This is the most wonderful place to stay in the heart of Livingstone. Perfect location for sights, shops, restaurants, and onward travel to other African countries. They have created a homely feel, which creates a sociable space for meeting other travelers (lone or small groups) whilst also privacy for those who are looking for a quiet time. Great place to meet with other travelers, The hotel itself provides a fantastic array of options including eat-in, eat-out, and their amazingly kitted-out open-air kitchen for self-catering option. The famous, homemade, free afternoon crepes are a must! The staff are attentive and respond immediately to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Special thanks go to Mike at the bar and Joy at the reception - they provided the best customer service I've experienced in a very long time - Fawlty Towers, hold on to these staff - they definitely enhanced our visit. Grateful to enjoy their hospitality and highly recommend. I hope I will be able to return.

There are some positives about this place: good value for back packers or those looking to self cater; nice pool and well kept grounds; rooms are clean, simple and nice. It’s a ‘city centre’ location so very convenient to ATM, supermarket and nice local restaurants like Sea Spice. ||On the downside its location means you are in central livingstone so it’s on a main road. If you can afford one of the locations on the river then stay there. We travelled every evening to these places to chill. ||The unusual downside was that overall it just wasn’t a very welcoming place. They weren’t rude but just repeatedly not very helpful or considerate. The small things just built up. We left not feeling welcomed which is not great.

Really enjoyed my stay a Fawlty Towers. Very pleasant and comfortable accommodation. Breakfast was included and I really loved the Granola and yogurt pots. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. My only request would be that they put pool railings for stepping in and out of the pool. I loved the pool but it was hard for me to get in and out.

Absolutely exceptional. Fawlty Towers is a slice of paradise. The pool is fabulous, the cafe & bar are great, and the rooms and grounds are gorgeous. Everything we could have hoped for for a relaxing 4 days. Mike, the bartender, is an absolute champion - providing excellent conversation and friendly service to all guests. Cafe 'Basil' makes fabulous pizzas and pancakes, which were a highlight of our days. Joy at the front desk was very warm and welcoming, and showed us some room options and gave us a tour of the grounds before we committed to booking. A huge thanks to the Fawlty Towers Team! 🙏

Definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Livingstone. The location and facilities (including the pool!) are great and the service was exceptional. The bar has a good selection and homemade pizza during the afternoon and evening is a big plus. We were able to book activities through Fawlty Towers ahead of our stay and they helped us with airport transfers too. A huge thanks to Miriam, Mike, Prince and the rest of the team for looking after us so well!

Excellent stay. Barman Mike is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Rooms clean and good value. Pizza was very delicious. Location is good. Big shoprite opposite too, which was useful. We walked to Livingstone museum, was just 10 mins away. Only area for improvement - I organised a transfer well in advance from the airport, but it did not show up (until I called to prompt after waiting 20 minutes). This should be better managed to avoid people (incl. solo females) being stranded, especially at night. Nb. The hotel accepts ‘pack for a purpose’ items so worth checking what items are requested so you can bring them along to support local community needs.

The hotel staff are very hepful and friendly. The central courtyard is beautfully looked after gardens with trees, shade, a nice pool and at night a fire oit. The Cafe and bar are very comfortable. My room had air con, en suite with hot shower, good mosquito net and comfortable bed. Step outside and there are shops, cafe and restuarants all around. Its a short distance to local attractions and markets.A great place to stay in a lovely city.

I really liked Fawlty Towers. We decided to stay one more night in Livingstone and changed from Jollyboys Backpackers to Fawlty Towers. It felt like a safe haven after Jollyboys. Actually friendly staff, nobody stealing our stuff and pizza and drinks for good price. They got a pool as well and a nice, peaceful yard. I really recommend Fawlty Towers.
