"A few minutes drive away from the Marin Farmer's Market, there’s Farmshop, where you can stock up on baked goods and fancy snacks for the house."

The food was very good. Super appetizers (we had avocado “hummus” and chicken mousse, plus “crudites”), juicy chicken. However the prices are outrageous. You pay for bread ($7), and as one extra profiterole was added for the table as we were celebrating a birthday- add $3. Nothing is gifted. Side dishes: add to the already high price. Plus almost too attentive service, replenishing wine glasses even when not requested, so we could order more! The decor is nothing to write home about.

Seriously a hidden gem at a suburban mall with fresh farm to table food. We shared several dishes and one was better than the next. The sticky bun and smoked salmon were standouts. There was a farmers market going on right outside the restaurant which fit in perfectly with the theme. Fantastic stop leaving from SF and headed out for wine tasting.

We gathered for a cousins reunion. Chef sent out many dishes and they all were excellent. Service was perfect.i will go back again soon!

Cool space. Visually very cool! And nice layout. Food was solid. Recommend the oysters, and pizza. Chicken rice dish was solid, but not great. Kombucha was cool, but not mind blowing. A bit pricey for the portions. Loved the host; she was able to help me with a table last minute with no res. Thank you!!!! Server was solid; team service in some ways. Bar with food service, cool open kitchen, and plenty of tables. Private room for events and an amazing covered patio!

The Farmshop in Marin is a great spot for dinner in Larkspur! The restaurant has a wonderful open kitchen with an open hearth and a nice long bar that has a couple TV’s showing the latest sporting events. There’s ample indoor seating and outdoor seating. Food wise, the pizzas are really good. We had a few starters like the Avocado Hummus and the marinated olives and we also ordered the Sweet Potato dish to share. The latter was excellent! All of the dishes we had were delicious. Service was good and the staff were all friendly.

Great spot for lunch in Larkspur landing, lovely fresh local food, the octopus cervish and smoked salmon delicious.

Google
I came here for a private event and the service was top notch. The staff made sure to interact with everyone during the cocktail hour, and they showed the sense of urgency that you want to see when food is being served. I tried the After Ferry #2 cocktail and found it to be extremely refreshing. The food and flavors of everything definitely paired well.

We were visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this true treasure! The atmosphere was elegant, yet relaxed. The food was spectacular! The best fresh pasta I’ve ever had. Strongly urge you to try the Mount Shasta Morel Mushroom pasta!! And the service was positively exceptional! Our server Courtney eloquently described everything on the menu. He also had an incredible personality and genuine warmth and kindness. Overall, I couldn’t give a higher recommendation to anyone visiting Marin.

Yelp
Best thing first: service was great. Waitstaff was competent, courteous, knowledgeable. But the food? Meh. Soggy pizza crust -- and this was my second time experiencing this. If pizza is your main menu item, how can you not master a good crust? Seems elementary and absolutely crucial. Salads are okay but nothing special. All in all, a pretty mediocre spot.

Yelp
Visited this place for brunch with friends. We didn't make any reservations and were able to get seats, but I recommend making a reservation because the restaurant got very busy later on. So, the food was delicious; everything we tried was amazing. Service was slow, but it was compensated for by the attentive service and good atmosphere, along with the wonderful food.

Yelp
It had been awhile since we ate at Farmshop. (Covid keeping me from my usual commute which made it convenient) We decided to give the place a try when shopping locally, and we're really glad we did. Seems like they really stepped up their brunch game. The pizzas were as good as they always were, but it seemed like there were more options now, like the delicious mushroom frittata we tried. The service and ambiance haven't changed at all, and that's a good thing. We won't wait quite so long before coming back.

Yelp
This is a nice restaurant in a nice location of Marin. You would think it should all be better! We were there to celebrate a birthday and while I cannot put my finger on anything specific, I can say that we will not be back there anytime soon. We had drinks form the bar. one standard cocktail and one specialty drink, neither was very special. Food and service are both average. Portions are a bit below normal for Marin standards but still ok. Service is slow yet rushed. By that I mean it took a long time for them to take our order then the food arrived quickly! Also note that the menu online says "today's menu" it is not the same as the restaurant. So make sure what you see online will be served when you arrive.

