This is the most inconsistent opinionated review I've ever had to write and I have very mixed feelings about even having to write this in general. Let's get straight to the point, I'm 41 years old now and since I'm not in my 20's, going to this chain is not ever one of my ideas of fun anymore (expect for the one in Key West on Duval Street). When I first moved to Fort Lauderdale when I was 27, this location embarrassed me by telling me that my ID from Tennessee (where I moved from) was fake and kicked me out. They also tried keeping my ID which I begged to have returned to the point I had to ask the police officer inside at the time to have the staff member return it to me (which they did after the officer investigated my ID ((which took way longer than I wanted to wait around)) and told them my ID was in fact real). At the time, I had not been drinking since I had just got off from work and was meeting friends at this location to have a drink. This location is perfect for people watching and overlooking the beautiful ocean view. Despite my initial interaction with this bar, I went back multiple times in the 13 years I lived nearby when my friends suggested it. The service and drinks were always consistent to this chain despite sometimes being very crowded. Just know that parking can be a major pain since everywhere in walking distance is paid with an app and fills up fast, especially on the weekends, holidays, and when festivals are going on like Tortuga. This location is also on the 3rd floor with no bathroom since it shares the location with other retailers and restaurants who all share the same public bathrooms. Also, weirdly enough, once I changed my ID to my current address as a local in Fort Lauderdale, I had zero issues with the staff. Again, I was 27 years old when I first went here and a lot of time has past since then which is why I clarified my experiences returning here. As a local would I go here on the regular? No. Maybe on occassion, if I could walk here, sure. Again, I went back because of my friends wanting to go. I personally do not like frozen cocktails anymore since COVID ruined my sensitivity to cold and sugar but mostly because I do not want to deal with the hassle of parking and then figuring out what way to go up the 3 floors without dealing with the crowd.
