Fauchon Hotel Kyoto

What a treat!!! This is one of the best hotel we stay at in Japan and loving it!! The services were at the top!! Above First class!! Every staffs at this hotel were eager to help!! They all make sure they exceed our expectations!! LOVE the cookies/chocolate/teas in the room!! That's a plus and extremely nice treats!! |Jin Kim provided excellent service when we check in!! Our room was upgraded, so nicely decorated, clean and super quiet, including the hallway, there's no housekeeper knocking our door in the morning, in fact, you wont see any housekeepers at all and our room was all clean when we return after a day touring Kyoto!! Our breakfast!! On our first day, whatever you requested, they make sure to provided the same the following days during your stay which mean you do not need to request ie Ketchup every morning for your potatoes or eggs!!!|No hotel will match Fauchon and we will be returning for sue!!

This boutique hotel in the middle of Kyoto was a perfect place to experience the city. It was situated along one of the main shopping streets and had access to restaurants in easy walking distance. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. We found the staff to be very efficient and accommodating. At the end of our stay it felt like we had made some friends and were sad to leave. The majority of the staff we dealt with had some understanding of English and a few were very fluent. We will be returning to the city of Kyoto and we will be staying at the Fauchon Hotel.

The Fauchon Hotel Kyoto serves well as a starting point for Kyoto visitors. On the one hand it is reachable by a short walk from the main shopping district, historic Gion, and the beautiful Eastern temple neighbourhoods, on the other hand it is right next to a picturesque stream in a rather calm quarter.||The first thing visitors notice upon arrival is the strong fixation on pink in the entire building's design. Also the Fauchon pâtisserie shop serves as a trademark. ||Check-in was efficient, even though not exactly friendly. The room itself was beautiful and spacious, despite dust in some areas and stains on the carpet, general cleanliness was good. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom delightful. The ventilation did not seem to work properly, since windows were wet regularly. For the famous snack bar, it is clear that compared to our friends' previous visit, the selection had been strongly reduced and the connection to its French pâtisserie origins seems to slowly fade.||Limitation is also the most suitable word to describe breakfast: Very limited selection and amounts of food at good quality, except for the bread, which would make every French breakfast manager blush from shame.||Yet, on two of our three days, breakfast service was marvellous, with Kyoto native Tomoe leading the way. She touched our souls with her delightful omnipresence.||Also, downstairs, in the welcome area, service was friendly and helpful at all times, and special requests were fully taken care of at any time.||In total, even though not everything went perfect, we were satisfied with the stay and would return for our next Kyoto stay.

We had a lovely stay at this new hotel. Outstanding attention to detail - from the gift boxes filled with delicious sweets to the breakfast boxes that were made up when we had to leave for an early start. This hotel is very good value for money - especially when you get a flash sale rate. |The beds were comfortable, great sound proofing|We stayed in a prestige suite and the rest of the family in delux suites - we all had a fab view. If you are looking for a quality hotel that is personal and classy this is the place for you. Considering the hefty price tag of well known hotel options such as the Ritz and Park Hyatt - we were incredibly happy with our stay at this property!

Well located hotel with very helpful staff. Clean big and well equipped rooms, very good location close to a bus stop, metro line and many attractions and restaurants. A little bit overpriced in my personal opinion.

It’s a lovely hotel with nice staff and quiet rooms. All is very clean and food is delicious. However, the space is somewhat reduced in hall ways and rooms.||The hotel is on walking distance of the main local restaurants street where you can have the local cuisine which is very much recommended.
