Pierluigi and his team are absolutely exceptional! He created a wonderful experience for our wedding in July with a traditional live millefoglie cake. Millefoglie has always been my husband’s and my favorite, as we both grew up having it as our birthday cakes. When Pierluigi was able to create this as our wedding cake live, it meant so much to us. Not only was it exceptionally delicious—light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—but our guests still can’t stop talking about it. It was truly the highlight of our wedding reception. Pierluigi and his team also created custom decorative breads for our bread table during cocktail hour. The display was so detailed and beautifully arranged, and the bread itself was just as delicious. We have been coming to Fatto a Mano Bakery for awhile, and everything is always crafted to perfection. The sourdough, focaccia, biscotti, pastries, cappuccino, olive oil cake—you name it—are the closest you’ll get to being in Italy, and every bite is absolutely delicious. Plus, the panettone during Christmas time is now a staple in our family! Using the simplest yet highest quality ingredients, Pierluigi crafts everything to perfection. He is so kind and a truly wonderful person, and you can tell he pours so much passion and love into everything he creates! We always look forward to visiting his bakery and enjoying all the treats. Thank you so much, Pierluigi—grazie mille!

Lovely Service, great indoor & outdoor seating area. The Cornettos have a wonderful soft , flakey, & fresh taste. Good quality selections of authentic Italian baked goods.

The sweet and spicy sandwich at fatto a mano is phenomenal! This was my first experience having cherry mostarda - an Italian style fruit mustard - and I was truly impressed. The bread is thin and the soppressata is present, but not overwhelming. The pistachio mousse was a visually stunning, unique treat. I look forward to trying more of their pastries and their fresh pasta!

$17 for an 8 inch focaccia that was both oily and dry. I understand that focaccia is an oily bread, but this went through the paper they lined the bag with, through the bag, and soaked into the seat of my car. In addition to the bread being over baked, it had the most enormous chunks of salt on it that I have ever seen. Every bite that contained one was an unpleasant salt bomb. I love salt, but these were just too much especially with the very salt olives.

Definitely not worth the hype. Drove over an hour to try this place and was extremely disappointed. The food options are pre-made and laid out to pick, as if I were at a starbucks. To top it off, they’re served cold, they don’t offer to heat them up and they look like they’ve been sitting there for quite some time. We first tried the savoury cornetto and pizzette which were served to us cold, straight off the counter. This was a major turnoff because their we had higher expectations based on what we paid. Next we tried the pistachio entremet which was good but still not worth driving more than 20 mins for. We also tried their hot and cold drinks, but once again, nothing to rave about. This place is really just a hype. For those who want a truly good breakfast/brunch/bakery experience - Doro Marketplace is a MUST try!! I would recommend them over fatto a mano any day!

Went here Saturday morning as I had heard good things, We had some lovely pastries and bought a very good loaf of sourdough. So that's the good, the bad was the coffee! I had really high hopes, they buy from Ilse who are an amazing local roaster so they had all the ingredients to make a great shot. I ordered a takeaway Americano with space for milk, because I just wanted a strong coffee. The barista acknowledged the order when handing me my drink but he had already filled right to the rim. The picture is after I took the lid off spilling a decent amount over my hand. You can see how over diluted and weak it is. I'm not sure why baristas feel the need to fill the cup up so much, the resulting drink was thin and unpleasant.

My family and I have been ordering from Pierluigi for several years now, and his artisanal and authentic Christmas panettone has quickly become the highlight of our holiday. He bakes everything fresh by hand and is truly talented. We are so fortunate to have a taste of Italy in CT! Looking forward to his new cafe in 2025!

We took the sourdough class and had such a great time. Chef Pierluigi is such a great teacher and the bread we baked came out AMAZING! We celebrated the end the 2024 baking class season with (fresh mozzarella made at the begging of the class) fresh yummy assortment of cheeses, prosciutto and a bevy of fabulous spreads and BREAD! We can't wait for Chef Pierluigi to start his 2025 classes!