Yelp
I thought this Farmshop is identical to the one I've visited in Santa Monica but it wasn't. During weekends, this place is packed. I would definitely recommend making reservations for any size party if you want to get seated. We came here to celebrate our Mom's 70th birthday and it was overall a nice experience. We order a bottle of Domaine Collin and started with the burrata and pears (which they don't have on the menu now) and olives. I had a pizza with arugula on it... it was alright - nothing mind blowing. We ended up sharing the sticky bun as a dessert for my mom, that was good. Fair warning - busy times, longer wait for food. It was during the summer so perhaps they were understaffed so just in case you're hangry... just beware!

Yelp
Beautiful space, nice mall, service was good, we were a large group of about a dozen, timing was good bringing that much food out at once. Appetizers were really nice - avocado hummus a standout - lovely cheese board also. I had a simple pizza which had great puffy crust but pretty soggy base alas, sides were yum. Cocktails good also - I would recommend if I happened to be over that way again as a nice lunch spot while shopping.

Yelp
First off, kudos to our server who was knowledgeable with all the dishes and was attentive. The best meal we ordered was the pizza. The pasta is ok, small portion and the steak is average. What makes this review 3 stars is additional charge called Small Business Charge around 4%. I know about San Francisco's health charge but Marin? I have not seen this before. Is this a mandated charge? I hope management clarifies what these charges are for... maybe post before people walk in? In the menu at least? I think yelp should also have this as one of the category after "accept reservations" the next line should say "add on tax in bill". Just a suggestion!

Yelp
Been coming here FOR YEARS. Love to unwind at the bar after a particularly hard day... or week. Enjoyed an Admiral (SO SAD THEY TOOK IT OFF THE MENU, yet so glad they let me order off menu & Red Kuri soup recently. Lovely addition of spiced cashews to the soup (not croutons.) I will be indexing ahead of thanksgiving when menu planning. Service is always impeccable at the bar. Add to list if you're waiting for commute traffic to die down or for a first date... Noise 9/10 Friday Atmosphere 10/10 easy to be alone or w/ company Very welcoming Food 9.5/10 Spiced cashews in soup!!! Genius!

Yelp
Great spot for lunch! We enjoyed their brunch menu on Saturday after walking around the farmers market. We arrived before the crowds but this restaurant is huge. The aesthetic is inviting, modern but comfortable. Service was lovely from start to finish. We had our 2 year old in a stroller but was quickly offered a high chair and a chance to stash the stroller away from our table. The staff were really nice and friendly with us and our son, very much appreciated! The food was excellent! Everything was beautifully plated, fresh and bright flavors. The poached chicken salad and eggs dish were our favorites. Well seasoned and spiced. The cacio e pepe vinaigrette dressing on the salad was amazing. And the chicken was divine. We will definitely be back! The menu has something for everyone!

Yelp
Food was great! Service attentive. But ambiance was loud had difficulty hearing server and my fellow guests. Celebrated a birthday. Ordered chicken livers that were the highlight of evening. Beer salad and avocado hummus all delicious and non alcoholic margaritas. A pizza that was interesting but yummy. Also two fish entrees - trout for two and salmon both tasty but thought for $88 the. Trout was over priced given portion, but it was flavorful with pickled veg and slaw. Dessert good. In all a good time was had by all. Though we told server was my friend's birthday it went unrecognized which I felt was odd.

Yelp
Got off the ferry at Larkspur Landing and decided to grab a cocktail before jumping onto the SMART train home. Easy walk from the ferry landing. Place was pretty busy but we found two seats at the beautiful bar. Once we ordered our cocktails figured we should grab a quick snack but were concerned about missing our train. Bartender recommended the pizzas saying they come out quickly. Sure enough our Wild Mushroom pizza came out quickly and was delicious. Our two cocktails weren't so bad either. Once done it was an easy 8 minute walk to the train station. Good cocktails, good food and d friendly staff... will come back.

Yelp
We came for brunch for the first time this month. Loved it - especially the patio outside (pro tip - make a reservation on Open Table.) Service was warm, friendly and quick! We didn't wait long for our food and everything was delicious. We ordered: Shakshuka Smoked salmon California Tomato Pizza Ezzo Pepperoni Pizza Citrus cheesecake Oreo crusted profiteroles This will be a repeat visit place.

