Went there for brunch, ended up being disappointed.. The eggs were too raw, the waffle was paper thin, the banana bread tasted weird and the location of the table was awful. Every time the door was opened we were freezing.. 🥶The food is way overpriced for what you get in quality. The staff was smiling and friendly though. But anyway, I would definitely not go there again..

Google
Small and intimate restaurant serving traditional style, flavourful, open sandwiches. The portion sizes were decent for the price and the plating was Insta worthy! Will defo recommend to anyone visiting Copenhagen!

Had a good brunch here! The food was great but the order does take some time. So I suggest order and just chitchat with friends over a coffee 😂 Ordered some great dishes as shown in the pictures.

Google
Great little spot to have brunch or breakfast. Go early to beat the crowds, and weekdays are a lot easier than weekends. We got there around 9AM and easily got a table, but by the time we left the place was getting packed. Tables are communal so be prepared to share. The signature egg toast was great, and the waffles were also pretty and delicious. The service was a little slow (looked like only 2-3 people were taking orders and preparing food and drinks), but our server was very nice and courteous.

Google
Such a lovely place! Highly recommand for any lunch, brunch, coffee break. They have many plates suggestions. Prices are correct for Copenhagen and food was great.

Google
Really nice place to have coffee and breakfast. Many options for breakfast with eggs on bread, salmon, avocado, acai bowls, etc. Be aware that the restaurant suggests 2-3 dishes per person, and it might be very pricey for just a breakfast. Staff is excellent and the restaurant is really nice decorated. I would recommend it!

Placed in a basement this little gem serves excellent breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Everything is made of very good ingredients and portions are big and prices small. The staff and service is great so I highly recommend this place , great value for money😋👍

Google
It might not seem like much but the tomatoes in the dish I ordered were heavenly, sooo tasty!! Haven't had such nice tomatoes in a very long time. Else a pretty decent breakfast and brunch place, not too memorable.

Yelp
Delicious salad. Nice English servers. No back tests but bench seating at least where we were. Nice old style lighting. I got the falafel salad. Huge portion. I was the last to finish eating. Great warm crispy falafel. I loved the hummus. The edemame was delectable. The cauliflower was a nice surprise. All of it was so good. Loved every bite. About 110 Kroner. Great place! Took a while for us to pay and couldn't split the check.

Yelp
Even though we went to probably some of the best restaurants in Copenhagen while we were there, FAR's dreng ended up being my favorite place. So much so that I came here twice during our five-day stay. It's a cozy place, with feather throws and metal chairs, seats by windows and candles lit on every table, on every nook and corner. If you're not here when it first opens in the morning, you may need to wait or find another place to eat, since it's one of few places that open before 10 on a weekend. The breakfast choices were divine. Egg over rye toast, or the full breakfast special complete with delicious ham, cheese, melons, fried egg, and rye bread. So good and so fresh, I was in LOVE. I honestly do not know what to say about the rating for this place on Yelp. Both times I went, I came out extremely happy and satisfied with everything. Lovely gem of a place.

Yelp
Again, I am a big Instagram foodie follower. I love non-traditional food places, quirky decor, unique menus. Far's dreng chefs sure delivered new twists to traditional Danish food. I've never had smorrebrod THIS GOOD. Even my picky eater of a son devoured his cheese sandwich. Nice touch to put mustard there. I, for one, loved your salmon and burratta sandwich. Also, big thank you to your waiters who recommend beet and apple juice to me. I would caution first-time visitors that the wait can be as long as 45 minutes for your food to show up. But it's totally worth it!

Yelp
I have come to FAR's dreng two different times for brunch this year and I have had amazing meals both times I have come. At FAR's dreng, I have had the signature dish, which is amazing avocado toast that has a fried egg on it. I would do anything to be able to eat the signature dish again...it is seriously the best avocado toast I have ever had. I also love the waffle here. It is a crunchy waffle that is super sugary and sweet too...it is heaven! I really like the vibe here. They have large tables that can fit more than one group. It is very hipster, cool, and modern! There can often be long waits, especially on the weekends around brunch time, and I am pretty sure you cannot make reservations in advance. However, this place is worth the wait!

Yelp
Buzzing brunch/lunch restaurant. Went on a sunny Sunday in June as the place was packed. All the dishes looked really nice with a healthy touch. Can recommend it all.

