Fat Beagle Coffee Shop

Absolutely superb. All dishes we order were well cooked and delicious. Highlight for me was the Brekkie Burger. Extraordinarily stacked for an affordable price. I drool just thinking about it. Babycinno was cute, and there were vouchers for free drinks with visits. Service was spectacular; the shop itself was clean and cosy. Must try.

Friendly service. Bustling with good service and food. My husband said it was the best Eggs Benny he has ever had! Highly recommend this cafe in Penneshaw.

Can you believe it? We came here for 3 full breakfasts in our 4 days stay on kangaroo island. We are completely pampered by the crispy croissants, the yummy eggs and the well cooked but not overdone bacon. Coffee and Tea are really good. So we came back again and again. Staff can recognised us and the exact orders we wanted. It’s so cooling to sit outside at the terrace and enjoying the garden and flowers around the cafe. A great location! Simply beat the direct competitor just across the road. Thank you for your great hospitality to our family of 9!

Honestly, this café is a rare find. The food is perfectly seasoned and thoughtfully made, the portions are excellent for the price, and the menu offers plenty of variety. The coffee is made beautifully, and it’s clear the barista is experienced and truly a master of their craft. The staff are so lovely, and I’ve been back several times — it never disappoints. Nothing but praise all round.

Dropped into the Fat Beagle on our way home from KI. Food and the coffee were both great, staff were fantastic, very obvious a locals’ favourite with the staff acknowledging them, a good option before you head back to Adelaide!

Perfect spot for a spot before or after your ferry trip. I had such a delicious breakfast bruschetta and well made coffee. Eggs were cooked to perfection, ingredients were very tasty and fresh. Everyone working there was lovely. Also, prices were pretty good and exactly the same as the city of Adelaide (some even less). I will come back for sure.

I had the Eggs Benedict and it was lovely. Will be eating here again while I'm in KI

Convenient little coffee shop service sweets, coffee, brunch and sandwiches in downtown Penneshaw. Nice outdoor seating available as well as plenty of indoor seating and free wifi. Great for grabbing a coffee and some sandwiches before heading out on an expedition.
