"Have Some In-House Brew, Bru When you first walk into Father Coffee you may think you've teleported into a small European village, but you'll quickly find yourself at home and back in Jozi with some of their in-house brew, which can also be bought (in packaged form, of course) if you like it that much! It's a great spot to get a morning fixer before a heavy day during the week and works well as a place to meet up with your friends on the weekend for a quick snack before heading out to the market next door or an inner city tour. This place reminds me a lot of one of my favourite haunts in Cape Town , The Loading Bay. The only thing missing is the Mountain."
First time visiting South Africa. And during my stay I meet a someone who was giving me suggests of things to do. And it was suggest that Father coffee makes the best coffee in the country. Strong and smooth coffee beverages with a friendly staff. Location in a small section on the block, perfect setting for a coffee break.

Good coffee, the menu looked great although I didn't eat - lots of good breakfast options, sandwich type things and sweet treats. The atmosphere is nice if a bit small - benches and tables. It's quite good for meetings if a bit loud at times.

Feel free to ask them for recommendations on new blends. Just been there today and was surprised by the new offerings. I've been taking their
Heirloom blend for the longest time (and love it) but I've been pleasantly surprise by the Konga Party offering. Its Ethiopian (Yirgacfeffe). Brewed it this afternoon and its great. Go ahead - Try something different man, Maybe you'll love it!

I had the most appalling service here. The barista would barely speak to me either to recommend a coffee or to kindly give me the wifi. The coffee is awesome, but if you don't like people, please don't go into business.

I spent less than 5 minutes at the spot and I instantly reviewed my approach to Customer Service.
I'm usually a hasty person but being there calmed me down without being told to.
Really thankful to have had such an experience.

Trendy crowd and place. Right in the centre of things. Conveniently close to The Orbit Jazz Lounge, the Stevenson Gallery and the Kalashnikov Art Gallery. Fantastic coffee - some of the best in Johannesburg.

Maybe there’s a better coffee to be found in SA but not in my experience. From the impeccable service to the perfectly consistent delivery, every cup has been fantastic.
