Cute lil diner that has some grocery options up for purchase. I got the seasoned potatoes and they were tasty, filling, and gluten free. Will be back to try the protein salad and purchase some peppermint salt.

Very cute spot. Great service and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming. I really enjoyed my carbonated latte and the biscuit breakfast sandwich that I ordered!

All I can say is: WOW! We visited on the day they were hosting guest chef, Joshua Lanning, and everything was phenomenal. I ordered the eggs benedict sandwich and a strawberry cruller, my son ordered biscuits and gravy (that's a real sausage gravy, folks, and seasoned perfectly), and my partner ordered the hot honey fried chicken sandwich (not pictured). I also ordered a London fog and my partner had a latte with lavender and vanilla house made syrup. It was all SO good! The ingredients were high quality and delicious. Everything was seasoned beautifully. The drinks were perfectly made, that's one of the best London fog's I've ever had. Overall, eating here is a delightful experience. It's refreshing to have such high quality eating in southern Illinois where so many other places have standards that are just 'good enough'. Faye clearly strives for excellence, and it shows.

Fantastic boutique breakfast cafe. I am so glad that Faye opened in Murphy. This truly is a wonderful addition to southern Illinois. I can see this being a destination for anyone who wants to make a good impression on out of town guests. Lattes were $5-6 and were quite good but a little sweet. Portions are great for the price. Very decadent food for the area with luxury feel and presentation. Dine in, take out, and even a drive through! But still feels like a great place to leisurely enjoy your morning. Highly recommended by me.

Great atmosphere for a quick snack, warm coffee or hardy lunch. Good for individuals or families. The interior is bright and inviting giving the older building a great new look. Just wish Faye' was in my hometown!!

We came Sunday and it was good. But then we came again Monday, had the same girl working, and it was horrible. When we paid, the blonde drive thru girl was very snobby. Our drinks were overfilled, and the lids weren’t on, so the drinks spilt. We went in to ask for new lids and some napkins, and the girl ignored us until we repeated ourselves. When she finally got us our lids, the cool guy from the back came around and whispered, looking straight at us. They both laughed while looking at me. It’s such a cute place, and the coffee is really good, but for some reason the service today was TERRIBLE. It’s giving high school mean girls. Not cool.

We come down with family from the New York area once or twice a year and ever since Fayes opened it's been a staple for my three kids and wife. Best breakfast spot in a two hour radius I'm sure!

Yelp
I love a good soup and sandwich cafe and I think Faye has the whole package: chic, farmhouse decor, bright, airy dining space, a small market of curated kitchen goods and, of course, delicious food! I got a you-pick-two with red pepper soup and a strawberry salad. While I was deciding, my eyes wandered over to the baked goods (this is absolutely a trend with me) and I saw a peanut butter pretzel cookie....whaaaaat? No way this wasn't going in my belly! Then I glanced over to the drink case and I saw....Topo Chico! In Murphysville, IL?!? This place stands out for curating the best in a small town. Now I'm really excited for my lunch! And it did not disappoint. The red pepper soup was roasty and hearty, definitely a good choice for this chilly weather. And the strawberry salad was fresh and refreshing. Does that make sense? The ingredients were so fresh and crisp - sweet strawberries in January I'd no small feat! - but it was light and hit the perfect note as an accompaniment to the red pepper soup. And that cookie? Do I even need to tell you how delicious it was? I didn't even offer my friend a bite. I ate the whole thing and I'm not ashamed. So good! A delicious lunch and nice respite in a small Illinois town. Worth going out of your way, for sure!

Yelp
Cute cafe with amazing food. The homemade biscuits are fantastic, and the French toast is unique and much heavier than others - very good homemade French toast

Yelp
This is a bright, open concept, modern industrial style eatery. They have a drive-thru. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and find a seat. They will give you a table number and bring your order when it is ready. The menu is small but fresh. We got the Asian salad and added chicken. The French toast and a side of butter ($1 extra). My daughter came shortly after and ordered a turkey on ciabata. First impression was that everyone was very friendly and smiled. No one was standing around doing nothing. Our order came out and it looked delicious. My grandkids split the French toast and couldn't finish it. It was delightful. Fresh strawberries, bananas and toasted pecans atop a thick bread, sister with powder sugar and an amazing homemade syrup. The salad I would give a 4 star. Definitely fresh. Crisp cabbage, edamame, broccoli, cucumbers, carrots, mandarin slices and a small grilled chicken breast. First off, I'm not a fan of getting a salad on a small plate. It looks beautiful but just isn't practical to eat without the tower of veggies falling off the plate. Secondly, I think the dressing needs more oomph. It's just lacking in flavor. Although a good salad, I think this one missed the mark a little. When our food was brought out, the server only brought 2 napkin set ups even though there were 3 of us. So I had to get up and get an extra fork and napkins for my meal. My daughter came shortly after we got our food and ordered a turkey ciabata. It came out promptly (didn't get a picture). The bread was amazing. The sandwich was warm. The textures were perfect. Truly delightful! I would order again! The place was very clean and welcoming. The bathrooms, as my grandson said, were beautiful... And clean. The one other thing I am not a fan of, but I know this is becoming more common, is the expected tip BEFORE service. I'm sorry, but I don't do that. Carry Cash and tip accordingly after service. My daughter got the tip on her order, but again... Just my thoughts. Go enjoy this place. I will need to come back and try the biscuit wand gravy because it looks amazing.

