Laid back ski town feel Great burgers with interesting options. The doughnut burger was interesting and worth trying but not a weekly repeat. The only negative is that the amount of burger could be increased as the bun size decreased. Overall would come back :)

Google
Food was amazing and the the service great. I had the fat cat fries and the gluten free brownie. The brownie was delicious and just as good as a normal brownie. They have gluten free options for other things as well. If you also have gluten issues it is a great place to come will 💯 be returning.

Google
This was a great find while we visited Tahoe City yesterday! Very relaxed atmosphere, great beer choices and a variety of bar and grill type food. Excellent friendly service.

Google
This place has many American options, including burgers and sandwiches. I had the chicken sandwich and Mac n cheese balls as an appetizer, and both tasted alright. They were well presented, but the chicken sandwich was a little on the dryer side. The food is good but nothing special. The servers are nice, and the restaurant is clean and has a nice atmosphere.

Google
Great hole in the wall type of place with amazing burgers and salads. It's a basic pub-type spot and we almost walked out, but the staff was excellent so we stayed. After we ordered the food was out in minutes. My burger was really cooked to order, which you rarely get these days. Definitely get the garlic Parmesan fries. They were shockingly good. I rarely finish an order of fries but we couldn't stop eating these. Also the best mac and cheese my uncle ever had in his life (his words).

Google
Best Fried Pickles ever!! Great service - fast and hot food and they put hockey on the big screen for me. Lamb burger was top notch and kids loved the burger and wings. Chili cheese fries were decent but could have used more chili and cheddar. No complaints!

Shawheen

Google
Big Portions for the meals and had patio seating that was dog friendly! We were seated within 5 minutes on a Saturday 2p so wasn't much of a wait at all for the circumstances. Plenty of choices for everyone and the appetizers were really good too! Will visit again when we are in town!

Google
Great food, got in quickly and they had a kids menu that didn’t have us labor out our kids to pay for it 😂 my crew or 4, 11,13 and two adults had burgers and I had the Mac and cheese with bacon and mushrooms… so yummy! Everyone ate all their food quickly but all but my husband liked the ketchup 🤷‍♀️

Matt M.

Yelp
Fantastic all natural meal with unique twists and good beer. Burgers, Ahi tuna and fried pickles hit the spot.

Yelp
The vibes were good but the mac n cheese was really mid it tasted like nothing... The fries were good though but don't come here for the mac n cheese

Noah A.

Yelp
blackened chicken sandwich and fries were delicious, friendly service, cozy atmosphere, big TVs!

Yelp
Preface: we only had frisky kitties on a Friday, fry sampler, and Mac n cheese Food (4.5/5): The frisky kitties were only $6.50 on Friday which is a great deal for a cocktail! The special for that day was a fry sampler with onion rings, fried pickles, mini corn dogs, and jalapeño poppers. The highlight was the onion rings. My friends said it was the top 3 onion rings they've ever had. I also got a side of Mac n cheese which was only $3. It was ok, a bit bland. Service (5/5): The server was extremely attentive, quick and friendly. She was the only one serving everyone and was still super on top of it. Ambiance (4/5): Just your standard American restaurant vibes. They had large tables for bigger groups and bar seating with TVs playing sports. Bathroom was clean which was a plus!

Sanjali P.

Yelp
Mac and cheese here is delicious and some drinks at half price on a Friday night are hard to beat! I will definitely be back for the amazing service and incredible drinks!

Yelp
Great American food with outdoor seating available that gives a good partial view of the lake! Great for large groups, groups with kids, and parties with pets! Came with a group of 9 adults and 3 kids and they were able to seat us outside on a Saturday during lunch. It wasn't too busy, and service was good. Craving a grilled cheese and also craving seafood? Get the Crawfish Grilled Cheese! Perfect amount of comfort with a mix of crawfish. The Cal-Neva burger was very good and loaded with a heaping amount of guacamole. Can't go wrong with any of the choices here. Sides of Mac n Cheese and Sweet Potato fries did not disappoint either. Green chile aioli and their garlic aioli were tasty sauces also.

