"Bluffton’s Old Town area is like Savannah’s historic district in miniature: smaller and closer together, but with the same grand old trees and hanging Spanish moss. It’s the perfect place, then, for the local farmers market, which takes place Thursday afternoons year round and draws not just local growers but food producers of all stripes. At what other farmers market, for instance, can you find a she-crab soup truck?" - Sam Worley

Absolutely incredible. Truly today was a magical day and it was all thanks to the farmers market. Every vendor was welcoming, kind and told me all about there products. We started at the okän food truck and then went around and got something from almost everyone. There were even gluten free goodies for me to try!

Amazing small town farmer’s market. It will not disappoint! The varieties are endless. There are several meat vendors, fresh vegetable vendors, flower vendors, fresh rice from local fields, sweet treat vendors, fresh breads, and much more. The market even has a variety of food that you can order and enjoy. During my most recent visit to the market, there was a smoked meats stand, fresh dumplings and noodles, coffee, ice cream or ice pops, seafood, etc. The people in charge of this market do a really good job and really offer diversity. I hope it continues to grow.

Small local farmers market. It's one that has several farms attend, not a flea market like some end up being. Fresh produce, eggs and fresh baked breads. Several booths set up for food as well. Always enjoyable and especially on a warm January day when the rest of the country is snowed in.

I love the Farmer's Market. I get to buy my fruits and vegetables, meet new people, and try new foods. Summer hours are from 10 am to 2 pm

Wonderful. From what I've gathered via my two friends today, this place really expanded in the past years and it's (my opinion) quite big. The park nearby offers a good place to relax and enjoy the things you bought and there was a fair bit of variety at each vendors' stands. Fun to go with friends, there's usually pets (dogs) here as well! Recommend the Boba truck and Chinese lo mein/dumpling vending stations. Its proximity to the docks nearby also makes it perfect for a laid-back, relatively scenic view of the marshlands. First time here, would love to come back someday.

Good popsicles and lemonade. There’s a farm stand with beef, eggs, and dairy products I’ve been wanting to try to. Always a good turnout of vendors and shoppers.

Google
This review is only for the bread stand at the market. I saw a line of 15 people waiting to buy a variety of breads at this stand. I thought it must be great! Bought a baguette (it was expensive) and couldn't wait to try it. Got home, cut a slice, tasted it. It was THE worst bread I have every tried! No taste and dry as can be. The loaf immediately went into the garbage. Can't understand why there was such a line. Has anyone else felt the same way about this bread stand after tasting it? Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the stand.

Yelp
Thursday experience in Bluffton. Given our several Hilton Head holidays, we arrange time in Thursday to enjoy the music, shopping, and food of this unique farmer's market. Greatly enjoy the outdoor venue and the service of the many vendors. Also enjoy conversation with other visitors. We highly recommend.

Yelp
This was one of the best farmers markets I've been too. There are a lot of vendors and some delicious food offered.

Yelp
Great selection of fresh produce and prepared food. Lovely location in Old Town Bluffton.

Yelp
A trip to a new place is not complete without a stop to a farmer's market. I love seeing all their local vendors me food! The location is a good spot with a good mix of sun and shade. It is in the middle of the cute village of Bluffton, SC. In walking distance you will find a handful of gift shops, an antique store, two parks and a couple side walk cafes. These are the cute towns and farmer's markets that I simply love!

Yelp
Wow, what a nice surprise to find this Farmers Market at the tail end of a blocked off Calhoun St on my recent first visit to this fabulous little village. It was a glorious day to amble through the market. On the walk down there, there are a number of stores that look like they are residential or once were, selling all types of art, from paintings to yard decor. Oh it's so cute here & fits in with the totally chill relaxed vibe of Bluffton. No shortage of cafes & Parks here. The Farmers Market has all the usual wares from fruits & vegetables to bread flowers crafts , paintings & trinkets. Well worth the visit on a Thursday from 1-6. I love supporting local & this is a great place to do it.

