Faversham House

I highly recommend NOT to stay here as we & others complained that they had alot of issues with there amenities in their rooms ! We arrived after a long drive only to be welcomed by a very untidy walkway from carpark up the stairs were long weed's, leaves, fern branches across the walkway !! The middle fountain was clearly not working, a mess. The koi fish pond was extremely dirty you can hardly see the fish, leaves strewn all over the place ! We opened the door of our room which was very hot being summer only to discover the air-conditioning had not been turned on ! Curtain backing were torn & just hanging on, Curtains would not close fully. We had No shower head on, so were asked to use the shower in a dirty room (down the long corridor) that was not cleaned all the time we stayed at this place & still had to pay the full cost of the room & our ensuite with NO SHOWER ....the local hardware was open all long weekend but the owner chose not go down there & buy a shower head for our room apparently he had to play in a band .... you might want to get your Business priorities right before doing that ....Very poor !!! IN saying this ... the bed was very comfortable & soft & room / bathroom was clean & large. Unfortunately I do not recommend this place! It once was a beautiful charming place 10 or so years ago.. but who knows it might be sold to a more pro active person.

Beautiful heritage home lovingly restored. Great central place to stay while exploring York. Kim was a great host making us feel right at home and taking the time to give us a very informative tour of the old manor house. Would love to have stayed for longer.

A great opportunity to stay in a historic and comfortable grand home in the Shire of York. Truly feels like a step back in time in the best possible way. Very comfortable, peaceful and our host, Kim, made us feel very welcome. Breakfast in the formal dining room was delicious. Our sincere thanks and best wishes to Kim.

The new owners are just wonderful!! We booked the entire mansion for my Dads 80th and can't say enough good things about our stay! The rooms are spotless, the food was all so delicious and the cooked breakfast with a homemade granola in the morning was better than anything we have ever had in Perth. Really impressed by the proper hollandaise sauce on the eggs too. The place is totally charming and we really enjoyed the separate pool stable space after dinner. We were made to feel right at home. THANK YOU Emerson and Kim. We will be back!!

We booked Faversham for 60th birthday. They exceeded expectations. Totally brilliant. Friendly, professional and accomodating. Certainly will be back. Beds are comfy bathrooms spotless and the grounds are exciting. Close to town. Easy going and relaxing

Absolutely beautiful experience! The manor is historically one of York’s best kept properties with a past worthy of the storyline. The new owners Emerson and Kim were wonderful, an extremely talented couple. Note that breakfast is well above a five star restaurant rating. Will definitely return for a longer stay.

Another fantastic weekend at this beautiful old home. Emerson and Kim are the best hosts ever. This was our second visit in six months. A very relaxing vibe and the breakfast is absolutely yummy every time. We will be returning again very very soon 😀

Step back in time, leave your worries behind you and relax. This is an amazingly elegant and comfortable home decorated in the appropriate era for this stately home. Gorgeous linens, sumptuous drapes and lovely antiques pieces compliment each rooms decor. Head downstairs to the dining room, the drawing room or the library. Possibly meet up with the elegant and entertaining Emerson or perhaps catch up with the talented Kim, while he plays one of the instruments in the drawing room, or dining room. This is an experience not to be missed. The gardens are sensational too, and the breakfasts are simply superb. Thank you so much Emerson and Kim.