Nichelle B.

Yelp
Our server Misael was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Brie and Fig Grilled Cheese, and this upgraded grilled cheese was delicious. The sandwich was crunchy, the fig was sweet and paired well with the Brie. The bar & grill is small with a slightly wrap around bar, three tv screens, beer on tap, half price drinks every Friday, and bar/cafe merchandise for sell. Overall, an excellent meal, service, and ambiance.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
No nonsense food and service. Lots of dogs with their people outside sitting around. Parking in the back. I highly recommend the keto bowl. Heard the burgers were tasty too. A side of fries came in a cup.

Christy M.

Yelp
Food, 10/10. The food was fresh and so delicious. I highly recommend the Mac and cheese. They make the ketchup in house. Service 10/10. The waitress was always attentive. We stopped here for lunch after a hike and we highly recommend it. Definitely would come back again. Specially for the Mac and cheese

Yelp
Four stars with over 1,000 reviews I was looking forward to lunch here, but I was quite let down. The service was a little slow and there were only a couple of tables inside and outside. We had a large party with kids, which I get. I also am thankful that they brought the kids food out before the adults, that was great! But the food was also ok. I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was subpar. The kids chicken tenders looked better than the chicken on the sandwich. I don't know what it was fried in, but it was pretty bland, and the chicken itself was tough and thin. It looks a whole lot better than it is. I was really let down since I'm such a big fried chicken guy. The onion rings were divine though! Good fries and great ranch too.

Andrew B.

Yelp
Food is good for a bar. I had a good burger special with the most delightful brown ale. The bar is fully stocked and ready for anything. The bartenders are seasoned and know when the snow is low, people will flood the place. No issues with other patrons. Everyone in town is respectful and knows how to behave around me. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry...

Chris N.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with my girlfriend. We shared an order of chili fries. She had a frisky kitty and a whiskey glazed burger made into a lettuce wrap with a side salad. I had a Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest, the salmon BLTA with a side salad. Everything was really good. One of the better meals we've had in a while. I'd have to say the standouts were the chili fries, they were amazing. And the side salads were surprisingly good, fresh spring mix and a solid balsamic Vinaigrette. The server Lindsey was very nice and attentive. We will definitely visit again.

Yelp
We were in the area and wanted to find a place that could cater to the whole family's tastebuds (myself, spouse, 4 kids). After scanning the Yelp page for this business we quickly decided this would be a good destination. Getting seating at 2PM on a Wednesday was super quick and easy. There was only 1 waitress working so it took her a minute to get to us, but she was really chippy and sweet. Food also came out quickly. My 2 gripes are these: the flavor of the food and the cost of the food. Food: 1) most of our items were overwhelmingly over-seasoned - regular French fries, sweet potato fries, garlic fries, hubby's burger (Whiskey Glaze Burger). 2) my Fried Chicken Sandwich was impossible to eat by hand. I ate with a fork and knife bc the chicken was so dry and needed to be cut down to smaller pieces and since the sandwich was served on a brioche bun that very quickly broke down bc of its soft nature. Cost: We had a bit of shock when the bill came for $114. We regularly eat out as a family of 6 and don't ever spend that much for one meal. Albeit the gratuity was already included on the bill, but still... $114 is a lot especially for less than stellar food. Basically, I'd skip Fat Cat next time we're in Tahoe City and try something else.

Angelica A.

Yelp
Stopped here twice on a trip to Tahoe City, it was right across the street from the hotel I was at so it was convenient. Pretty view of the lake. The service was nice and quick. The waitresses allowed me to choose my own seating. Chili was good I had to get some more but on the chili dog and it was bomb. Mac & cheese was fire i think I'll get that when I come again. The drinks were decent and fair priced. I forgot to take a pic of my watermelon margarita with tajin rim, that was tasty. They have daily deals also!

Meaghan V.

