A must-see - just for the opulent exterior and interior decoration. Little information on the man or the design, architectural and social aspects of rich merchant living, but definitely worth a visit. 30 000 som entry which is worth it

We had a free day in Bukhara and decided to visit this Fayzulla Khodjaev Museum. I have heard about him before, but I have never been here. I really liked the place and museum and after hearing some info about him I got interested. He lived in a soviet period and was killed by soviet at 1937-1938 during hard period. It’s a big attractive place where you can peacefully enjoy your time and see the rooms where he and his family lived. How they dwelled and lived those days, though he was a rich man. The rooms are very beautifully decorated and you will see many Bukhara hotels decorated their rooms in the same style, it’s impressive indeed. The guide woman was very helpful and provided us some info about the place. I would say this is a must visit place in Bukhara and I would recommend it to anyone.

This museum is located sonewhat outside the main streets. And is about a 1 km walk away. The museum can be reached by walkibg over a couryard. The museum itself comprises only of the women s quarters. There are nice courtyards and a couple of nice rooms to visit decorated with furniture and other house hold articles from the early 1900s. There is little infirmation about l about the man who lived here once.

A nice villa, telling the story of of Feyzulla Khodjaev. A trip between Bucharan patriotism and the harsh reality of Russian diplomacy...

A beautiful Museum of Fayzulla Khodjaev, famous merchant and politician in the Uzbek history. Looking at the items on display, it's easy to guess what a lavish lifestyle the autocrats led back in the time. Some of the items are gilded and most of the clothing is silk. Sadly, the interiors is occupied by souvenir shops who try to sell you items you are not interested in. Entry fee is UZS 30,000 (EUR2.25) for a foreigner

I reached this site since I exhausted all other destinations on my touristic guide. By walk, you need from 10 to 15 minutes from the museum of arts, but this deserves a visit if you have time. You enter from the mai door and you find the monument of Fayzulla on the right, in front of a closed part of the museum. At the end of the garden, opposite to the entrance, a few steps bring you to an upper courtyard. If you don’t pay attention, the museum seems over. But the most interesting part is in the extreme left corner, hidden by a wall, where you find the entrance (paid 30000 sums) am the the access to the beautiful courtyard, restored and well preserved , where you will see the real lifestyle of the past century of rich family.