Yelp
I'd just had one of those days. One where you don't really know why, but everyone bothers the shit out of you. Everyone just seems to talk such bs (which I am allergic to, always) and the world doesn't care about you, but you don't care about the world either. So I walked into Far's dreng (which is grammatically incorrect by the way; in Denmark you do not use an apostrophe when using genitive) feeling spiteful and plain fatigued. But then it changed. They served me potato on bread and it was exactly what I needed. But I would've still been a little down, had it not been for the service. The girl bringing me the food was so sweet in that honest and real way, and the lady upstairs taking the order had her son with her tasting the carrot juice. It seemed like a family-driven place that afternoon even though it probably isn't. That closeness, combined with the excellent food, made Fars dreng (just correcting the grammar there) the very right choice for me that afternoon. Thank you, good folks!

Yelp
At first I was in doubt about this place considering most people rated it low because of bad service and such, but we came here on a Sunday morning, hungry after doing some photowalk in a cold Copenhagen morning and our stomach sac just demanded to be fed immediately. The location can't be easier - just a stone's throw from Kongens Nytorv metro, so it's very central, just in case you are in the area and need brunch stat. We ordered hangover plate (toasted rye bread, gooey sunny side up, chorizo and avocado - I wanted mine without avocado, but they made a mistake and put on both, oh well - that's a fail, but fortunately not an acute one since I'm actually ok with avocado) and I had matcha latte with soya latte in bowl (that was very good) and a waffle as dessert. The hangover plate was great!! I have always been skeptical toward rye bread in the span of 10 years I have been living in Denmark, but the toasted version actually tasted really crunchy and good. Topped with spicy chorizo, ketchup, avocado and egg, they were extremely tasty!! The waffle was to die for, seriously - how can I make this myself? I need to go back here at least for the waffle only! It's obvious that I will be back here soon-ish enough. Only one thing that was disappointing that their dankort terminal didn't work, but fortunately they accept mobilepay, so it wasn't too much of a hassle.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot and perfect way to start your day. Good food and free WiFi! Oh and freshly squeezed juice were amazing! Great place for vegetarians or vegans with salad and acai bowl offering's.

Yelp
Birthday weekend with my dad in Copenhagen, great setting for fantastic food adventures. I had to wait for him for about 5 hours though as he was driving from my hometown. I walked around CPH without really knowing anything and stumbled upon ''Fars dreng'' which means ''Daddys boy'' and I found that very funny and thought I'd give it ago. The main down stars area was closed for a function and I was starving at this point, luckily they could squeeze me in at the counter. I ordered the most delicious horizon on rye bread with a fried egg on top with some fresh orange juice and it was divine! Just look at the picture I uploaded it is a beautiful little dish. All in all very happy with this place and if I am ever back in CPH I will have to try it again.

Yelp
Love the waffles and they are AFFORDABLE!! The waffles are thin and crisp and topped with fresh fruit. They're also heart shaped and very cute. You order at a counter and then the food is served to you soon after. It's a really cool place aesthetically as well. I'm a fan.

Yelp
Fun easy eatery, true Danish food, i.e., open sandwiches. Seating and ordering was a little confusing us, but simply order upstairs, take a number and get seated downstairs, and then get served. Quick easy lunch

Yelp
Nice smørrebrød! Restaurant is located on a calm street. Nice staff that made vegan smørrebrød for us even tho it wasn't on the original menu.

Jesper H.

Yelp
When you are hungry for breakfast this is one of the best place in Copenhagen. Try the signature dishes

Amanda F.

Yelp
Look no further than FAR's Dreng for a classic Danish brunch. Located just off the main shopping street, Strøget, this trendy place was buzzing with people and was incredibly cozy. The beers on tap were good as well as the smørrebrød.

Yelp
Service too slow to function as pit stop for pre-work breakfast. It took 20 min for my latte to arrive and even longer for the Skyr I ordered. Both were good though, but I ended up spending nearly 45 min where I intended less than 30 min. Might work fine for other meals but if you open at 8am on a weekday and wants to target the working people Far's Dreng need to hurry up.

