Magical place to enjoy the sunset but it was closed. One of the most powerful lighthouses in Europe. Built in 1904, its light can be seen from a distance of 90 km. Inside, its small museum, which can be visited in a maximum of 30 minutes, explores the importance of the place. The lighthouse is surrounded by a fortress built in the 16th century to protect it from Moorish attacks. Legend has it that the walls were built on a former medieval convent, the very place where the remains of Saint Vincent are said to be.

In by gone days some people believed this was the end of the earth. Here you are right o nthe end of the furthest point of western Europe. Next stop is the United tates and South America. Some amazing viewings with souvenir stalls and food wagons on the roadside. Parking can be difficultin high season. And for me there not being walkways at either side of the lighthouse is not good for disabled people of child access. Otheer tha nthat some amazing views of the Atlantic ocean and the passing boats.

It is colder here than in the surrounding area and very windy. You need to dress well, because the temperature feels much lower. Nice views of the cliffs, but we didn't eat any snacks in such a wind.

An incredible part of Portugal, easily accessible, a communal experience if you decide to come here and straddle the cliffs with others during a sunset. Park anywhere along the road leading to the cape if the lot in the end is full, the walk towards the lighthouse is quite beautiful with many paths off the main road to choose from Oct 2025 the lighthouse itself and the compound is closed temporarily apparently. Doesn’t matter, the space around it is incredible

The lighthouse is closed but the area is absolutely amazing. Stunning views and trekking paths to enjoy and I especially recommend coming here in the afternoon or at sunset. There are plenty of parking spots and even some food trucks.

Really pretty great views. On the day we went there were mobile food options and a couple of stalls. Apparently you can only go inside on a Wednesday afternoon!

Always very windy. Nice lighthouse and views. Seems to be a must for everyone to visit the most southwesterly place in Europe. Found the Fortaleza do Sagres more interesting. But worth the short trip if it’s not too busy.

Perfect spot to enjoy an amazing sunset! As you can see from the picture this place is amazing, giving you several spot to take pictures and enjoy the sunset. There are also few places where you can take something to eat while you wait for the sunset.
