Where to celebrate New Year's Eve in Singapore - SilverKris

"Housed in the boutique Sultan Hotel in the heritage Kampong Glam neighbourhood, this recently opened bar is staging its first New Year’s Eve party with a curated selection of cocktails and a live set by DJ Bobos spinning classic hip hop and R&B. Throughout December it is also offering festive bottle packages for dine-in or takeaway (Moët & Chandon plus a choice of whisky, rum, gin or vodka) for $250, featuring options such as McCallan 12, Lagavulin, Diplomatico, Ron Zacapa, Roku and Belvedere, subject to availability." - Dinesh Ajith

10/10 atmosphere. Would definitely come back to try more of their dishes. It wasn't crowded at all, so the space at 2nd storey was quieter. The architecture and interior was spectacular. Food ranged from decent to good. Truffle fries did not have truffle taste. Crab meat fried rice was excellent, and don't be afraid to ask for chili padi. Seafood pizza was good with quite generous toppings. Crust and base were skinny and crispy so we loved it more. The stable burger was great. There were highs and lows for the drinks, but all in all on average they were good. We had citation (good), zenyatta (quite impressive mix but too much crushed ice), man o war (strong, good), eclipse (so-so), pretty polly (so-so), secretariat (so-so), rocket man (quite good). They didn't serve their special black caviar drink which was a shame. Service was ok, could be better. Despite being not crowded, the servers were not the most attentive to the 2-3 tables of guests. Though they had to climb up and down the stairs to serve food, which i can understand their difficulty.

One would never know that there’s a Restaurant inside The Sultan Hotel. I love the decor of the horses in the restaurant and bar. The staff was friendly and food was great. Their cocktails were named after famous race horses. I had the Secretariat and Clement had the Seabiscuit -movies that we both loved and watched. Gather your friends and chill for drinks or dinner at Farrer Horse!

While this bar has been around for a while, it recently went through a refresh which has created a nice space on the second floor of a shop house on the edge of the Arab street neighborhood. They have a moderate menu containing mostly bar food options. I tried the mozzarella sticks, truffle fries, and margherita pizza and all were tasty but standard. The highlight was several good cocktails from the large bar. Another recommendation is to sit outside along the second floor balcony.

Absolutely LOVE this restaurant/bar. Bring your friends along to this hidden gem along Jalan Sultan! The Dining Room has an array of food items for you to choose from, and you can have a cheeky little glass of wine or a classic cocktail while you're munching on their scrumptious meals. You may then head on up to The Stable Bar where they have a wider selection of cocktail selections, and you MUST try their in-house cocktails! They're super yummy, concocted with articulation and sincerity. If you're feeling adventurous, you may talk to their friendly bartenders for a bespoke drink made to desire your tastebuds. They also have a selection of bar food for you to munch on if you're hungry. Come on Fridays and Saturdays to enjoy live music if you're into that!! My friends and I always come down for a nice, relaxing night to unwind from the heavy week we've had. Don't miss out!

A very nice bar within the restaurant, serving modern asian cuisine. The dishes took a twist from its former self and presented in an innovative way. The food is decent. Drinks menu is extensive. Located within the boutique hotel - The Sultan.

Had a nice family meal at Farrer House. Surprisingly good food. Attentive service from the team, especially Manish. The Lamb Lollypop was really good. Nice salad options and Chettinad pizza was a refreshingly nice take on the classic pizza.

Had dinner here tonight. Had the Thai Mango Salad, it was good but would taste a bit better if it was slightly spicier i guess. The Seafood Marinara pasta was very flavorful and very tasty. Definitely would reorder. Lastly had the Chicken Chettinad Pizza which is Chef Roy’s signature. The crust is made with wheat as explained by the chef. Overall we find the food very appealing and would definitely come again. Kudos to Chef Roy for taking the time to greet us and explaining all the dishes we ordered 🙂🙂 it was very kind of him

Farrer Horse, Jalan Sultan: Equestrian and horse racing themed Farrer Horse is colonial classy. Black and white horse races of the yesteryears grace the wall, lending a stylish and classy feel. The bar is spread over 2 floors housed in a handsome stoic colonial building. It’s also a hotel. The bar is gorgeous and no matter how many photos you see in the reviews, it’s best you come for a real live feel. We had the 1 for 1 martini’s all night, skipping food but I do fancy coming back to try the food. It’s a plush gorgeous spot with high ceilings and ornate pieces. The equestrian theme is definitely a stand out in Singapore. #eatstylishtravelstylish
