Farquharsons Bar and Kitchen

Stopped for lunch and although busy, found a table quickly. Menu is good, plenty of choice but not overwhelming. Atmosphere was great 👍 Service was very good. We didn't have to wait long for our food which was hot and super tasty. We have a doggy bag ( box) to takeaway leftovers.

We stopped in without a reservation and they fit us in. Delicious late lunch. My kids asked to return the next day for the fish & chips (one of the best tartar sauces I've tasted). They had an incoming reservation so we took a trio of desserts home. The tiramisu was alright but the honeycomb cheesecake and chocolate tart were excellent, even 2 days later.

This place provides some seriously tasty dishes in a cozy environment that you won't want to leave. Grab a seat on the couch by the fire, or scooch up to the bar and have a chat with the bartender. Regardless, you will find some friendly people.

Popped in to Farquharsons Bar for some food during a recent visit to Braemar. We were welcomed by very friendly staff who managed to find us the only table available early on a Tuesday evening. It’s always a good sign when so many tables are booked. We started with a nice bottle of Merlot then had one Beef Cobbler and a Venison casserole. The food was amazing, very flavoursome and well presented with a good tasty selection of vegetables. This was followed by some Chocolate ice cream just to finish things off. Staff throughout were very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, we will definitely be back for more. On our return visit we had Chicken with Sesame seeds and Chilli dip followed by Beef Cobbler with mash and one Fish & Chips. All very tasty , thanks.

Stopped in here for a refreshment, lovely always house, have eaten there previously, dining tomorrow night. Friendly and helpful staff, meals are reasonably priced, drinks are on the up as with everywhere..... Would recommend looking in......

Our first visit here for food was better than expected. The vegetarians in our party were expecting standard fare of veggie burger or Mac and cheese, but one of us had a huge Greek salad. The carnivores weren't disappointed either, as there were generous portions of salmon and koftas. As the only other place in town apart from the Fife Arms, this is doing a very good job.

Just dropped by on Saturday evening and the tables inside were fully booked but the outside had some empty seat. We sat outside right next to River Dee. 😍 Foods were served right away and very tasty. Would love to visit as we get there.

I came here with my daughter shortly before the kitchen closed, and after a long hike. The wait staff was very accommodating, and happy to serve us even though they were very busy and so closed to closing. We ordered the haggis and soup of the day, and were very impressed. By far, the best haggis I've ever had (as a Canadian). The servers were very friendly, attentive, and the food came quickly. Overall, the best place we've stopped on our trip so far.
