Some of the famous hiking trails around the valley: 1. Vajolet Towers Hike - Length: 14 km round trip - Duration: 6-7 hours - Difficulty: Challenging This trail is one of the most iconic hikes in the Dolomites, taking you to the base of the Vajolet Towers in the Catinaccio (Rosengarten) massif. Starting from the village of Pera di Fassa, the hike includes steep ascents, rocky paths, and breathtaking views. It passes by Rifugio Gardeccia, Rifugio Vajolet, and Rifugio Preuss, where you can rest and enjoy local cuisine. 2. Viel dal Pan Trail - Length: 8 km one way - Duration: 3-4 hours - Difficulty: Moderate This trail offers stunning views of the Marmolada, the highest peak in the Dolomites. Starting from Passo Pordoi, the trail follows an old bread-carrying route with panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The hike ends at Passo Fedaia, near the Marmolada Glacier. 3. Sentiero Federico Augusto - Length: 12 km round trip - Duration: 5-6 hours - Difficulty: Moderate This scenic trail runs along the ridgeline of the Col Rodella and Sasso Lungo massifs, offering spectacular views of the Dolomites. Starting from the cable car station in Campitello di Fassa, the trail passes by Rifugio Sandro Pertini and Rifugio Friedrich August, where you can enjoy refreshments and take in the scenery. 4. Val San Nicolò to Val Monzoni - Length: 15 km round trip - Duration: 6-7 hours - Difficulty: Moderate This trail takes you through the picturesque Val San Nicolò and Val Monzoni, known for their lush meadows, alpine flowers, and traditional mountain huts. Starting from Pozza di Fassa, the hike offers a mix of gentle slopes and steeper sections, with beautiful views and opportunities to spot wildlife.

Bad ski bus connections/infrastructure. Egz Sella Ronda from Soraga no ski bus connections. I prefer the Austrian resorts where everything is better organized.