Yelp
The moment my group walked in the lady was incredibly rude. She gave us attitude the whole time, telling us to stop when we were moving chairs around, telling us to speak up, aggressively serving the food, overall bad body language. We are giving you business, if you want to have bad customer service expect to lose tips and business.

Sean H.

Yelp
Love this place. Great for lunch, never had a bad meal. Love the staff but them not writing down your order makes me nervous. burger was juicy and tasty .

Sussy G.

Yelp
My friends and I were looking for a spot to grub on after floating the river. We had never been and this spot was it. Very good reviews all around so we decided to check it out. As soon as you walk in you feel the bar vibe. They have a full service bar, bar chairs and stools. There are also regular dining tables. We got seated and were served water. Menu options all seemed delicious. I ordered the jumbo wings naked with sauce on the side and a side of Mac and cheese. The wings were super crispy and tasted freshly made. The ranch is really good...not every ranch passes the test. My favorite was the Mac n cheese. They added bacon and mushrooms. Delish!!! My friends ordered wings and crawdaddy fries. Wow those are really good as well. Everyone ate all their food, no leftovers it was that good. FYI they do not split tabs so make sure you are prepared.

Yelp
In town for the holidays and after strolling through the village our family wanted a bite to eat. Immediately saw Fat Cat Bar & Grill from the sidewalk and figured they'd have food all our kids would eat - burgers and chicken tenders. Bingo! They sure did. The restaurant wasn't quite that large so seating was very limited for a party of 10. Inside looked very nice and welcoming, everything was wood galore (naturally), there was a bar with bar top seating, bar top tables, and stand alone tables seating anywhere from 2-3 or 7-8. This is how our family was split up in order to be serviced sooner. Reading their menu reminded me of BJ's. They had a huge variety of burgers which many of us got the Cowboy Burger, a few with chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, fries, onion rings and ended it off with a "pizookie". Burger was okay as I was expecting something very large scale and messy, like BJ's. It was lacking a lot of this. All our fries were nearly fried to a crisp so much so my sister had to reorder her sweet potato fries and the second batch still came out burnt. Pizookie was more so cakey, not crisp, soft, and chewy. Lastly, I understand this is a small restaurant so buzzing devices to notify your table is ready may not be their first choice to alert guests. But perhaps grabbing our phone number to call us would have helped a great deal tonight. We were quoted 30-45 mins for our party, said we'd leave and come back within 30. Welp, it appears they "called" our name at the 30 minute mark yet no one claimed. Who wants to wait outside in the freezing cold?? We definitely arrived there before 30 mins. We were then quoted another 30-45! Such a disappointment and extremely frustrating. After talking to the hostess conveying the lack of communication along with how hungry our kids were they sat us split within about 20 mins. Don't think we'll be back here again.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Came by this place with a group of friends for dinner after a weekend of mostly snacking. We had a party of 9 so we knew there'd be a wait. We waited around 35 min before we checked back in and guess they forgot about us because they seated other parties before us. Once they saw us, they had an "oh shit" face and tried to sit us at these two small tables. Another party of 4 was sitting comfortably at the same 2 small table setup but for some reason thought they could fit 9 people but couldn't even fit 8 chairs? We went up to the two hostesses to ask for another table as the restaurant was half empty. Don't know what was happening but the hostesses were not understanding we needed a bigger table, and kept thinking I was another customer asking for a whole other table. We finally just asked one of the wait staff if we could drag one of the extra tables over and got the go ahead. Food wise, it's decently ok. Food came very quickly, and portion sizes were fair. -Ahi tower ($21): probably my favorite dish but could have seasoned the actual tuna with some sauce. The wasabi sauce they put under the tower was good though. Good amount of wonton chips too. -Whiskey glaze burger ($16.90): decently good. I ordered mine with a side of onion rings instead of fried to put the onion rings inside the burger to elevate it. There was no whiskey sauce though. I had to put my side ranch sauce on it as the burger was kind of dry without the sauce. -build your own burger ($11.90 + $2 for cheese + $2 for grilled onions -$15.90): friend said it was ok. Expensive for a simple cheeseburger with grilled onions. -salmon blta ($18.90): friend said this was dry, and it did look dry just looking at it. - classic Mac n cheese ($12): was good Mac n cheese but would have like some torching of the bread crumbs instead of throwing raw breadcrumbs on top. -cal neva burger ($16.90): the few people that ordered it said it was ok but could use an actual sauce on it, not just using the guac as a sauce. Overall, all the main entrees were on the dry side and needed sauce. Wait staff itself were very nice and quick. Not sure what happened with the hostesses but that was a hot mess and really left a sour taste. Felt very unheard/ being made to feel as if we're being incredibly demanding when we just wanted a table to actually seat 9 people, not just hold 8 chairs around a 4 person table.

