Feast

I genuinely wanted to enjoy this pop-up, especially since I remembered the food being pretty mid in the past and was curious to see if anything had changed. Unfortunately, it was exactly as I remembered. My fiancé didn’t understand why I had described Feast as having such mediocre food, and I’m equally confused as to why Battalion would choose to host this concept for a pop-up. • Ground Lamb Kebabs: Best thing sent out, they were just fine and would never order again. • Jack Mac: Very bland, lacking depth or seasoning. • Pork Belly Wrap: The flavor was fine, but the use of iceberg lettuce really cheapened the bite. A higher quality lettuce would have made a noticeable difference. • Quail Legs: Had so much potential but ended up bland and underwhelming. • Braised Short Rib: Bland and served cold (I do not think this was intensional) which made it even less enjoyable. I also understand the recommendation to order tapas-style, but it feels like common sense not to send out something like the Mac as a standalone first dish. The pacing, like the food, fell flat. This recommendation to order all the food at one time is to the restaurants benefit as if the food had begun to come out we most certainly would not have continued to order more. The server was hesitant to make recommendations on the menu, I imagine he knows that the food just is just not very good. Overall, the experience was just… mediocre. I truly wish it had been better.

Feast in San Antonio absolutely lived up to its name! The food was so good I couldn’t stop myself — I ordered two rounds of the sweet corn fritters and two of the ground lamb kebabs. Both dishes were incredible: the fritters were crisp, sweet, and perfectly balanced, while the kebabs were seasoned and grilled to perfection. Even the carrots stood out — tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. As amazing as the food was, the staff took the experience to another level. Kelly’s attention to detail was beyond expectations. His deep knowledge of the menu, spot-on pairings, and genuine recommendations made the evening feel personalized and memorable. He struck that perfect balance of professionalism and warmth, and his attentiveness will have you asking to sit in his section again and again. I can’t wait to come back and work my way through the rest of the menu — Feast is a must-visit in San Antonio!

Excellent dinner! Waitstaff was kind, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu - making great suggestions. Restaurant serves tapas style, we ordered 5 dishes for 3 of us and it was perfect. Everything was delicious, but the corn fritters and mussels were a stand out. Mac and cheese, and lamb kebabs were also notable. Signature cocktails are great, I suggest the Prince. We were lucky enough to come in during happy hour, which included discounts on drinks and some plates. A great bargain!

So very good!! Flavors of everything were absolutely on point and somehow were all very complimentary of each other. I was flat out amazed with my food!! The house donuts were also so different and soooo good! The WT was a delicious plate and the chili mac complimented its flavors perfectly!! I like the drinks well enough, but wasn't super impressed with the duchess.. Just seemed like it was missing a little something, idk.. Anyhow, still absolutely loved my experience, as the food was so dang good! Will be back to try the gigantic french toast, it looked so good I almost asked a dude for a bite on the way out. But, I kept myself in check... 9.8/10, will definitely be back!

Read a lot about Feast being an amazing restaurant and that was spot on. The food and decor was great, the service was lacking. I only review based on food, which is definitely a five star. I stopped in for brunch and had the handkerchief crepes and the SA breakfast. The tacos were by far the best thing I tried.

Interesting place, with some unusual and tasty options. Eight of us ate here as a group. Most things were enjoyed and well-received, but my ribeye steak, while quite flavorful, had an unusual amount of fat even for a ribeye. The corn fritter nugget appetizers (I forget what they are called on the menu) and the sauce that came with them were very good. 🙂

This is such a great restaurant. It has a fun and laid back atmosphere. Every time we have visited, the food is delicious and we are provided with quality service. I preferred when they had a tapas style menu, but I appreciate the desire to keep things fresh. The menu has unique flavors and offers exciting meal options.

Very nice place. Simple dinner menu with little to choose from, but what we got was good. Loved the salad. The smoked trout was good, but the Chicken Picatta was excellent! Highly recommend it! The place is nice and located in the King William District. You won't be disappointed.
