Nestled on a former farm along the Ring Road, this laid-back guesthouse offers cozy rooms with stunning ocean and mountain views, plus a hearty breakfast.
We had a pleasant experience here, and the rooms we got were absolutely pretty and a bonus. You could see the northern lights right outside ( a few feet away from the main reception building. Also we got the breakfast and it was really good. It's a bit pricey, but I think it's a pretty normal price for a hotel spread. Also, the bathroom floors were heated.

Nice and cosy place to stay on your way. Shared kitchen, tea, coffee and cookies were nice plus. I would recommend. They don’t like wearing shoes inside so it makes the place cosier.

The bed sheets are dirty; got pieces of actual dried up dirt; there are alive bugs and dead bugs in the room; i cannot describe how dirty the duvet is; walls are mouldy, etc. I don’t recommend it at all. It’s our second visit to Iceland and this has to be one of the worst stays we ever had.

We stayed in one of the huts which was a little dated. There was a kitchen that we weren't expecting and there were items that have clearly been left by other travellers (oil, herbs etc) which would have been useful if we'd been staying longer. I don't think they'd been checked for a while though as a lot of the stuff was out of date including the tea (October 2020) and coffee (October 2022) so I wouldn't necessarily rely on there being stuff there if you want to cook! In general there seemed to be a lack of attention to detail with things like that, but as a place to sleep for the night it was fine. |The bathroom could have done with both a heater and an extractor fan. There was only the one heater in the bedroom area so we were expecting to be cold at night but it was actually really warm. The views were incredible in the morning and location-wise it was perfect for exploring the area.|I would describe this place as budget accommodation. It was exactly what we needed for the one night we were in the area, but don't have high expectations going in and you won't be disappointed.

Room was good but breakfast was very poor...
It was also the first day of the year so we expected more...missed chance!

Stay away! Way over priced! You would be much better off staying in Vic! Same price & very nice hotels that include an awesome buffet breakfast. Don’t try & use the place to cook your own meals, I would not let my dog in that building! It was filthy! Should be 25.00 a night instead of over 300.00 a night. Unbelievable!

We rented via AirBnb and the pictures / descriptions were “fantastic”
We were expecting a very glamping experience, but it was not.
There are some smaller tents where there’s 2 single beds apart from each other, and a table light… that is it… no glamping at all!
It was cold but the portable heater handled well…
The bathrooms were clean, which it was good since there were shared…
I don’t get why the check in is extremely late tho (16:00 is quite too much)… and the breakfast is from 8:00, which is also very late….
The checkout is 10:30, so i would say there would be plenty of time for an early check in for the next guests.
Anyway… for the price I paid and from the pictures that were posted in the ad, I expected wayyyy more than what I received…
Don’t recommend the tents

It’s a nice concept, but not suitable for the Icelandic weather. It was very windy at night, and we couldn't sleep because it was extremely noisy. Additionally, they could have provided a larger heater in the tent and maybe added a chair or table. The washroom and kitchen are shared, but you have to walk outside to access them, which is inconvenient on a cold, rainy, and windy day in Iceland.