Yelp
People were very nice, place is super cute and the food is tasty! They even let me order a margi!

Yelp
Very clean establishment ! Had the BLT and Blueberry salad and was pleasantly surprised! Nice to see investing in downtown Murphysboro!

Yelp
Every time I come here, I have a good experience. There are always interesting seasonal drinks, including decaf options. There was one drink (I think it was a peach latte) that didn't work, but everything else has been good. The breakfast sandwich is tasty and the kids love those cookies. The natural lighting in the place is amazing. Service is fast. I like to stop here when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Highly don't recommend this place. Went in for a $50 breakfast and the order came out wrong when we were the first boy table in the restaurant. Then when they took it back, the Cook gave me the most disgusting look like I got the order wrong. And all that I ordered was an just an extra egg. So spoke to the manager and all she was apologize . Not offer to reimburse me for the mess up nothing all she said was sorry....upon Leaving the Cook is giving me stairs through the window and actually came out to try to fight me when the manager was sitting there saying I will take care of this. Def don't don't recommend to go to this place it's over priced and not even that good.

Yelp
We ate lunch there. Tasty. It wasn't our first time and it won't be our last. The bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich was surprisingly delicious. It's January, folks. How they got tomatoes that taste so good in January, I don't know. Just glad they did and glad I ordered. Generous with the bacon too. No complaints there either.

Yelp
Classy breakfast or lunch place. Food seems to be made in house, quality ingredients. I had the fried baloney biscuit, tasted great, didn't give me heartburn. Had a fruit bowl too, quality fruit selection. People at the next table has a salad and French toast, both looked great. It is concrete floors and metal furniture. I suspect , if it got full, it would be loud. Not quite the Iron Whisk, but worthy of 5 stars.

Yelp
Coffee and Chai tea was not good. Priced similar to other cafe style coffee/tea but quality was not there.

Yelp
Great food, friendly service and coffee was so good. I will definitely be back! Chicken salad was amazing, my BF had French toast that was fantastic and the rest of the party had biscuits and gravy and really liked them.

Yelp
Besides the amazingly fresh delicious food, the clean and refreshing atmosphere and friendly staff will definitely have us coming back!

Yelp
I was at the old Post Office waiting for my results. so I took a stroll Down Walnut St. I stopped at Faye, nice place not my usual. sSo the charming woman behind the cash register asked if I had been here before, I said no! well she gave me a rundown of what there was. well I would have usually went to DQ or Cindy Bs. I really liked the look very clean. Bathroom spotless. I got 2 eggs, sausage and a biscuit with Strawberry butter. Everything was great food was delicious coffee was really good! forgot to ask her what kind it was! (next time) I will definitely go again! think I may try the French toast next time. if your down that way give them a try!

Yelp
I was really happy to find this spot. The interior is super modern, spacious, and clean. It was surprisingly busy, even at 2 pm on a Saturday. I ordered an iced lavender latte, less sweet. It came out perfectly. I look forward to coming back and trying other selections.

Yelp
The atmosphere in Faye was lovely, bright and enjoyable. The service was great. I ordered the sausage biscuit sandwich with American cheese, a coffee, and maple crueler. It cost almost $20 for these few things BEFORE the tip. So, expensive. The maple cruller was amazing, warm, light, and fresh. The sandwich was - meh. The biscuit was nice and fluffy but not much flavor. And I was happy to see a handmade sausage patty on the sandwich but it was lacking flavor as well. Honestly, I've gotten more flavorful and cheaper sausage biscuits at Hardee's. It's a lovely place, and I would go again but I don't recommend the sausage biscuit sandwich. For the price I paid, I expected a way better breakfast sandwich. However, the coffee and cruller will bring me back - very tasty!