Yelp
Was in town for business and my wife and I met a friend there from the area. Large expansive place with well done, tasteful decor, friendly and helpful staff and very good food - if you like tapas style w well thought out flavor profiles, and are keen on more adventurous dishes, this is a fantastic spot. Will be back when I'm back in NorCal!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was delicious! The service was great. Covered patio. We sat inside. Big bar and lounge area. I would come back here for another delicious meal.
google avatar

Daria G.

Yelp
I've had unpleasant service here a couple of times, felt like I wasn't welcome there. The food is ok but not something I want to come back for, I only tried a few items on the menu. 3.4 stars for me but I like to round up with a benefit of the doubt and a possibility of staff having a hard day(s).
google avatar

Ricky L.

Yelp
Great spot to have some drinks and their pizza was delicious. I loved when the pizza has some charred parts in the crust. We had the fennel sausage and wild mushrooms, both were great options but the wild mushrooms one was the winner. Don't order the hamachi appetizer, four slices of hamachi for $22 is just not worth it. Definitely a great place is you are around Larkspur.

Yelp
As a past employee here for 2.5 years I can say this place is truly wonderful. I know a lot of my reviews have been good but it's because I've been lucky trying good places. Farmshop serves the best quality foods, farm to table many items from local farmers markets. SERVICE: Farmshop prides themself in good service and connecting with guests and whenever I dine there I leave very happy and satisfied Ambiance: The restaurant is beautiful inside and out with a lovely dining room, and a newly remodeled outdoor patio great for all condition. - Farmshop has 4 menus each day. Brunch on weekends or lunch during the week, a mid day menu, dinner, and a dessert menu - Be sure to check out the little market inside or coffee area for some unique treats

Yelp
Food is fresh, tasty & presents well! Staff is very professional and the area is lively! We always enjoy our time here and order shareable items. The shareable cheese assortment comes with this incredible hearty bread that made me regret ordering the Rueben since it's on the same bread. The beet salad is fire no doubt! Between the beet salad and cheese tray we didn't need the sandwich. Maybe seems like a small amount of food for two but it's hearty and very filling.
google avatar

Loella D.

Yelp
I enjoyed my experience here but I didn't leave blown away enough to return. The service was great and the space itself is beautiful, and the presentation lends to the 4 stars. The avocado hummus is a good starter, and I enjoyed the chocolate tart the most. The salmon was just pretty good to me.

Yelp
My daughter and her friends were home from college and decided last minute to take advantage of dad's wallet. Last minute notice did not allow us to make reservations and the weather in San Francisco was really overcast and cold. Found reservations on yelp and drove through commuter traffic arriving five minutes late. I didn' t drink given that the 3 21 year olds had to filter through the lengthy cocktail list on dad's dime. Bottle of sparkling water was $12 by the way. This decade old establishment still is beautiful and holds its own with its wood fired pizza and Napa style cuisine with locally raised and grown meats and vegetables. While the girls enjoyed more of a liquid based dinner full of appetizers and a shared pizza, I had the squid ink and crab spaghetti which was nice and spicy. I think next time I will try the pork chops but I had already eaten a large burger for lunch. The avocado hummus served with a multigrain flatbread is a star item. i have to say the peanut brittle on the the Cheeseboard was a little bit of amuse bouche for me, I can't lie. Oh and if you have a well-behaved dog this is probably one of the more #petfriendly establishments in the Bay Area

Yelp
I've dined at this restaurant several times during my visits to Marin (not on my own accord), and it consistently falls into the "just fine" category for me. It's not exceptional, but it's far from terrible. This makes it suitable for a business lunch or a post-shopping meal at the Marin County Mart. I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here. During my recent visit with a group, we tried a variety of items from the menu before ordering our main entrees. The Lemon pizza stood out as a decent and unique option. The lemon flavor wasn't overpowering and blended nicely with the cheese. For my main dish, I opted for the Angry Crab Rigatoni Nero. While I appreciated the spiciness, I wished it had a bit more heat, but that's a matter of personal preference. Overall, I found it enjoyable. One drawback was their inability to remove the walnuts from the rigatoni, so I just ate around them. I may be biased, but I think walnuts in this pasta was an unnecessary ingredient. After the waiter mentioned they couldn't remove the walnuts, I did notice that a lot of their dishes - more than a typical restaurant - incorporate seeds/ nuts. It's almost as if they were challenged to figure out different ways to include them in their food. Long story short, if you have a serious seed or nut allergy your food options are limited here.
google avatar

Kelly K.

