Had a great lunchtime meal at the farmhouse today! We tried the BBQ pulled pork salad, coleslaw, cobbler for dessert, a chicken dish, plus drinks. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced also, coming to around $63 with tip which is very good value. Servers were also very polite and were quick on bringing our food. check this place out, it’s a lovely little restaurant :)

Google
Food was delicious and reasonable price, I got the buffalo chicken tenders which were delicious and came with a homemade biscuit. We all got the cobbler, I got the cherry my family got the blackberry, but we're fantastic with a flaky crust and nice and warm. And service was great.

This is a good little restaurant. Old style good cooking. Great food and dessert. Definitely worth a try. Parking is tricky during busy hours. All though there is large parking lot behind the Main Street businesses. Definitely worth a stop.

Google
I forgot to take pictures of the food, but rest assured it was very delicious. I had the chicken fried steak mashed potatoes, and gravy and the wife had The Farmhouse omelet with bacon and sausage and cheese. What I go back again for another meal? Heck yes!

Google
Food was okay, we ordered a omelet to share. It came with three small pancakes. The omelet was sparse on ingredients. This place came highly recommended, but to us it didn't meet up to expectations. The biscuit was really good.

Google
It was hard not to give them five stars because the food was delicious, and the service, once we finally made it to a table, was excellent. The wait, however, dropped them to four stars. We were told 30-45 minutes; over an hour later, we finally got a table. One suggestion to help with this - provide a menu to those who are waiting so that when they get seated, they already know what they want. This will help turn the tables faster and reduce wait times. The downtown construction didn't hurt. Parking was just a short walk from the parking lot.

Google
Great place with all homemade food! We had a delicious breakfast with veggies omelette that wasn’t greasy but full of veggies. Homemade pancakes and biscuits that were delicious not coming from a box nor chemical taste: very good! Selena, our waitress was very professional, helpful and very friendly. Place was packed but peaceful as there wasn’t a loud music. The owners know exactly what the customers need, bravo! We will be back!

Google
It’s always worth the wait! This is our favorite place to eat when we come to visit before heading over to Silver Dollar City! 😁 I had chicken n dumplings which was amazing. I had dental work done so I was bummed due to food limitations but they surpassed my expectations. The flavor was amazing. I haven’t had brown gravy in years that tasted that good. Everyone’s fried okra was fresh and hot right out of the fryer. Also their hand scrub in the restroom is incredible. I’m getting some for a family member who already has everything for Christmas. I’m so glad we went. I love my car scent that smells like the hand scrub in the bathroom too!!

Yelp
Great place for the family! I had the best cheeseburger, kids had pancakes with eggs and ate all of their food from the kids menu and my son and his wife had Buffalo chicken sandwiches. The service was on spot. Friendly personable waitress . A welcoming family resturant .I would definitely recommend this place! MC from SC.

Yelp
Went with friends, on a Friday night, crowded There were 5 of us and we were seated after 45 minute wait, at a table for 4... Megan was our server, she was busy, so no time for friendly chit chat, all biz. We had the chicken fried chicken. Came with mashed potatoes and we asked for the green beans. The beans were sweet, almost as if they used maple syrup on them. The fried chicken was crispy, basically the size of a medium chicken breast. Dessert was the cherry cobbler... With ice cream, which was really good. Besides the lack of friendly service, the food was good. Would I recommend this place, I would, even with the matter of fact interaction from our server...

Yelp
Food was good and plentiful. We had the Chicken Fried Steak dinner which came with mashed potatoes and gravy that were delicious. Biscuits a little doughy but big. Very big servings. Choice of sides. Green beans were average. Fried okra very good. But Now Drumroll Please !!!! Get the Blackberry cobbler with ice cream! So delicious!! Big servings. Suggest splitting if you have a big plate. The cobbler like your Grandma would make with dumplings plus crispy crust. 5 Stars for Cobbler. On the negative side the restaurant is difficult to get into with a wheelchair. No sidewalk ramp except at top of block and it's rough. The bathroom us completely inaccessible with a wheelchair. Be forewarned.

Yelp
My family enjoyed this place. It's one of those restaurants we come back to every time we are in Branson.

Yelp
Great food ! Great Service! Great place for a family gathering! Prices are reasonable and little to no wait even at a busy time on the day we all went. Lots of open parking and walk off food at the town center. Best of the best!