Yelp
Great little farmers market in the heart of Bluffton! Tip: when we went the streets all remained open, although they were congested. There is free off-street parking with a three hour max.

Yelp
We went over to Blufton to walk around and see what was there. We had no idea there was a Farmer's Market today so was pleasantly surprised. The street is closed to traffic every Thursday afternoon for the market that runs from 2-7. There were all kinds of stands with delicious looking fresh produce, breads and baked goods, honey and meats. There were several stands with delectable offerings such as gumbo, fried okra, macaroni and cheese and sandwiches of pastrami and brisket. Everything smelled wonderful. We had a sample of the gumbo and decided to bring back some to our condo for dinner along with jalapeño cornbread we purchased from another vendor. The market was a fun and unexpected part of our day. It was very different from the farmer's markets we experience at home. Oh--- there were pralines too! Not as good as ones at Smith's in Santee, but still very good!

Yelp
We're lovin it!! Fresh produce on a gorgeous day in early April... What's not to love? In gorgeous downtown Bluffton to boot... Don't miss!!

Monica S.

Yelp
Thursday from 1-6 pm the street is packed with vendors and customers. Amazing environment, very family oriented and your pets are welcome as well. There is a wide variety of things to choose from. Make sure you have cash, although there are kiosks that accept debit/credit cards.

Angela N.

Yelp
We never miss a trip to the market when we are in town - it's fun for the whole family. Some of our favorites are the Wee Island Gumbo, the fresh baked breads near the front, the freshly made lemonade and the empanadas. You never know what you'll find - maybe a "regular" or stumble upon a new vendor. It's wise to take a walk around before buying as there are lots of produce vendors. Open on Thursdays from 2-7, but best to arrive early for better selection. We just went on 3/26 and it was the second week of opening.

Yelp
The #1 reason to go here: local flavor & prepared food. As a farmer's market junkie in Los Angeles, I wanted the experience in Bluffton so I could orient myself. I got a tubload more than I bargained for, and a nice walk down Calhoun Street too. Starting with the best: ~ Banana Pudding from Kinfolks Gullah Grubs & Seafood: After eating a yummy lunch at The Cottage (http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-cottage-bluffton#hrid:zQai80GtFGjECZ8-4IuDfw), I couldn't resist a sweet treat to end with. The vendor first chopped up the Nilla wafers to line the bottom of my cup, heaped on the prepared cream pudding mix, then garnished the top with freshly-cut bananas. The family setting up the market were really kind in answering my questions about gullah culture and cuisine. ~ Sangria from Old Town Dispensary: While they weren't technically a booth at the market, they were the backbone of the prepared food section. The perfect excuse to walk around with refreshing sangria in tow. ~ Peanut Brittle from Bluffton Brittle: A mere sampler, but the woman sure does love explaining her product! I also wanted to try the gumbo from We Island Gumbo N' Things, peanut butter pie and ice cream cookie sandwiches, scones from The Cottage, and the freshly-popped kettle corn. Alas, more stomachs than one person has in a vacation.

Yelp
Really nice. Great breads, fruit and vegetables and dog treats. We shopped a little early around 1 (starts at 2) the crowd was interesting. All dressed up for the market. Nice time if you can visit Blufton on a Thursday I recommend it!

Yelp
The Bluffton Farmer's Market was a pearl of a surprise. Great produce, some top-notch catering companies selling their foods, excellent baked goods, a catering truck selling large crepes. We drove in from Tybee, and it was worth it. The town of Bluffton is beautiful, with a river and historic buildings. Spend the afternoon.

Yelp
Delightful find!! Amazing homemade pastas, fresh produce, and kettle corn made on sight! Wish I lived here i'd come every Thursday!

Bill B.

Yelp
Recommended when we stopped on Tuesday to shop in stores. Glad we came back. This farmers market/festival type event is every Thursday at 2:00 in the main shopping district of artsy Bluffton. Wonderful local produce, delicious food and local vendors galore. Live music. Fun for all family. Neat shops too.