Yelp
This past weekend I went to a music festival at the Palisades and pre-partied Friday in Tahoe City at Fat Cat. The food is pretty good here and they have a unique menu that's bound to satisfy any palette. What I will caution is, this place can become really busy which affects service time, so plan accordingly es with our busy hot summer. The ambience is typical for a bar and can get loud inside. They have a nice outdoor patio, with heating lamps, and is dog friendly. On Fridays they offer a drink special called, Frisky Kitty, which is their signature drink. It's $5 bucks but normally is a +$10 cocktail. They use premium Hangar1 vodka, St. Germaine Elderberry liqueur, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and a splash of cranberry. By the looks of it, I thought it was going to be too sweet but it was actually subtle and blended nicely. For dinner, I went with the Harvest salad. It was really fresh and I loved how the apples and pecans gave it a nice crunch. The sweet cranberries complimented the balsamic vinaigrette well. I also ordered a side of Mac & Cheese. They use aged parmesan white cheddar with panko bread crumbs topping. It was cheesy but did not have that super deep cheesy flavor if that's what you're looking for. Our server was great and friendly and definitely give props to their busser. It's his first job and he worked hard and had the hussle.

Yelp
Had a really nice weekend visiting Tahoe City and walking around the lake. Popped in to Fat Cat Bar and Grill for some lunch. Not too busy for a Sunday and service was friendly and quick. My son had a burger and fries, while I had the Ahi Tuna stack. The pic does not give it justice, but I was hungry and forgot to take a picture until it was half devoured. Lots of parking on the roads. Beautiful, sunny day at the lake. There is outdoor seating, but we chose to eat inside. Some the cocktails look delicious, though we stuck to the non alcoholic type drinks as the forecast for the ride home was going to be a wet one back on Mt Rose Highway

Yelp
I read a review recently for a restaurant Tahoe City that said something along the lines of "typical Tahoe restaurant mediocrity." This resonated with me since my family and I have been frequenting Tahoe for a few years now and are always on the hunt for good food. Sadly, most of the restaurants along the lake are just "okay." We're newer to the Tahoe City side so we were looking for places to eat during the 4th of July holiday. We had our dogs with us so this was very important to find an outdoor restaurant with good food. Fat Cat Bar and Grill was walking distance to our hotel so we decided to try. They have an indoor area as well as a few outdoor tables. It was crowded around 6pm for dinner on a holiday weekend but we were seated within 10 minutes. We snapped a few pictures with the dogs at the bear statues across the street in the meantime. Food is pricey for what it is. -1 star for that. However, the food was pretty damn good. Definitely not in the "mediocre Tahoe restaurant" category. We ordered a burger (I honestly forget which one but it had blue cheese in it), a salad (the one with apples.. nuts.. balsamic dressing and gouda), and a mac and cheese and chicken tenders for my son. Going on vacation is the worst since I usually end up eating like crap so the salad was super refreshing. The burger came with onion rings and we also ordered the parmesan fries. Def over-ordered but we wanted to try those items. Everything was pretty tasty, even the chicken tenders and mac and cheese for my son. Other than the restaurant being pretty good I just was kind of turned off by the fact that 2 chicken strips and like a cup of fries for my son was 12 bucks.. Not sure if we'll be back due to the pricing, and I was hungover from my own 4th of July bad decisions so maybe we'll come back for drinks one day. Other than that, good for a bar, but a bit pricey for what it is.

