I have NEVER in all my life received worse treatment from any restaurant. Even as I sit here writing this, I wonder how it is even possible that a place could be in business. If I could give you negative stars I would. Get ready for the review of the century right here....
The other night I called this location to place a phone order. A man picked up the phone. I asked if I could place an order for pickup and the next thing I know the call clicks off. OK, no worries, it must have disconnected. For the next 15 minutes I continue to call and nobody is answering the phone. Annoying, but not the end of the world. I decide to just get in my car and drive over. I will keep trying to call them on the way. Finally, a lady answers the phone and takes my order as I am pulling up. She was very nice. I ordered a turkey burger completely plain. Hardly a difficult order. Takes about 15 minutes to get the food. The guy at the cash register was in a super pissy mood. Very rude and made it seem like I was inconveniencing him by making him do his job. Again, annoying, but we have all dealt with grumpy employees. I drive back home and open my order and the turkey burger is loaded with everything on it. At this point, I am frustrated, but mistakes happen. I get back in my car and call the store. Here is where the story gets real good....
The same guy who rang me up answered the phone. I calmly and collectively tell him that I just picked up an order from them and it is wrong. I ordered it plain and it is loaded with the works. I tell him I am on the way back to the store with the food and I asked that they please start cooking the burger now so that I can just pull up and grab my food without waiting. The guy says to me "Ok just bring the food to me and show me and I will remake it for you." I tell him no problem at all, I will be back there in 10 minutes with the food, just please begin making it now so I do not have to wait again. He responds "No, I am not going to do that. You bring me the food first and then I will remake it if it is wrong." Thinking there might be some kind of miscommunication, I reassure him that the food he gave me is coming back with me and I am happy to show him the mistake, but I do not want to have to wait again. He says to me "I am not doing anything for you until you come back in here and prove to me that the order is wrong." I tell him that is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. He tells me that is the restaurant policy and that "I made the burger himself and I know that the order was correct. You are lying, so I am not doing anything for you until you come in." I immediately ask to speak to the manager. He claims he is the manager, so I ask him why the manager is the one cooking the burgers. He doesn't respond. He just continues to call me a liar. I tell him that I am going to be calling corporate to report this franchise. He tells me "Go ahead, you think I care?" When I ask him for his name, he says "dont worry about it" and hangs up on me.
NEVER have I been treated like this in the customer service industry. I am still in shock. I urge the owner of this store to contact me to discuss. I am happy to provide you with all of the details so that action can be taken. If I do not hear from anyone in a timely manor, I will be reporting you to corporate and I will make sure everyone knows what happened here. It will be my new life goal to make sure this restaurant's reputation suffers. This is coming from someone with a huge amount of free time and culinary influence. This COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE and I expect someone to make it right by following up with me.