Yelp
Take away... it's a good thing I don't live here or I'd be in trouble. Haven't had chicken fried steak or biscuits in years (having gone gluten free), but on this trip I wanted to splurge and enjoy. Boy did I. Chicken fried steak and gravy was like I remember my mother making. Biscuit was light and fluffy and huge. Picked up a side of corn and fried okra. Both were so fresh and tasty. Split the boysenberry and peach cobblers with hubby (vanilla bean ice cream on top of course). They were amazing. Such good crust. Was so full, but still lusting over the giant root beer float at the table next to us. Service was excellent. Location was small, but welcoming.

Yelp
Great food great service. This is definitely a restaurant to revisit. Selina was our waitress. She was great. One of the best waitresses we have had in a long time. I got the fried chicken, half a chicken with mashed potatoes and fried okra. My wife got the hamburger and my daughter got the grilled chicken breast burger. Edger got the chicken fried steak with brown gravy. There were no complaints and no leftovers. There is a gift shop upstairs, small and quaint. You will love it here, I suggest giving it a try.

Yelp
We lived Farmhouse Restaurant so much we visited twice! All of our food was delicious and the service was great! Our favorite item on the menu was the blackberry cobbler.

Yelp
We love this place. It's a cute little place with a gift shop upstairs. Delicious food! We like the biscuits & gravy, omelets, and atmosphere. Service is good. Staff is kind and shows you southern hospitality.

Yelp
My family was traveling and 8 of us adults stopped in on a Sunday evening for dinner. The food, service, portions and prices were excellent. We ordered main dishes of pork chop, grilled chicken breast, fried chicken, and shrimp, all of which came with 2 sides and a huge biscuit. The drinks were large and served in mason jars. Felicia was our great waitress. Before dinner we had time to go upstairs to their nice gift shop. They many good gifts to choose from and lots of very funny dish towels!

Yelp
We had two entrees: the pot roast sandwich and fried chicken. Pot roast was excellent. Fried chicken was good, not great, a bit on the saltier side and slightly dry (breast). Potatoes were also salty and too doused in country gravy. Sometimes less is more. Very nice hosts and waiters which more than made up for it however.

Yelp
Nice salad. BLT was good though bread was a tad greasy. Crispy bacon. Delicious fries were piping hot.

Yelp
Ate here for breakfast while visiting Branson. Loved it!! Would definitely go back and would definitely recommend. Just had a normal breakfast of eggs and bacon and French Toast but, it was so good. Service was excellent!!! Check it out!!

Yelp
In my opinion one of the best cafe's in Branson is the Farmhouse in the old Branson downtown. It's a small cafe. It's not fancy by any means. The parking is plentiful ( if you are the only car in town). Otherwise curbside parking is scarce. The service is friendly and professional. They keep check on your needs. My wife ordered Ham & scrambled eggs with country style potatoes. I ordered the chicken fried steak & eggs with country potatoes. Both meals came with fresh homemade biscuits & gravy. I tried to find something to complain about. But couldn't. Everything was great.

Yelp
If you are looking for a great Customer Experience go somewhere else. I can understand this place is busy and it's the Christmas season but that doesn't mean you should be disrespectful to the elderly that are waiting to dine at your establishment. We waited over an hour to eat breakfast and the hostess kept yelling at us to get out of the way. We were trying to stay lined up by the wall but she wanted by handicapped husband to go upstairs to get out of the way!!! Serval people kept coming u complaining about waiting and she would somehow find them a table. after seeing this several times we handed our buzzer back to her and said we were leaving. No sorry, let me see where you are in line, nothing. We will to be back if this is how they treat their elderly customers. (We are local and dined here every time we were in town)

Yelp
Very cozy family restaurant in Historic Downtown. The food was fresh and well prepared. Our server was great and made us feel like home. I had the Catfish Sandwich that was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Wife a BLT and a very tasty vegetable beef soup that was one step away from a stew. Highly recommend! Oh, and the Pink Lemonade was great!

Yelp
We walked in, stepped up to the counter, and were greeted by a nice young lady with a great smile. The lady advised us it would be 15 min wait for a party of 4. She told us the upstairs store was open for shopping and sitting while we waited on our table. The decor was vintage, down-home rustic, and very welcoming. It made you want to kick your shoes off and just get comfortable. The best part of this 2nd experience here still remains the same "Moist Pancakes" with just the right amount of brown butter edges. My husband loves the country ham and will always order 2 carbs, Biscuit and Pancakes. He can't not enjoy one with other the greatness of the other. If you're looking for your grand parents old school comfort cooking, this by far is your place.

Mark W.