Yelp
This place can be so nice but I'm always left a little unimpressed. First town I had the angry crab pasta which was fine. This time I had the viognier on tap which was ok and I paired it with the scallop pasta. Both were very sweet which ended up being too sweet. The scallop with the sauce and bacon was a little too sweet but I recommend it over the angry crab. I say for 15 minutes before a waiter came up
google avatar

Mara M.

Yelp
Cool bar to grab drinks at. Our bartender/server was very personable and the general ambiance was trendy and nice. The food was not great for the price point. The hamachi was only 3 slices for $22 and nothing special. The avocado hummus was bland and the crisps were not very exciting either. Would come back for drinks only or maybe a pizza.
google avatar

Corey S.

Yelp
The food was ok, I was not impressed. We ate on the outside covered patio and it was clean and comfortable. It was raining out but was warm inside. Our waiter was awesome so the service was great. I might come back to try something different but I have other options in Marin and in the Landing area.
google avatar

Courtney S.

Yelp
Came here at 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon with a reservation and was seated promptly. I sat outside on the patio which was nice. It took a while for someone to come help me but when they did, they were very friendly. I had a glass of orange wine with the chicory salad. I didn't love the salad, but The orange wine was really nice.

Yelp
Stopped in on our way home from SFO for Sunday lunch. We ordered roast beet salad to share, Zubairs Shakshuka, and a caramelized Meyer lemon pizza. The pizza was the hit of the day, unique and delicious. I love the Shakshuka, Shirley, not as much (too many peppers). She ordered affogato and I , the profiteroles. No sharing. The server seemed to disappear from time to time, although our food came out on a timely basis.

William K.

Yelp
Over priced, small portions, and noisy. A martini is $22, glass of cheap wine is $16, really? No bread with dinner, how cheesy is that? Entrees the size of appetizers, at these prices? Mediocre pizza for $24? Just go somewhere else. All this place is about is ripping off their customers without delivering anything that's really stand out. They try to be trendy on the food but it's a major miss. Go to any number of real restaurants and you'd do better.
google avatar

Karrie R.

Yelp
My family stayed the night at the Marriott just a short walk from this restaurant. We had high expectations based on the atmosphere and ambience. I love the fact that this is a farm to table kind of place. I appreciate that. They support local businesses. The service was great, but the food was disappointing unfortunately only one out of five of us enjoyed our meal.

Yelp
Farmshop Larkspur Landing CA Sat 10/7/23 At the Bar! The Tiki Drink! Golden hour! © New American Cuisine! From Larkspur Landing, ferries take you back to San Francisco, over the SF Bay, 12.6 mi to SF Ferry Bldg. Mount Tamalpais is 5.5 mi away. Stinson Beach 8.2 mi. I find myself at Larkspur Landing. I walk around & spot the Farmshop. There's a wait list & it's sweltering at the outside terrace & inside tables are booked but the bar seat opens up ~ hooray! I walk by the fire pit flames & enter conditioned space, here, I like it the most! Open Fire in Saturday's SF heat! It's the restaurant's signature flame. Oki! First things first, hydration! I've noticed thorough dedication in the way David mixes cocktails, little taste on the wooden stick to make sure it's right! Followed by a nod of approval or a puzzled face:) He's mixologist & his own judge, if it's not quite alright, then it's remade, or it goes back into shaker! Yelp
I wish I could give Farmshop, Chef Brian and the entire staff more than 5 stars!! To say I was blown away, is an understatement. From the welcoming host staff, to the ambience and the incredible food, my family and I left Farmshop beyond satisfied and with full bellies. We came from Roseville (approx. 2 hr drive), and will definitely be returning in the very near future!

