"Basel's Carnival is one of Europe's more notorious celebrations. Each year, an organized parade of some 20,000 revelers marches through the streets in costumes, followed by bar crawls through the city with singing, acting, and boozing for hours. Visitors are encouraged to avoid face painting and other traditional customs. For families, there is a children's carnival on March 3, 2020."