Yelp
There was a 15 minute wait, but instead of having us stand aside, they let us go upstairs to their gift shop. It was so fun to look at things, that the time we waited seemed like 2 minutes. The restaurant is not large, and there is not a lot of room, but they packed us in very comfortably. I ordered the 1/2 fried chicken meal with all dark meat. So 2 drumsticks and 2 thighs. I got mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans. I didn't think I would be able to finish it all, but it was so good that I cleaned the plate. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I will go back next time I am in town.

Yelp
May 30, 2024 and we went in for lunch. The place is busy, but the table turnover is quick. The staff works efficiently. The chicken fried steak sandwich was a good size portion, tender, flavorful, but salty. The fried catfish sandwich was also a good size portion and it was tasty. The fried okra was good as was the biscuits and gravy (I would have liked larger pieces of sausage in the gravy). The iced tea and sweet tea were both really good, and they serve coke products too. Staff was friendly and quick. There is also a gift shop upstairs.

Yelp
I came here looking for a place to eat breakfast as amusement park food well was not enough and needed something hardy to eat. I ended up going in town. Parking is free for the first 2 hours and that is good enough to take a look around the town and walk off the food. I ordered the chicken fried steak with country potatoes and biscuit with the gravy. The food ended up coming fast and this place is a get in and out as after I got done with my hour walk, this place got packed. I am sure with the locals and tourist like me. You do get a card to come back if you spend $100 dollars, you get $10 off your meal. Well unfortunately, I could not come back here 10 times to eat. The food ended up being great and I enjoyed the food.

Yelp
A MUST!!!! Come here hungry and you'll only need one meal for the day! Can't say enough good things about this place. It is always crowded, so prepare to wait. There is a cute store area to hang out in while you wait. The food here is plentiful and very filling. Drinks are served in cute mason jars and cups. Service was top-notch. It does take a while to get your food, but it's cooked to order and so worth the wait. I had chicken fingers, okra and fries. It was enough for 2! Everything tasted so good and was very hot and fresh. The owner came around and talked to us for awhile and she was super sweet. Great place to eat that you just have to go to!!! Totally worth the wait. A+++

Linda S.

Yelp
The food is delicious. Only complaint is that it is so good that this small place is to crowded. Down home good cooking. Derves 5 stars.

Yelp
Friendly service, great food. Coffee was great too! The steak sandwich was reasonably priced and filling. Ask for ranch, it's delish! Okra was the best I've ever had.

Yelp
Great breakfast food. Great atmosphere. Great service. Biscuits were fluffy and the gravy was tasty! Although the restaurant was very busy, the staff was kind, focused, and on time. Great start to our day!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and delightful. We were lucky to get seated after a 30 min wait around 6:30 pm on a Friday. Our table was in the back near the kitchen, so we were entertained by a couple of the cooks while they prepared the dishes to serve. Abby was great, kept our drinks filled, and was prompt in serving. The fried chicken was some of the best we've tasted, and the gravy on the mashed potatoes was excellent. No room for dessert. We were also entertained by the dish towels with funny slogans hanging around the restaurant for sale. Go early and go twice. Great atmosphere. This restaurant is the total package.

Yelp
Don't leave Branson without eating here! Amazing food. Amazing servers. Fair prices. Blackberry cobbler makes your eyes roll in the back of your head.

Yelp
I'm not sure how this place is so busy or has so many stars. We came for a mid-week breakfast and I honestly don't remember a meal this disappointing. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table in the crowded and chaotic dining room. The server was very nice but it honestly took another 30 minutes after ordering to get our food. The meal was not worth the wait. Oatmeal: basic and a bit cold. Pancakes: tough and tasteless. Omelette: not much flavor and overcooked. Biscuits: dry and not worth eating. Very disappointing. Cannot recommend.

Yelp
This little spot in the heart of the downtown area (on Main Street) is great. Parking can be a challenge but that serves this place well as it's petty small and always jam packed. HOWEVER, if you score a parking place anywhere downtown do yourself a favor and brave the steep street to grab a bite to eat at this corner charmer. The food is very Americana and done well. The service staff somehow navigate the smooshed tables to deliver your meal AND check on you, refill drinks, and even share some other info about THEIR favorite shops you should make time for in this fun area. If you dig "old fashioned" type stuff... the whole downtown will be your jam with Farmhouse Restaurant as a jump off point. ENJOY!

Yelp
Very good breakfast nice location, friendly wait staff. Big biscuits I had ham and cheese, omelette, biscuit and sausage gravy with coffee. they had a nice general store upstairs my wife went and purchased some items.

Kris M.

Yelp
The food was amazing! Fried chicken so tasty! Good crust and juicy! My husband loved his pork tenderloin also! Flavorful green beans and potatoes! The baked apples were so yummy and perfect on my biscuit! Service was amazing!