Yelp
As I was driving through Tahoe City California, I was craving a fat juicy hamburger. I looked up and there it was *Fat Cat Bar and Grill*. I ordered a Cal-Nev burger to go, and it was The perfect fat juicy hamburger cooked to perfection. I actually got to order it medium rare, and it was dialed in on the money.! The french fries were nice and crispy on the outside and tender within. One of the fattest juiciest burgers I've had in a long time! I highly recommend it

Kristin G.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late lunch after a long day of playing in the sun. Hostess was very friendly and sat us right away. I had the Frisky Kitty cocktail and it was yummy! Our order was taken and food came out quickly. Everything was delicious! Our grandson really loved the ribs. They also need to bottle up their Buffalo sauce and sell it- it's THAT GOOD! My family enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back if we are in that area again.

Alicia R.

Yelp
This is a great spot for a midday meal around a beach day in Tahoe city! We arrived around 2 PM and were seated immediately, they shared that they were short staffed, but service was still fairly quick, especially the kitchen! We loved our burgers, they were cooked as ordered, the fries were crispy, and the special aïoli to go with the sweet potato fries was outstanding! The lamb burger was on special, and I'm so glad I ordered it, it was absolutely delicious! The Thai chili lettuce wraps were flavored so well and delicious, but impossible to eat like a taco. They were just too saucy to pick up, so as long as you're prepared to eat with a fork, definitely order these! The Paleo bowl was less exciting. It definitely lacked some seasoning, and in my opinion, had too much kale, and not enough other varieties of veggies. They had a good amount of beers on tap so we all tried something that we hadn't had before, the restaurant was clean, service friendly, pricing a little high but on par for Tahoe, City, and parking was relatively easy for being on the main drag!

Eugene N.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place. Had a couple of different burgers and few order of onion rings. Everything was great! The price was reasonable if not good for the portion and the quality of the food you get. Burgers were juicy and flavorful. My favorite is the one with the blue cheese crumbles. The onion rings were definitely above the average run of the mil kind. Was so good we had to order 2nds and 3rds. Seats are limited, but they have an outdoor seating area which is fine on a nice day. Overall I would not hesitate to go here again. Especially if you are craving burgers, you can't go wrong here. P.S., their Mac and Cheese options are also satisfying as we tried those too. Kid friendly with few different kid options.

Devon M.

Yelp
Good spot! They have a nice outdoor seating area in their parking lot, perfect for people watching. Our server was very friendly, food was good, drinks were DELICIOUS (I got the tahoe mojito) There's something on the menu for everyone! Definitely recommend for a casual dinner or lunch if you're in Tahoe City.

Niko K.

Yelp
Best experience ever from the moment I walked in I knew this would be the place. All my friends were happily seated and blessed by a very nice waitress and I really enjoyed all the food. Thank you the fat cat for giving us a good experience

Carole C.

Yelp
All went well, great ambiance, service & wonderful food! Friday's they serve Frisky Kitties as a specialty drink....It's such a fun atmosphere & the Cheesesteak sandwich is the best! Thank you!

Karen L.

Yelp
Visited this restaurant during our trip to Tahoe. Overall experience was pleasant. We were seated promptly, and the service was great! Our server went over the most popular items on the menu which made it so much easier for our selections. I ordered the Ahi Salad which was delicious and filling! Also had a bite of the wings, and I must say that they were perfect. Crunchy on the outside but still juicy on the inside. Everyone else's food was praised as well, nothing but good things were said from the rest of my party. The ambiance of the restaurant was very warm and welcoming, would definitely visit again.

Paulie A.

Yelp
The young man a sever was very nice I didn't catch his name. It's Labor Day weekend, so the place was busy. Had the Newport Burger, it was ok. The burger meat was condimented with a spice that was unnecessary. I didn't care for it. The sweet potato fries were good, and beer was cold, which was appreciated.

Doreen C.

