My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary in Italy, and our stay at Fattoria San Martino was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were warmly welcomed by Karin, whose kindness and attentiveness made us feel instantly at home. Every corner of the estate exudes care and artistry. Our room, like the rest of the property, was meticulously designed with an effortless blend of rustic charm and refined elegance. You can truly feel the love and craftsmanship that went into every detail — from the textures and furnishings to the serene ambiance that surrounds you. We chose to dine on-site in their beautiful dining space, and though neither of us are vegetarians, the food completely blew us away. Each dish was a work of art — vibrant, fresh, and bursting with flavor. It was one of the most memorable meals of our entire trip. Every member of the staff was warm, genuine, and eager to make our experience special. We even tried to extend our stay but weren’t surprised to find the rooms fully booked — once you experience this place, you’ll understand why. Fattoria San Martino is more than a place to stay — it’s an experience that nourishes your soul. We will absolutely return and hope this beautiful treasure continues to thrive for years to come.

Had an amazing 2 night stay here and can’t say enough good things. The grounds are beautiful, our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious and the perfect way to start our day. We’re so glad we decided to try dinner at the restaurant on site, every course was so well thought out and you could tell how fresh all of the ingredients were.

Staying at Fattoria San Martino was an absolute highlight of our Italian holiday! We spent 4 nights here, and did not want to leave! The views are just stunning, it was such an oasis in between visiting Florence and Rome. The food was all incredible, we did the half board option, and each night dinner was 4 courses, all vegan and delicious and creative dishes. We also did a pasta cooking class with Karin which was so fun. Karin and her team are all so lovely and made our stay very special, and Cosetta the dog was a cutie who loved getting pats off everyone. If you are without a car, the walk into town is about 20mins uphill so be prepared but it is very doable and it is lovely exploring Montepulciano town centre.

Hidden in the peaceful Tuscan countryside, Fattoria San Martino is a true gem for anyone looking to slow down and enjoy honest, nourishing food. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, with kind people who make you feel instantly at home. We stopped for a lunch. The risotto with zucchini, olives, and a drizzle of pure olive oil, absolutely fantastic. The touch of freshly grated lemon zest made it bright and refreshing, the perfect dish for a hot summer day. The quality of the local ingredients really comes through in every bite, and you leave feeling both satisfied and well. A place that truly feeds both body and soul.

In July I spent a week at Mrs. Karin’s property with my family and it was unforgettable. At first we were unsure because there is little online information and the vegan menu gave us pause. Tuscany is famous for its cinghiale and Montepulciano has incredible salumerias just minutes away, so non-vegans will not miss out on local specialties. Still, I highly recommend having at least one dinner with Karin. I am not vegan and I loved every dish she served. The property is stunning and filled with thoughtful details. What makes it truly special is the comfort. Karin understands what luxury means for Americans: strong air conditioning, endless hot water, and spaces designed so you never feel overheated. The natural pool was perfect in the July heat, and the rooms were always relaxing. We traveled with grandparents, adults in our 30s, and a child, and everyone had the best time. Rent small cars to explore the Tuscan towns, then come back for Karin’s pasta class (available upon request) and her charming shop. This is paradise, with comfort, style, and soul. We only came here for dinner but based on the stellar food and atmosphere I absolutely plan on coming back for a stay here. The dinner we had was not only one of the best we had during our trip, it was one of the best meals I've ever had period. I was blown away by the flavors and freshness of the food. And the whole place was so relaxing and beautiful. Can't wait to come back!

This is one of the most special and magical places we have EVER stayed. In the foothills of Montepulciano, with stunning views over the rolling hills - but walkable into town!! Karin and are team are so warm, welcoming and friendly, happy to chat, share local suggestions or just answer your questions about the area or property. Karin is SO cool and has created a beautiful oasis- nothing is ever too much bother to make your experience special. The bonus is her cute dog cosetta that follows her around and comes find you for pats! The food is incredible, although vegetarian, it’s bursting with flavour and made with so much love and attention, some of the best food we ate in Tuscany! Lastly the size of the place makes it feel intimate and all the guests were so friendly, we all chatted and hung out at the pool at dinner which felt special. The natural pool is so gorgeous for a dip after a hot afternoon in the town, Basically stay here, you won’t regret it! I cried when I left because I had such a nice time .

We had an amazing vegan meal - they prepared 5 courses for our table of 6 vegans, and each course was better than the next. Everything was so fresh - so many ingredients straight from their garden. We sat outside and enjoyed an incredible evening! Perfect!!