Yelp
Very busy at 11am. Gift shop was nice to wait in while we waited for our table. Service was a tad slow and our waitress seemed very distracted. Could be because health dept was there visiting. Food was decent and portions were big. Country fried steak was great. Biscuits and Gravy were slightly disappointing. Great location downtown.

Denise S.

Yelp
The food and services was great. Wish we lived closer, we would make this a regular stop. Go early because it gets packed! The portions are generous and the prices very reasonable. You will not be disappointed.

Robyn S.

Yelp
Service and food were awesome! Get there early or you will have a huge wait but it was worth it. All portions are huge.
google avatar

Stefanie H.

Yelp
Food and service was great. It is a small, clean place but everyone is moving fast. We had breakfast and would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Logan J.

Yelp
Walked in and was seated, that isn't to be expected. We were told we had "perfect timing" as several tables cleared all at once. Plan for a wait most visits. Ordered chicken and dumplings, hubby had the pork chop -AWESOME!! Hot apples as a side is a must, and don't skip the cobbler. Hope to be back soon, first stop for us in the spring.
google avatar

Jason K.

Yelp
Really great place to eat especially for breakfast. We try to go here every time we are in Branson

Rita S.

Yelp
Best chicken tenders ever. Made in the restaurant fresh & hand battered. So large, I could only eat 1 1/2. And don't forget the cobbler with ice cream!
google avatar

Jess P.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast, that menu is quite simple and small. I ordered the 2eggs scrambled with cheese, it was cooked more like a flat omelet definitely wasn't scrambled! Like where is the fluffy egg mountains? Almost tasted like it was the carton of mixed eggs, not fresh cracked eggs. Bacon was decent but on the crunchy side, I prefer them a lil more chewy. Biscuits was super dry, and cold so the butter didn't melt on them, the gravy made them more edible. Potatoes were good but not seasoned fresh out the grease so trying to salt them at the table just didn't work, salt slid right off into the plate. Service was rushed, and got the since of annoyance towards tourists guests. Coffee wasn't refilled, or offered. The place is pretty small, luckily we didn't have to wait, but overall nothing to really come back to, would've been happier at a chain breakfast restaurant like bob evans or dennys. Oh yea, asked for napkins, there was 4 of us, she drops off 2 single sheets of napkins!! Like are u serious? Just made no sense.

Steven B.

Yelp
Loved this restaurant. Great homemade food. Everything is from scratch. Had to wait for a table over 30 minutes but food came out quick. Would go back for sure. Had chicken fried steak and it was so tender. Real mashed potatoes and gravy. Excellent biscuit.
google avatar

Alison L.

Yelp
The food was amazing!! The staff were funny and friendly! There was a cute gift shop upstairs as well!

Yelp
We like country cooking and enjoy trying new places. This place had good food with good flavor. Our only complaint was that the serving sizes aren't very big. However, the whole family lived it and we ended up with no leftovers. If your intown to visit you should give this place a try, it won't disappoint. If we are ever in town again we will be going here again. Maybe next time I'll try the onion rings and the pie.

Yelp
Great vibe, food was really good. Nice gift shop upstairs. Staff was great . We would def return next time in town.

Yelp
Arrived on a Thursday afternoon at 1:30 pm. Was given a pager and wait time was 35-40 minutes. Visited a cafe next door and got espresso drinks. Visited the Farmhouse gift shop upstairs and bought neat gifts. As promised, pager went off about 40 minutes later. Each table was filled with hungry customers. Was seated in a cozy and country style dining area with lots of cottage decor. Servers served us with a smile as thus took our drink order, gave us our drinks, promptly took our breakfast order, while juggling other guest orders. Our server graciously gave us extra drinks, napkins, and checked on us frequently. Husby and I were famished and we both ordered the steak and eggs special. Husby got side of potatoes while I got side of pancakes. In spite of the frenetic activity between servers and full house of customers and food orders, our breakfast came fairly quickly. The Angus steak and eggs was worth the wait. Eggs were prepared over easy with a huge warm biscuit and gravy. The pancakes were soft and fluffy. We ordered our steaks medium rare and they arrived perfectly cooked. The steak is one of the best breakfast steaks we've had so far. Steak was tender, juicy, moist and had a charcoal grilled flavor on the outside. We also tried their coffee and orange juice. We will definitely return to Farmhouse Restaurant.

Melanie M.

Yelp
Great food, friendly servers, cute gift shop! We especially liked the blackberry cobbler.