Yelp
Came here during our trip to Tahoe for lunch on a Friday and there weren't many people. I ordered the buffalo and blue burger with a side of salad and the burger was really good. I've been craving blue cheese and buffalo for a while and that definitely hit the spot. Our group also ordered a few beers and it was nice and chill and almost had the vibe of a brewery! Our server was pretty nice too, though I think it was just her so she seemed pretty busy. I think for what it is though the food is on the pricier side and it wasn't anything particularly special. Still solid overall though which is why I give this place 4 stars

Cathy Z.

Yelp
Fun "pub" atmosphere with great food...service was spot on and food was yummy...Tahoe affordable place in the hub of the action.

Deepan R.

Yelp
Great food, loved all the sandwiches we had here. The mac n cheese with bacon wqs lovely and so were the sweet potato fries and onion rings. Did not like the regular fries that much. Recommend the chicken wings with Thai chili sauce. Drinks were really good as well. The Ambiance was good tooand Service was really great with the host checking on us and giving great suggestions.

M D.

Yelp
Meow it's good! Flavorful and tasty that needed a little salt added to their fried chicken and salmon. Overall it's was really good. Friday at 1:45-2pm got seated right away. There is indoor and outdoor seating options. We sat outside to enjoy the weather. Our waiter was kind and attentive, but we did have to wait a bit to be checked out. I think they only have one waiter for outside. Since this restaurant is on the main downtown street. The surrounding streets and sidewalks are busy with people walking by cars zooming by. We ordered the 1.Mac and cheese balls that came with ranch and Siracha Mayo dip (so good) 2.) fired chicken sandwich 3.) salmon BLT. Parking: in front of the restaurant there is a small parking lot. You may or may not get a parking spot . We parked on the street and walked to this restaurant. It' was easier parking on the street then in a parking lot. I would eat here again. I wanna try the donut burger!

Aaron D.

Yelp
Great Chilli cheese Dog ever just for that is worth coming. Jessica was so delightful made me feel like she having me over for dinner. Just a wonderful server

Ashwarya S.

Yelp
My family and I stopped by Fat Cat for a quick bite as we arrived into North Tahoe. Our server was lovely but the premises left a lot to be desired- our tables were sticky and wobbly and there were flies everywhere! We got a few different dishes to share: - Garlic Parmesan Tacos: Lovely, it's quite hard to mess up fries. - Thai Chili Vegan Tacos- The beyond meat in the tacos tasted of freezer burn and completely ruined the taste of the tacos. - Homemade Mac N cheese- Salty - Brie and Fig Grilled Cheese- Not actually grilled, the brie cheese was completely cold within the sandwich. - Blackened Ahi Salad- Blackened to the point that a few of the pieces were actually inedible. Shortly after leaving Fat Cat, my cousin (who only ate this salad) developed intense, sharp abdominal pain and had multiple episodes of diarrhea. Clearly this fish was not fresh or safe for consumption. Overall, lots of problems here and not a place I would recommend anyone to visit on their next trip over.

J H.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful server and great atmosphere, the food and drinks are super good! Wow what an awesome spot so glad we picked it for our first night on vacation! We got a hat for a souvenir. Thank you Fat Cat !

Adriana A.

Yelp
This review is for drinks only. First time here but it certainly won't be last time. We stopped by to watch the end of the basketball game. Sadly we had just eaten. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled delicious. The service, ambience, and location are great. The space is small but comfortable. The cocktails were ok. A little too sweet for my taste. I love the whimsical use of words. They offer cat-sup, no ketchup. And cat-tails. LOL. Planning on going back and reviewing food next time.

Rae Lynn Z.

Yelp
Stopped for a late lunch on a drive around Lake Tahoe. It was a random choice because we found parking, which is a challenge on a summer weekend day! We started with an order of the Buffalo Mac & Cheese Balls (yum). I had the monthly special which was a Crabby Patty (burger with soft shelled crab) and my companion had the Crawfish Grilled Cheese and we both upgraded our fries to the Garlic Parmesan. The burger and sandwich were good, although the crawfish didn't seem blackened as advertised. The fries were a disappointment, neither of us tasted any garlic and there were no green onions as described on the menu. Service was friendly.