Yelp
Ordered takeout from this place for a large party. Slight upscale Californian cuisine Meyer lemon pizza: not too citrusy but nice with the pesto Wild mushroom pizza: wished it was a bit more mushroom forward, but still nice earthy flavors Chicken liver mousse: delicious! Would get again Di Stefani burrata: good burrata but nothing special Toy box carrots: reminded me of ABC kitchen in NY, but on the sweeter side. Lollipop kale: tasted like fried chips! Angry crab Nero rigatoni: Had a bit of heat in it, but nice flavors Overall, a solid restaurant good for a special occasion. The Meyer lemon pizza and chicken liver mousse are what I would reorder!

Yelp
In town for Christmas, wonderful brunch. I highly recommend the shashuka, kiddo had French toast and loved it.

Yelp
I went here for my friends birthday. We took him out. He plays for a famous band and he loved it, it was simply beautiful. The food is amazing. The kitchen is open. The service is classy, and I would highly recommend the lemon Gorgonzola pizza and a fine wine. For dessert; Affogato.

Dana M.

Yelp
This is the cheese board appetizer. $23, are they skimping on the cheese? You decide.

Yelp
The food my best friend & ordered was amazing! I would definitely come back and try other foods. The cafe was great and loved sitting ou

Yelp
Started with oysters, hamachi and fennel sausage. The hamachi is out of this world, oysters are fresh and awesome. The fennel sausage was 3/5 for me. I like their wild mushroom pizza better. Also tried the steak.. it was 2/5. Would not be ordering the steak again. I'm giving them a 4.00 purely for the hamachi and oysters. Service was also average.

Yelp
My daughter and I went for a birthday lunch yesterday, and were seated at Table 3 with E, where we experienced the WORST service. Not so much because we waited over 20 minutes for 2 coffees to arrive, but mostly due to his rude, indifferent, couldn't care less attitude throughout the whole meal. The service just did not match the lovely ambience of the restaurant and the DELICIOUS food and the high pricing!! It spoiled what would otherwise have been a lovely experience. The only time he spoke to us was when we were paying the tab to try & explain the poor service. Guess he hoped for a decent tip. When my daughter attempted to get his attention during the long wait, she caught his eye, and he looked the other way. SO RUDE. 2 stars are for the yummy squash soup and nice hostess!! Zero for the waiter.
google avatar

Ken K.

Yelp
Delicious food! It's not the kind of restaurant I'd recommend for folks on a budget, but if you're in the mood to splurge on a deliciously prepared piece of broccoli for $14 or so, then this is the place for you! We ordered a few small dishes to share along with one main (the gnocchi) and the mushroom pizza. The gnocchi was the only dish that disappointed us, as the abundance of black truffles on top didn't translate to delicious bites of food in the way we were expecting/ hoping. Drinks were good, as was the dessert. The 4 stars is just for the food. The ambience was a solid 4 stars, as was the service, though.
google avatar

Robert W.

Yelp
Well I've eaten here enough to say Farmshop slings some good and consistent tasting grub. The times I've been here have all been seated up at the long bar top, where I find service very friendly and prompt. When I've asked for recommendations on the menu they've steered me to very tasty items. Overall I've found you can't miss on pretty much everything. 5 star dishes I would repeatedly order from the entree's list are Angry Crab Spaghetti Nero, Herb Roasted 'Pasturebird' Chicken, Rustichella D'abruzzo Orecchiette and the Housemade Pastrami & Eggs. Items from the Pizza choices definitely go with the Ezzo Pepperoni, and the Radicchio Marmalade. Don't skip on the dessert choices such as the Sticky Toffee Pudding, Gelato di Bufala and Yuzu Citrus Roll Cake you'll be pleased you ordered anyone of these. If you choose not to eat anything Farmshop is a good location to chill and grab a glass of wine.

Yelp
Our hostess was a gem but one of the waiting staff was a bit rude in grabbing our plates, not asking if we were done. Our big group (all people of color) that was celebrating a birthday on a saturday night. The portions were a bit small for the price and the quality of the food was mid.
google avatar

Carmencita S.