Yelp
First things first, I do actually like this place. I like the quality of the food, atmosphere and their superb location, which is on a street parallel to some of the high-end brands in Copenhagen. The two stars are given, due to the inconsistency on the amount of food served. Their service is also NOT the greatest you will find in this lovely city. Within the past two months, I've paid them a visit twice. Both times I ordered the exact same things, which was their "morgenbræt" (breakfast board) and a small latte. That breakfast set consists of some bread, cheese, few slices of cold cuts, a half avocado, butter, jam and a soft boiled egg. First time I went with a friend, who ordered the exact same thing. There was a good amount of food on it (which there should be for 95 kroner pr. person). And I remember my latte was huge, I even made a comment to our waiter about it. Because I thought they might have mistaken my order, and given me a large one instead. But no, the large cup of coffee only had one shot of espresso, so everything was correct. Cool! No complaints from me. The "soft boiled" eggs though, was so overdone that if I threw it at someone, I would probably be charged with murder. I mentioned it to the waiter, and we got some new ones right away. Alright, rookie/didn't-pay-attention-while-cocking-the-food mistake. The thing is, they weren't even busy! We sat right next to the open kitchen. Second time I went with two friends, and we all ordered the same breakfast set. I noticed this: 1 person ordering the set = half avocado 2 people ordering the set = half avocado to share 3 people ordering the set = half avocado to share Alright.... I'm no math genius, but something is definitely wrong here. So having more people at the same table, ordering the same will obviously NOT change the amount of avocado?!! (And no! We didn't get a bigger half to share.) Come on FAR's dreng! You really have to be soooo cheap about avocado? I've read the reviews of other people, and even looked at pictures from others. My experience, was not a "serving" mistake. FAR's dreng is REALLY being that cheap about it. Not to mention, my latte also shrunk. The second time, my friends and I were sitting downstairs. Once they have served you the food, you will never hear from the waiters again. There is just too many things I don't like. It bugs me, because we are really just talking about small adjustments, and if they stepped up their game, they could easily change it . So as for now, I won't be setting my foot in there anytime soon.

Yelp
Breakfast is one of those very interesting meals of the day where there is still plenty of room to be creative. This was a great experience. I got there just as they were opening, so I was able to receive attention undisturbed. I studied the menu pretty thoroughly the night before and was not disappointed. This was probably one of the best and fulfilling breakfasts I've had in my life! (Not hyperbole.) I strongly recommend the "Datingplate" (traditional Danish breakfast). The bread was perfectly warm and quite tasty. A sunny side up egg is nothing spectacular, but combined with everything else on my plate - I was in breakfast dreamland.

John R.

Yelp
Really good. The chili flakes were very nice and there was a good amount of salt. The egg was fried very nicely. The tomatoes were good, but a little too much for my liking. The leaves they used were very good. There were also some chives on top, although they didn't add much taste. The bread was traditional danish rye. Very good overall. The staff were also super friendly and helpful.

Yelp
My friend and I just stopped in briefly because we needed to get on wi-fi to check into our flight, but we had to sit down and get something when we saw how good the food looked and how inviting the place was. The food was delicious, but I especially appreciated how fresh everything tasted. Great find!

Yelp
What a beautiful treat this place is. For breakfast we tired The Fars Morgenbræt and Ristet rugbred. It was fresh, delicious even better to look at. This is a wonderful place, thoughtfully done. Can't wait to come back for more.

Yelp
A cozy cafe close to Kongens Nytorv with great food, atmosphere and prices. The value for money is spot on and the menu is simply good! I couldn't decide, but ended up going with the gourmet pizza of the day. The waitress was very busy but very sweet, and I really loved that they had "Copenhagen Water" on the menu for 0 kr. I can't wait to come back and try breakfast. If you want to see a typical Danish cafe by Kongens Nytorv, I suggest coming here to experience Danish hygge.

Emilia Anita E.

Yelp
Would only recommend going here if you have tons of time to spare. Service was ridiculously slow.

DARIA O.

Yelp
Service here was pretty bad. Took forever for someone to even acknowledge us and get us waters. We were about to get up and leave, actually. And it was just slow and painful for the rest of our time there. Food was okay but for the price, it was the smallest portions we've ever seen. We actually laughed when the food was set down in front of us. Everything seemed over salted too. My son is a big salter and it was even too much for him. Overall not a great experience and wouldn't return.

Sophie W.

Yelp
Yummy brunch, but small portions! It's a cute place to sit in and I even saw some people with laptops out working.

Jess J.

Yelp
I enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Fars Dreng multiple days on my weeks-long stay in Nyhavn. I had both the avocado toast w/ egg and the waffle with berries. I highly recommend stopping into this cafe for its hygge vibes, yummy food, and strong coffee.