Rima R.

Yelp
After long drive finally we went to this restaurant, food was delicious.Ambiance was friendly.

Lee P.

Yelp
Pros: Great food and served quickly. Friendly service as well. The cajun chicken sandwich and donut bread pudding are my favorite menu items. Cons: The outside tables near the street could use some extra cleaning. They are getting a bit gross. Also please add more options with your crawfish. (Or just be more accommodating). The kitchen was unwilling to charge me for them as a topping. Come on people!

Cyber B.

Yelp
Well-made drinks, nicely priced, helpful staff and cozy ambiance. Limited menu though,

Dhriti C.

Yelp
We were going on a drive around the lake Tahoe, and we decided to stop by Tahoe city to try out a nice restaurant for lunch. Although we reached a little bit late closer to 4 PM, they were super courteous and they served as well. We ordered a salmon burger, blackened chicken sandwich and some fries. Everything was very good. On the salmon burger, the avocado was a nice add on. Not a fan of the bun, it would've been nicer to have a sesame bun. 3.5/5. The blackened chicken sandwich was so flavorful and tasty. 5/5. The fries had some truffle and garlic butter on them, super good too!

Alexandra S.

Yelp
from start to finish, this bar and grill exceeded our expectations. Before our drive out to Reno, we stopped to get some food and got there right around the time they opened but they were so welcoming and kind. We decided to order bloody Mary's to start & I dont think I've ever had a better one in my life. I prefer them on the spicy side and it was absolutely perfect! For lunch my boyfriend & I both ordered burgers - I got a burger with blue cheese & my boyfriend got a bbq burger (I believe) We got fries and ranch on the side and their ranch is AMAZING!!! Burgers were cooked perfectly, food was wonderful, and it was a great environment. Thank you guys so much!!!

W B.

Yelp
First time here today. After a day at the lake, we were too tired to cook. We ordered our dinner to go. The gentlemen working the bar came out from behind the bar and greeted us. He was polite and obviously busy. The inside looked nice and clean. Limited seating outside. Our food was ready within the 15 minutes they stated. The crawfish mac&cheese was great. What a surprise. Great flavor and not heavy at all. Funny thing is we saw kids pulling crawfish out of the lake today. The burgers were good and so were the french&sweet potato fries. Definitely a place to go back to again.

Monica G.

Yelp
2nd time visiting as we were craving burgers. The food came in pretty quickly and the service was good. The burgers were a okay to the price. My cowboy burger was a bit over cooked but still juicy. The jumbo wings were not really big and were a bit on the dry side.

Yelp
It's open on a Tuesday! Already earning points there because if you're in Tahoe City looking for food on a Tuesday you'll quickly and sadly learn tons of places are closed Tuesdays. On to the food. Overall nothing wrong with the food but it just didn't blow us away. I super appreciated the gluten free bun alternative and it worked well for my salmon burger. My husband had the cowboy burger and ordered it cooked to "red" as the menu instructs you to order with specific terms. It's a bummer that they didn't even get their own instructions right - it was closer to well done. He also needed to ask for more BBQ sauce because they put a very sad little amount on it. There was a hair in his side kale salad....however we liked that there was a nice alternative to your typical side salad. We felt like things were a little overpriced. Our son's kids meal was mini corn dogs and fries (super cute severed in a little plant pot") for $10. I don't know that just seems a bit much. Our burgers were in the neighborhood of $18 which we felt would have been worth it had they knocked our socks off. I'm not sure we'd return however we did like that service was fast and friendly and again open on a Tuesday!

Yelp
Nice cozy tavern at Tahoe City. Great selection of craft brews and nice menu options including they standard burger fare, but also some favorites. I enjoyed a scrumptious paleo bowl with a healthy portion of salmon for protein. Great place for a stop after skiing or anytime!