Yelp
The space is light with window walls, spacious, clean and uncluttered. The staff was very friendly and informative. The only food I had was delicious and memorable. I had the biscuit sandwich with the house made sausage, over easy egg and pimento cheese and a Bloody Mary. Everything was perfect! Especially the biscuit and the sausage patty. I hear the OJ is freshly squeezed so I'll have to try that. The menu is small but everything seems to be made with care. We enjoyed our lunch and will be back!

Yelp
All homemade delicious food and brewing Oynx coffee! Highly highly recommend! Really chill and bright atmosphere!

Yelp
OMG, crullers! Melt in your mouth, light-as-air deliciousness. The biscuits were yummy, too. Really loved the Salt Mocha. Lovely space. Hope to be back that way again.

Yelp
My first time visiting Faye's. Great place. The interior decor is fun, clean and all new. Don't know this area so I'm not sure what the building was originally - but not a coffee house. My coffee was excellent but my breakfast sandwich was better. Fresh sausage (not a frozen sausage patty), eggs on a fresh, homemade biscuit with pimento cheese. Not sure which component of the sandwich was better - the sausage, the biscuit or the pimento cheese. But this place is a must if you happen to be in the area.

Yelp
Faye is the place to go for a Lavender Latte and a Homemade Brown Sugar Poptart! The Chicken Salad Croissant is amazing as are the Salads and Pastries!! Such a great Vibe! Happy to have this new place in town!

Paige D.

Yelp
Great food at Faye. This place is unlike any other cafe in Southern Illinois. There is always great service and they are set up in the cutest spot!

Brent N.

Yelp
Hefty price tag for mediocre food, lackluster service, and a nauseatingly "hip" atmosphere. Also, they forgot BOTH of our coffee orders! Save yourself the trouble and the ridiculous expense! Avoid at all costs!

Yelp
Great place to stopped for brunch, we had amazing made from scratch biscuits and gravy, side of bacon, brewed coffee and ice mocha latte. Place has great ambiance, friendly, great service and delicious food. If you happen to visit Carbondale, IL stop by at Faye you won't be disappointed. Great place, food and friendly people and great service.

Suetta S.

Yelp
We had breakfast here today with our kids. What a treat! I had an Iced Salt Mocha and my husband had a hot Faye-vorite. Both were great! We also tried, biscuits and gravy, an sausage egg biscuit sandwich, and 3 cruellers. Definitely not let down! The workers were nice and the space was open, airy, and refreshing. Check them out!

Yelp
Lovely, lovely place and the food is good. The sun shines in the front windows from the south and it's just a great place to meet with friends for lunch or a quick cup of coffee and a pastry. Faye is such a compliment to Murphysboro.

Melissa C.

Yelp
So I went here on Saturday, July 16th with my sister and brother-in-law. To say we were all unimpressed would be an understatement. I had high hopes but they had no gravy for the biscuits and gravy (it's a Saturday morning, why would you not be prepared?). The biscuits themselves were heavy and crunchy. I just don't think biscuits should be crunchy. And the butter was frozen and impossible to spread on said crunchy, biscuit. The coffee drink, meh. At least we now know that Faye in Murphysboro will not be a destination for us. Live and learn.

Norka R.

Yelp
Real coffee, amazing French toast, light biscuits in a sleek modern diner, perfect for date brunch and special breakfasts. Bloody Mary's dataset at noon. Homemade butters, sophisticated cold brews.

Ashley Y.

Yelp
I can't recommend Faye due to not having been able to eat there because the hours are advertised as open until 4 PM, but the kitchen actually closes at 2 PM. I was directed to a pastry counter with a single strawberry donut in it, which looked a little forlorn, so I left. I drove from Benton, so I just wish the hours were more accurately advertised. I hear good things.

Garren S.

Yelp
Left a review here and Facebook because it was THAT good. Fantastic food and such a cute place. I loved the biscuits and gravy, coffee, and biscuit sandwich. I also have a ton of respect for the owner after noticing the gender neutral bathrooms they have. This place just feels so welcoming for everyone, which is not common in Southern Illinois from my experiences. I will definitely be back when I'm back in the area. Probably would give this an 11/10 review. Knocked it out of the park with this one.

Jo G.

Yelp
We love Faye's! I love the fried bologna sandwich! We have not had anything that was not fantastic. Unique gift shop also. Everyone has loved the chips and wine we have given. Definitely a place to try out! You won't be disappointed!

Ryan L.

Yelp
Staff was lovely and the atmosphere was great for getting some work done. Had the Lavender Iced Latee, which was excellent. Not too sweet, with the right amount of Lavender and the coffee still came through. Saw the biscuits and gravy pass by me and now wishing I would have ordered some...looked sooo flavorful. They have some unique finds in the store, and I will be picking up a bitters set and cherries on my next visit...which will be very soon. One of my new favorites for sure.
