Fazenda São Francisco do Corumbau

An absolute gem of a find |If you are looking for white sand beaches as far as you can see, pristine against aqua blue sea without all the tourist - then this place for you. ||I loved that when we walked back off the beach we were greeted with chilled towels and a glass of ice cold coconut water ! ||The hotel is professionally run by an excellent manager Thiago and his very capable and engaging team: you can see they care what you think about the experience and are always looking to excel ||The rooms are spacious and I noted the superb linen and comfy beds |The food is local sourced with an element of international twist so a great selection at all meal service (Although I implore you to take a walk along beach to local fishing village area where food and cocktails are excellent & you will feel like a local quickly with the generous welcome they give you)||All in all a very special experience and definitely an undiscovered area - road bit bumpy to get there but thank goodness as otherwise it would be ruined with all the inevitable visitors to the paradise spot ||W

We spent four nights at Sao Francisco in August. We had the place to ourselves and felt like royalty. The beach is spectacular and basically your very own. In our four days there, at most, five other people in total walked by the beach. The staff was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. It is a long trek and very quiet. If you are looking for action, this is not the place. The food was excellent. We had each meal there but never felt limited. The menu changes daily but the kitchen accommodated special requests. The common areas in the hotel are super tasteful; the rooms are on the simple side but you are outside the entire time. We were a family of five and all of us loved our stay.

It´s hard to choose the proper words to describe the hotel and its surroundings. There´s no downside worth mentioning. The rooms are very well decorated and charming. The restaurant is amazing - everyday the chef prepares a special menu with outstanding options and combinations. The staff is friendly and always ready to provide anything you may request. Regarding the beach, it´s for sure one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil - clear water, white sands and sunny all year long. To sum-up, it´s flawless.

It was exactly what I needed, a truly secluded, remote and beautiful place with amazing food and great service! ||||Whether you want to go for a long walk on the 15 km beach or ride a bike on it, or sit by the pool with a good book, it is just the right place to disconnect with all the amenities and did I mention the food? All fresh, organic, and lots of seafood! ||||I took the car ride rather than the helicopter to get to know the surroundings. It was a great ride with Roubinho with so much information on the early Portuguese settlers. ||||I would go back without hesitation!

It definitely worth a longer stay there next time! This is simply a paradise to enjoy and have fun with family and friends. The staff there is very well trained and careful. The food is also a discovery of tastes and local flavors starting early in the morning until later in the night. Have fun and relax, you must deserve it! This is the right place. All rooms and villas are incredible.

The Fazenda is a wonderful place for relaxation and fully disconnecting from the world. ||It is a long distance from the nearest airport (our suggesting is to book the helicopter ride from the airport)... ||With no other properties around, it is a small place with only a handful of guests Bungalows...It is located in front of a beautiful beach that goes for miles and it has a decent size pool. There is a small fishing village at one end of the beach, a place where you can go to have a drink or even a meal.||The service is first class...they anticipate your needs. It was nice to have someone waiting with a cold glass of coconut water every time we got back from a beach walk. They have an in-house chef that makes a variety of dishes to select from, do not be afraid to ask for a particular regional dish you want to try, they are very willing to accommodate. ||If you want to get away from it all, Fazenda Sao Francisco will be a fantastic choice.

This place is the right place to feel at home, at an isolated location with an empty beach!||Great staff and structure. Amazing personalized food menu (as all meal are included in your room rate)!||The staff will call you by your name since you arrive and will always be around. Assuming the hotel is located far from any big city, this is an amazing achievement.||Hotel pool is very quiet and has sun beds for all guests (assuming 2 guest per room), as the hotel has only 10 rooms. There is not too much more to do in the hotel, but that is ok in case you are looking for tranquility.||The ‘bungalow’ room is great! Very spacious with a very big bathroom and closet area. Very clean and with decent toiletries. The room bed was too soft, but not uncomfortable. The balcony seating area was nice, but lacks a little bit of privacy. The smaller room was too small and we think it is not worth to travel that much and stay in a normal hotel room.||The transfer from Porto Seguro airport by car was far (4hs), but not uncomfortable. Nice to see the region with great views. As a nice gesture, the hotel should add the car transfer cost into the room rate and in case you decide by an helicopter transfer they could give a discount related to the car transfer... We don’t see too many guests going there with their own car...||As said, at the booking moment, they will ask if any diet restriction. That means you can also say what you like and what you don’t! They will make their best effort to deliver great dishes according to your taste. Btw, it was too much food! Nice small portions also for pool or beach time. Nice wine list, updated according to availability, daily! Breakfast is on demand, based on their options - you may ask for everything! During one night the dinner was served by the pool area, facing the big fireplace - great for a full moon night!||It would be interesting if they also consider adding new activities’ option such as a tennis court or an outside heated pool.||We really enjoyed and will be more than happy to come back! Special thanks to Solange, Tom and Edimar, but also other hotel staff members (reservation office, housekeeping, cooks, waitress, etc) our stay was great!

We enjoyed our stay at Fazenda Sao Francisco. The Fazenda and surroundings are gorgeous, wild, clean and safe. Extremelly attentive staff; great food, very tasty and light. The room was spatious and clean. The living area was great and was air-conditioned. The bathroom was extremelly hot and poorly vented. Although not an issue for us, the way into the bath tube had no security corridor, which might be a problem for older people. As in any other wild place, there were lots of mosquitos. We used ICD based repelents and were not biten at all. Although the wi-fi signal was decent in the room, it was erratic in the property. Some of the major phone operators had no signal there; something that could be solved easily since there was adequate signal in a very small village 1 km away. We are not crazy about wi-fi and mobile phones, but these are also security ithems these days. We also missed a small gym, although you could argue that walking in the beach is even better. The Fazenda is far from any shop or pharmacy; so bring everything you need. This is a secluded place for couples, although we saw some families. This is also a place for people who could take pleasure from the beauty of nature and relaxation. Do not go there if you are stressed by not having shops and parties nearby.
