love the early hours and can't wait to try their lunch sometime, would recommend.

I had asked my former co-workers awhile back about where could I get a good Southern breakfast and was told The Farmer's Market Cafe was a " don't miss".. and after using Google Maps I found myself in the front parking area this morning .. so in I went... I was warmly greeted and given a menu.. I ordered The Farmer's Breakfast and knew there was no way I could get out of here without trying The Biscuits and Gravy which later I found a great choice. plus coffee and juice to wash it down.. the meal was nothing short of excellent.. well prepared oh and did I rave about the biscuits and gravy .. well they were worth the trip.. my waitress was on point and my coffee cup never went dry. The dining area was spacious and clean and so was the restroom.. After dining I checked out the surrounding area. Time slipped away and by the time I returned the restaurant was serving lunch and the parking lot was packed.. I made a mental note that lunch here is a must. I say to the restaurant staff and management .. great job .. and I will return..

No major chain in Montgomery can outdo the service, great food and southern hospitality atmosphere, that this restaurant embodies. I’m not sure why I’ve only just found this place last year but it is my literal go to on any day. I drive way from pike road regularly just to enjoy the A+ treatment and great food.

The good was awful. Had breakfast . Waffle House would have been better. Service never checked on. Price wasn’t bad but you get what you pay for.

Came from out of town and stopped for an early breakfast - turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip!! The place had a real hometown feel to it, which was inviting as this was my first time in Montgomery. Staff was super nice, very attentive! And the food - oh. my. goodess! Literally the best French toast I've ever had (including my old family recipe, haha!) and the biscuits were melt in your mouth delicious! It was such a wonderful experience and I was shocked by how cheap it was - hard to find these days ;) Definitely recommend and I will certainly be coming here again whenever I'm in the area!

Google
The service was top notch the atmosphere was really nice as well. The pancakes weren't as good as they looked. The grits were delicious and I wished oh how I wished I had one more piece of sausage in the plate. Location was easy to find and food came up really quick.

The food was good. Everyone with the exception of the waitress did a good job. She had one job…get our drinks. We watched her greet every other table around us and get their drinks. I was able to stop one of the ladies walking by that worked up front for assistance. When we were almost finished with our meal, the waitress finally decided to stop at our table. I’m sure that was only to give us our check. The gentleman cleaning tables provided better service than her.

Yelp
Great breakfast. Good coffee. Pancakes, sides omelettes all good. Convenient to downtown sights. service very prompt.

Yelp
One block off Madison Ave is a terrific experience: Farmer's Market Cafe'. Immediate service, the waitress had a tray full of food, still greeted us and took our drink request. Another brought the coffee and menus right away. Terrific food too. And inexpensive. Great attitude.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go for lunchtime. Just a quick walk from RSA Union takes me back to memories of eating my grandmother's cooking. The atmosphere is reminiscent of small-town cafes with football memorabilia and oh-so-comfortable booth seating. Lots of options of meat, veggies, and sweets - all the important food groups. Service is spectacular - you won't go thirsty with abundant sweet tea and water refills! Looking forward to my next trip.

Yelp
Love the breakfast! Forgot to take pictures. Had two eggs sausage, grits, and toast..

Yelp
For breakfast. It's a fine place for southern breakfast. All of the usuals and good service. Nothing to wow or disappoint you. The real nice touch was getting local honey for the biscuit.

Yelp
Always great food and service. If you want good county cooking you need to go there. Fried chicken is great. Food always taste fresh.

Yelp
Always consistent and good. Fried chicken is wonderful. Plenty of sides to choose from. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Been coming here since early '80s.

Yelp
Not impressed. I should have walked out when I saw the guy with his head down on the table. I went for breakfast and had coffee, biscuit, link sausage, hash browns and 2 eggs over medium. I really didn't like any of it. My eggs were not over medium. Over easy and the whites runny. Couldn't even eat them all. Sausage tasted like kielbasa, not a traditional pork breakfast sausage. The biscuit was ok, but have had much better. The coffee was very weak and the hash browns standard fair. The prices are cheap, but you get what you pay for. I added 1 star for the service. Won't return.

Yelp
They had iced tea sitting on the tables when I walked in. I was immediately a fan. Prompt servers directed us to our tables and brought out menus. Even gave suggestions when we asked. We ended up having the silver dollar pancake breaky and biscuits and gravy. That pancake breakfast has a deceptive name, because those were some big...&&%...pancakes! Biscuits and gravy where also large portions, but a little mediocre. Still...we come back...

Yelp
I just enjoy so much of local food and feelings! Food was very southern home made like. ;)

Yelp
Great little dinner. Nothing fancy. Good food. Even better staff. Wish they were open for breakfast on the weekends.

Yelp
Not a bad breakfast. The best? Nah, but certainly not the worst, either. I had the biscuits and gravy. I thought the biscuits were really good, but the gravy was a little runny. No big deal. The price is right, it was only $3.99. Maybe I'm just too used to California prices...! There were 10 of us for breakfast, and the total cost was under $70. That's not too bad.

Yelp
Great spot if you're in Montgomery. Family owned. Down home cooking. Great fried chicken and wonderful wait staff. And the BEST Iced Tea around!! We loved this cafeteria-style spot. The waitress talked with us for a while and we learned a lot about the history from the owner Phil. Really nice people. Definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
The food and service here are fine. Typical country cooking. Good, but not outstanding. Large dining room. Ample parking. They have wifi, but it wasn't working today and I doubt they have much interest in (or skill at) fixing it.

Yelp
Good southern cafeteria style cooking Quick, good and easy

Yelp
Good food. Quick and hot. I dropped in for lunch and got in and out in under 20 minutes. Many meats to choose from as well as a half dozen or so vegetables

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast while attending our son's Officer's Commission Ceremony. Good food, friendly staff, quaint diner atmosphere.

Yelp
Nope. Came for breakfast and was disappointed. Pancakes and eggs were undercooked. I was told they had no biscuits because "the truck had not come..."

Alexandra H.

Yelp
I loved this place. For those of you looking for some Michelin star restaurants, this is a diner. The five stars aren't for white table cloths. They are for eye-rolling good grits and fried green tomatoes, and really lovely service. I went for breakfast so in addition to the above my order included bacon (which, let's be honest, rarely disappoints, but here it was juicy and crispy and... I just can't... so good). The servers are so friendly and sweet - for breakfast the frier usually isn't on but since I hadn't tried fried green tomatoes yet my server got them to turn it on and make them for me, and they were DELICIOUS. Anytime I'm in Montgomery I will most definitely go back.

Yelp
Never thought we'd get to eat here since it's only open M-F for breakfast and lunch. But we had a large break so decided to head on over and check it out! Wonderful cafeteria-line style with all sorts of down-home cooking comforts. I got the steak smothered in gravy and onion, and sides of cheese grits, collard greens, and rutabegas. My friends got their delicious looking pie as well. As much tea as you could drink and they let you take to-go boxes, thank goodness!! Definintely will be back. And the Pecan Company right across the street!!!
