Fauchon Hotel Kyoto

Really enjoyed our stay at the Fauchon Hotel in Kyoto. The staff were super friendly and easygoing, always helpful and giving us advice for our stay in kyoto. Check in was very smooth, breakfast service was great, and everyone made us feel welcome. The hotel itself is beautiful and very child friendly. The hotels location is great and in a perfect place to explore Kyoto, it’s a great place to stay if you want to be in the best spot near every thing. Excellent experience from start to finish. The Fauchon Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way.|The staff deserves special mention—they were attentive, genuinely helpful, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Whether it was restaurant recommendations, directions, or handling requests, they anticipated needs and responded with real warmth. You can tell it's a team that takes pride in their work.|The hotel itself is beautifully appointed with thoughtful details throughout. The rooms are comfortable and well-designed, with all the amenities you'd expect from a quality property. The location is convenient, and the overall atmosphere strikes a nice balance between sophisticated and inviting.|The breakfast was excellent (if you're doing that option), and the common areas are pleasant spaces to spend time. Everything felt well-maintained and clean.|If I had to be nitpicky, there's nothing that really stood out as needing improvement. This is the kind of hotel where you notice what's going right—the seamless service, the attention to detail—rather than problems.|I'd definitely recommend the Fauchon Hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo, whether you're there for business or leisure. It's the kind of place that makes you feel looked after without being intrusive. Highly worth booking.

The Fauchon is ideally located, a 10 minute walk from central shopping district and a 15 minute walk from Gion. It’s also close to some of the most important cultural sights. The rooms are modern and beautifully appointed in trendy black, white, and pink. Our king bed was super comfortable. The bathroom has a very large shower and a separate toilet stall. There is one sink. We had a beautiful view of the river and Higashiyama mountains during the day and flickering lanterns at night. If available, get a Mountain View room. Finally, and most importantly, the service is warm, friendly, and impeccable.

The service at this small hotel is really topnotch. Very enthusiastic and capable staff. Amazing people! Breakfast wasnt buffet style which is ok We could choose from severel dishes and the ones we had (teriyaki chicken) were really good. Room was very nice and quiet. Location was very central, close to everything. Overall, a fantastic hotel ,well worth the stay in Kyoto

This place is a gem. Upon arrival I was not sure if we were close enough to the Gion section. After a walk about, I realized this location is perfect because it is midway between super touristy Gion and a Japanese residential area filled with authentic wares and antiques. Really nice stores in the other direction including world renowned tea shop, clothing boutiques, etc. As for the hotel, well, in true Japanese fashion, they cater to one’s needs and service is at the forefront. Immaculate spacious rooms, cocktail bar, and dining done to specs. On a personal note, my wife became ill with a minor infection and Japan is funny with what medications you’re allowed to bring into country; not to worry the Hotel Management connected her with a doctor in Tokyo who was a resident at a hospital and after a thorough consultation sent a script to solve the issue. The Hotel dealt with the pharmacy, picked up and delivered the script. More than reasonable and all with intense and meaningful pleasant concern. Very nice people here. I would stay here again and again. Breakfast is hearty and plenty of western offerings. We ventured out for lunches and dinner on the go, but I would imagine the dining is favorable. Also an excellent cafe inside hotel on first floor offering coffee, espresso, capuchino, lattes, matcha-lattes, etc. One may also get a glass of wine and croc messier, light bites here. Nice option if you want a lighter, quick bite.

Have been staying many 5-star hotel in Kyoto. This is one of the best hotels. 10/5 for room. UX and layout in the room is just Perfect! 5/5 for Location 5/5 for Services 5/5 for Food in the restaurants and in-room dining Just one small pitfall, the breakfast could be improved. Especially the Japanese choices, could be more photogenic/instagramable or in a Bento style. Many people choose the hotel by its breakfast.

The Fauchon was a truly great find in Kyoto. The hotel is lovely with beautiful rooms and decor.They made our 30th anniversary celebration really special.The hotel staff was warm and welcoming. They even went out of the way to help when medical attention was needed. The transportation arranged for our arrival and departurewas perfect. The breakfast was a highlight of the day. The room amenities included coffee, tea, and pastries. How nice!We can’t wait to visit again. 

We had an incredible time at Fauchon, and the team really went above and beyond. The room itself was beautiful, and the baked goods when we arrived made for a wonderful welcoming touch. Yuki welcomed us into the hotel and checked us in gracefully. He asked us about any allergies we had, and sent up gluten free snacks for my wife. It was our 6th wedding anniversary, which we mentioned in passing during check-in, and Yuki surprised us with a note and a happy anniversary message written on our mirror that made our evening our second day! We also have to call out Jin, who helped us ship our luggage onward to our next hotel. We asked her our first night, and she arranged everything with our next hotel ahead of time, so that we just brought down our luggage when we were ready the next day; she already had the destination labels prepared.

What a great find! This hotel was exquisite. When you enter, you are greeted by the concierge who will escort you to the elevator. They tell you that the reception desk is on the 10th floor, and your luggage will be waiting for you in your room. They will swipe their card, press the 10th floor button, and you're on your way to a great stay. While checking in, you're brought macarons and tea. The bar is across the room. The check-in process is quick. The staff are all so friendly and hospitable. Room service is unbelievably quick. Granted, we only ordered champagne, but it was in our room in less than 10 minutes. This hotel is luxurious, but not pretentious. I look forward to returning next year!
