Yelp
First things first, I do actually like this place. I like the quality of the food, atmosphere and their superb location, which is on a street parallel to some of the high-end brands in Copenhagen.
The two stars are given, due to the inconsistency on the amount of food served. Their service is also NOT the greatest you will find in this lovely city.
Within the past two months, I've paid them a visit twice. Both times I ordered the exact same things, which was their "morgenbræt" (breakfast board) and a small latte. That breakfast set consists of some bread, cheese, few slices of cold cuts, a half avocado, butter, jam and a soft boiled egg.
First time I went with a friend, who ordered the exact same thing. There was a good amount of food on it (which there should be for 95 kroner pr. person). And I remember my latte was huge, I even made a comment to our waiter about it. Because I thought they might have mistaken my order, and given me a large one instead. But no, the large cup of coffee only had one shot of espresso, so everything was correct. Cool! No complaints from me.
The "soft boiled" eggs though, was so overdone that if I threw it at someone, I would probably be charged with murder. I mentioned it to the waiter, and we got some new ones right away. Alright, rookie/didn't-pay-attention-while-cocking-the-food mistake. The thing is, they weren't even busy! We sat right next to the open kitchen.
Second time I went with two friends, and we all ordered the same breakfast set. I noticed this:
1 person ordering the set = half avocado
2 people ordering the set = half avocado to share
3 people ordering the set = half avocado to share
Alright.... I'm no math genius, but something is definitely wrong here. So having more people at the same table, ordering the same will obviously NOT change the amount of avocado?!! (And no! We didn't get a bigger half to share.)
Come on FAR's dreng! You really have to be soooo cheap about avocado? I've read the reviews of other people, and even looked at pictures from others. My experience, was not a "serving" mistake. FAR's dreng is REALLY being that cheap about it. Not to mention, my latte also shrunk. The second time, my friends and I were sitting downstairs. Once they have served you the food, you will never hear from the waiters again.
There is just too many things I don't like. It bugs me, because we are really just talking about small adjustments, and if they stepped up their game, they could easily change it .
So as for now, I won't be setting my foot in there anytime soon.