Yelp
I always enjoy coming here. Food is consistently good. The drinks are also good especially now that they have zero proof cocktails. Two people were seated at 5:30 and left at 7:30pm. Two hours for a simple dinner is too long. We weren't too hungry so we ordered the burrita and the angry crabs to share. Had gelato for dessert. Granted the restaurant was packed for Mother's Day. I think the service could be informed. You could turn the tables around faster!
google avatar

Yelp
Loved this place! I had the best vegetarian entree. Vibe was cool, Mocktails were delicious. Will be back soon.

Yelp
I couldn't order what I really wanted due to a procedure I was having a few days later. What I did order was very, very good. Quality was high, service was very good, Liz was our server. We had a cocktail and it was very good. Would like to try again when I didn't have to worry about what I could and couldn't eat. Will come back again

Yelp
Went here for lunch. Good service, sophisticated ambience (particularly for a suburban shopping center), appealing menu. Wish the food were better - or prices lower ($80 pre-tip for two people to split a starter, entree and side dish, with no drinks, is steep). But they were packed so we may just be picky.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute brunch/lunch spot for a birthday celebration! So many cool elements around the restaurant: open kitchen, beautiful furniture and very fun decor. There's even a small curated market in the back of the restaurant where you can purchase sauces, chocolates and mixes. Our party of 3 ordered a coppa picante pizza to share. Just the right amount of kick from the peppers and the texture of the dough was perfect. I also had the pastrami and eggs. It was delicious and had generous portions of eggs, pastrami and charred broccolini. I ate the leftovers for lunch the next day and they still tasted amazing!

Yelp
End of being a loyal customer today. The service could not have been more lame. We sat at the bar but the bar tender, Juan Carlos, gave all this attention and time to the other side of the bar visiting and chatting with folks. We needed water, drinks and would have ordered more food. There was someone near us checking stock on the wine frig. We asked if he was working there. He said yes and that he was the Bar Manager. We said we where having trouble getting our waiters attention and service. And our need of water. He did get us water refills but seemed to fail seeing the bigger picture of lax service down the bar. Our waiter came around after a bit, we shared our feelings of not getting attentive service and our wish's to get the check. After grabbing it for us we waited about 10 minute for him to return until we stood up and walked down to him. He brought us the slips to sign and talked about how we could have had more drinks and food. He acknowledge that his service was lacking, apologized and said in the future mention it and he would get us a drink. And he also apologized for the manager not helping us better because he is new. Pretty silly. All disappointing but to top it after walking the mall the bartender and a friend walked by us with him complaining about getting a poor tip. More like a better tip than his poor service. Bummer, used to be top notch service, food and drinks. Time to just keep going to The Watershed.

Yelp
Only reason I would like to rate this place a 4 woulda been some of the staff members. Semi rude... Also It's one thing to give the customer an option to tip well... and another to force them. I paid in cash and was shorted my change... and to top it off instead of any 1$ bills I was only given 5, 10 and 20s back on a 20$ bill. Ok fine a 5$ tip whatever that's 25% for literally saying hi, take my order, and hand me a bill. nothing else nothing above and beyond. Does that warrant 25% no but I would have given it if you didn't FORCE me to. If u handed me all 1s I would have left them all but you handed me a 5... expecting me to leave it. Nah... I asked for 5 1$ bills and u get 15-20% if I wanted I could left none since it was nearly a to-go order. The expectations from mediocre service are what get me. Don't force my hand. And don't talk crap about your customers right in front of them...laughing about the change given back and betting if I'll leave anything. I'm a great tipper....if you let me be in charge of it. On the up side the pizza was incredible. I really like this place. The vibe and ambiance, the super healthy veggies and options and unique varieties of flavors. Their drinks all look beautiful and delicious as well. I'll be back. Maybe not on a Friday... but I'll be back.

Yelp
The meal at this "$$$" restaurant was extremely average. Although the pepperoni pizza was tasty, I could find it for half the price elsewhere. The Meyer Lemon Caramelized Pizza was decent, but not outstanding. The Wild Mushroom pizza appeared tacky and was overly covered in arugula. The Angry Crab pasta was bland and the portion was really small for $36. Our waitress was polite and attentive. But the other servers who brought our food appeared to be rushing and slammed the plates down on the table. The ambiance and space were good.
