People are so chilled and cool. Weather is a humidity and hot but store to store has an AC. Also they have so many restaurants and coffee shops. I drank a lot of Iced Coffee. My husband bought me a beautiful bracelet. I love a turquoise. Pretty color. They have a public restroom.

I am reviewing the food stall 25. A freaking amazing seafood quesadilla and jambalaya. So flavorful and delicious!

The French Market remains a must-do destination for first-time visitors, offering a layered experience of local food, history, and people-watching in the heart of New Orleans. If you’re seeking truly authentic crafts or local shopping, explore early and focus on gems like the farmers pavilion, Dutch Alley co-op, or specialty stands like Loretta’s pralines. The market may feel tourist-heavy at times, but its legacy, culinary highlights, and festive atmosphere keep it worth a visit.

This market is not very big, take 10min to go from the start to end, if … you are not looking around. As for shopping, they do have some unique vendors that are not selling those typical souvenirs, including original arts and handmade items. There are many food and drinks options around, also close to other stores, super convenient location & close to other attractions.

Loved the market. Mostly. Local cuisine was delish... Plenty of options for that hungry tummy. I really enjoyed visiting and purchasing items from the local vendors. A couple of really nice home made jewely booths. The one disappointment are the vendors selling so much crap that is made in China. I went there to buy things made locally or that represented New Orleans. Too many vendors selling cheap China crap they had nothing to do with NOLA. Fortunately, there was enough NOLA culture there to make it worth the walk through.

I loved the food here. Not a bad place in there and a good handful of options. There's a gluten free option there too. Some snacks, sweets, treats, and meal options. Of course drinks too. The pigeons aren't shy at all, so look out for that, but I'd go back frequently if I lived locally.

The New Orleans farmer’s Market is the oldest open market in the US. Originally an Indigenous Americans trading post, it has evolved into an eclectic collection of goods for sale. It’s part flea market, part food court and part craft fair. Definitely worth walk through, it spans six blocks parallel to the river.
