Fata Morgana Studios & Apartments

What a lovely place! One of the few open during the winter and I could easily see myself staying here for the entire season! The rooms are clean, modern, comfortable (equipped with everything we need!), right on the beach (and a lovely one too) - with sea and mountain views all at once (!) and surrounded by olive trees! The proprietor is lovely as well. A gem! There's a fantastic taverna in town and a bakery with killer baklavas - both open year-round, as well as a supermarket. What more does one need ?

Stayed there for one night on our way around Crete. Lovely location, very helpful receptionist, great modern and well-equipped room with beautiful views. Nice restaurant on the site serving delicious Greek food! We would certainly highly recommend it!

We stayed this summer for 4 days and it was fantastic, beautiful area surrounded by olive trees, very sustainable, the rooms were amazing with stunning views and the hostess was very friendly, kind and helpful when we asked for recommendations around the area. The whole place is so peaceful with easy access to the beach and to Taverna - Akti which has delicious meals!! We would 💯 recommend this place and we will be going back for sure !

Excellent place and excellent hosts. A quite corner of crete where you can enjoy the sea and the environment. We stayed in a studio that was spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equiped and the room quiet and with nice view. It is a children freindly space. Fragokastello can be reached in two minutes with the bikes that are offered free of charge. Definately recommended!!!!

We had a lovely stay at Fata Morgana Studios and Apartments. The apartment was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere – truly perfect for a relaxing holiday.||It’s important to note that having a car is essential, as the property is a bit remote and there are no shops or services within walking distance.||The nearby beach is absolutely breathtaking – crystal-clear water and unspoiled natural beauty. However, it has no facilities, so be prepared: there are no sunbeds, umbrellas, toilets, or restaurants.||If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway and don’t mind being a little off the beaten path, this place is a hidden gem. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Fata Morgana has always been a great place to be. We have been going there for more than 25 years, as youngsters, as family with small kids, and know with our teenagers. Always a great experience. The owners match the great location
