"The original Punta Higuero Lighthouse was built by Spain in 1892, then redone in the '20s by the U.S. government. There's no effort involved in getting here and scoping it out, even if you don't fancy yourself a lighthouse aficionado; in fact, it's unmissable when you're hanging out in Rincón and visiting the surrounding park. The lighthouse, a sight unto itself, also offers views of surfers on the ocean and great sunsets over this tranquil beach town." - Alicia Kennedy

This was a beautiful place to stop at and enjoy the view. When we went there was a surf competition at Domes. We loved visiting this place and even had a sangria before we continued our trip. There were artisans and even and ice cream stand like the ones you would find at the beach.

Absolutely beautiful. The best location in PR for sunset lovers. This place is well thought. There is a walkway around the lighthouse and over the cliff with great views, no matter where you stand. Food and drinks are available at the restaurant or you can bring your own. Plenty of parking. Drone friendly. No fee. Access to the lighthouse not possible. No reservations necessary. Short walk from the parking to the lighthouse. Best sunsets ever!

Beautiful views, the visit is less about the lighthouse although it's an interesting relic. There were humpback whale breaches spotted from the boardwalk bar. A very easy and pleasant beach path with multiple access points. Wonderful way to spend a couple of hours

Spectacular spot to watch the sunset! We were on a tour which stopped here- it was truly an amazing sunset. Wish we had more time to explore. Some folks in my group also loved the ice cream being sold at the entrance to the deck of the lighthouse.

There are no tickets for this place it is free to go look at. You can not go in, but the scenery around there is beautiful, and the bar is nice, and they have good snack foods, but I hope you use venmo or cash.

Beautiful historical light house, and the ocean very is peaceful. While we were there we spotted two humpback whales in the water. 🐋 We watched the sunset on the horizon. It was a great way to spend the evening. There is also restrooms inside the park and a small cafe with a bar as well.

Highly recommend! I visited more than once during my vacation because it is such a peaceful beautiful place! Also, the little bar at the lighthouse has the best drinks and food! Really yummy pina coladas and empanadillas! Sometimes there are vendors in the parking lot selling neat souvenirs! I got a cool Puerto Rican souvenir boat! (See pictures) The guy who sold the boats was there on Saturday!

Nice iconic tourist spot. Free parking spots close by. One restaurant at location and public restrooms available. Lot of food trucks and small local stalls for shopping. Free entry and you can walk to Playa Maria beach.
